The are now owned by 42 North Dental Care, PLLC practice and this company is owned and operated by dentists Dr. Samuel Shames, DMD. and Dr. Ronald Weissman, DMD. Since they took over all the former dentists are gone and last I knew most of the staff had left. They put crowns on three on implants I had done at an oral surgeons office in December 2023. Last week, 18 months later they sent me a huge bill. A week later I got an automated call asking for me to pay over $2500 right then. This is just one of the most absurd situations I have every been in with a dental office. The doctor that did the crowns, Dr Pabaney, was the worst dentist I have ever had. I only went to them because I was with the practice when I first stared the implant process. Not only was it a total nightmare just getting them to call me back to get an appointment but his chairside miner was rude, he had THE WORST BREATHE OF ANYONE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED and he is supposedly a dentist. Even his dental assistant knew he smelled, the look on her face was a look of horror, even she couldn't take it. Since I've moved to the area there are so many other dentists office that you have to go anyplace else. Also, look for who the owners are, if they have anything to do with 42 North Dental Care, PLLC stay away.

As soon as we started speaking, he berated me for missing appointments that were scheduled during a period I was recovering from an epileptic seizure, something I had told him. He went on to stress the importance of his losing money. As a final insult, he said I may have "been eating jelly beans" rather than recovering from a grand mal seizure. I hung up after telling him I was deeply offended, but I believe no one deserves to be treated like this.

Dr Harika and Rachel the new assistant were dead silent during my 3hr temporary crown appt. I hate when there's no chemistry between hygienists and dentists cause it feels really uncomfortable. Wouldn't give me the sedating nitrosoxide I requested. I had to keep asking Rachel to stop pushing the tool so hard into my top lip I thought it was going to bleed. Instead of acknowledging it, Dr Harika tried to confuse me and said "Oh yes there's a cavity right there that's why it hurt." Wicked insulting. One can imagine my surprise when I felt my dentist move suddenly onto drilling an adjacent, perfectly healthy tooth without any warning. I stopped her to find out what the hell she was doing. Her reaction was that she didn't legally have to tell me or ask first so, why bother? Not exactly the attitude I'm accustomed to in a dental practice but I know this does exist. I will look for another dentist when this project is completed. After 3 weeks (the typical time frame is 2-3 weeks) I arrived for my appointment for the final step. After waiting a few minutes, the receptionist tells me sorry but the crown hasn't arrived and I didn't need to come. In addition, Dr. Harika is out of the office for 2 more vacation weeks. I will need to endure 6 weeks with a fllimsy temporary crown cover I can't chew on. Update: Shocker; my fake crown popped off, at work, and no response from the dental office. Not even an answering service, or outgoing voicemail set up. The message said: "The voice mailbox you're trying to reach has not been set up to receive incoming messages." Since I'm trusting them with thousands of my hard earned dollars in dental work, I feel anxious not being able to reach them in the case of a dental emergency.

My routine teeth cleaning has always been with the use if an ultrasonic scaler as I am prone to heavy plaque & tartar buildup and has proven to always be effective. My last cleaning a month ago was done by a manual scraping instrument during the entire cleaning and asked to have water spray scaler used instead but was ignored.Also I was told i had a small abscess infection on upper gums and asked for an antibiotic to help reduce/eliminate it so as to not worsen while on vacation and they denied my request. Other issue i had at this practice was the high turnover rate with the many different dental hygienists that have gone through the revolving door. As soon as I found one that I really liked she was gone by next cleaning which I get done 3X/year. Lastly, I am finding the original dentists who opened the practice are hardly present in the office any more only to be replaced by more different and new dentists which doesnt help cultivate a consistent and familiar rapport patient-dental provider relationship. I guess gone are those days...and oh by the way this dental office does NOT accept my dental insurance plan as of late for ANY dental service.
