All these issues aside it wouldn't have been that upsetting but the disinterest and unapologetic attitude of the agents in the office is what was so upsetting. I love the building. The pool was always nice in the summer. Rent is on the lower end for the area. Parking is difficult at times but being across the street from the grocery store makes up for it. Then the move out process started and back to dealing with the folks at the leasing office who are less than pleasant. First off they tell you that in the last two months of living there they are going to show your apartment to strangers while you live there. That's annoying but I get it. The interim property manager Rita and the maintenance manager Bill were generally rude and unhelpful. The property manager Jess told me in 2023 improvements would be made to security and the deck area but nothing was done and she quit shortly after I signed. The traffic noise from Main Street is TERRIBLE. The stoplight on the corner means theres a ton of engine noise, revving sirens, especially on weekends and in the summer and the sound insulation sucks. Thin walls make it easy to hear neighbors TV's, conversations and footsteps and neighbors dogs barking for hours. Jess misinformed me about my spot on the garage waitlist and never received one. I paid $70/month for a spot in an unsecured surface lot with no gate or lights, where my car and others were broken into. Bill & Management said the security cameras didn't work and that they weren't responsible for them since the lot is leased from another owner. The elevator above the parking garage was frequently out of service. Packages are stolen since there's no real security for the mail room. This neighborhood in general has gotten worse for crime, assaults and shootings almost every weekend, lots of cars broken into and stolen, and there was a stabbing near the surface lot. The security deposit process took over 45 days but Kirby who works in the management office was actually very helpful to get it processed. If ALL that isn't enough to convince you to look elsewhere, the balconies aren't even usable to the constant gross black carbon buildup due to bad air quality from traffic. I agree with the other residents to avoid the place like the plague. Couldn't be happier to be done with Haxall View!

It began life as a tobacco factory, as did so many buildings here. Each apartment has a different layout. No 2 are exactly alike. They retained the character and aesthetics of this historic building with exposed brick in most rooms, exposed wood support beams, and the incredibly high ceilings, some with exposed ceiling beams. The kitchens and bathrooms have modern touches, as do the entry halls. If you are lucky enough to get an apartment on the top floor, you will also have a choir loft, as these are duplexes. Each apartment also has a large balcony. A rarity in this area. Not just big enough to put a few plants, but actual patio furniture... Next, the staff. Maintenance crew is so professional, and very quick to address any issues. Bill is just about the godfather of the building lol! You'll never have an issue that's overlooked or dragged out. The tenant portal is so easy to navigate, make your maintenance request thru there, they notify you immediately, and shortly thereafter someone arrives to check on it. The main office staff, Evan and Ms. Rita are the best to work with, answer any questions, make sure are problems are resolved quickly. I read reviews about other buildings while looking around. They are horror stories. Things nightmares are made of. Haxall View is a dream...
