    They don't respond to phone calls. We should get rid of HOA. As a homeowner and member of the HOA I expect better service.

As an owner of rental properties for more than 20 years, I have hired many property managers both in Sonoma County and other areas of California. Laura, the property manager, has been the most knowledgeable, responsive and friendliest of all the managers I have worked with. She is simply outstanding! I'm currently dealing with a difficult situation while trying to sell my property with a tenant in place. Laura has been patient and kind as well as responsive to all of my requests. I highly recommend this team to manage your rentals. Their fees are good too, lower than most!

I spoke with him, too, and he came across to me as smart, competent, and very able to rent our house. This was mid-July of 2020. By December 31, his assistant, Laura, wrote us to say there wasn't interest in our house. We immediately called another property manager who genuinely couldn't understand why the house hadn't been rented. She had a signed rental contract 8 days later. Read that last sentence again. This is why I'm writing this review. During the almost 6 month period we had the house with SCPR, I received a few emails from Laura: The prospective renter wanted $ off the rent, or had some other ask. We always compromised with the request, but nothing ever happened. The house was furnished when we signed the contract with Chris. At the time he said that it added a challenge, but that they would get it done. At some point Laura indicated that, because the house was furnished, they were having a hard time finding renters. When the house was still unrented in November, my wife and I went up, packed up the furnishings and asked them to take new photos. Then came a couple more of the same asks: Would we take $ off the rent, etc., etc.? Nothing happened with the home. Then the "nobody's interested in your property" email. I'll leave it at this: Our experience was that our house sat empty for almost 6 months, immediately followed by the next property manager raising the asking rent by $200/month (from the asking price that SCPR set) and it was rented in 8 days!     Where do I start. I rented a house that was managed by Prestige Property Management company. I…read moremoved into the property and found that the house had a severe rat infestation. Neither the owner nor prestige disclosed this issue to me before I moved in. I was told by the manager of the company that the owners had switched to Prestige from another management company because the lack of renting the house. I found out that the previous renter broke the lease due to the owner would not honor that there was a rat issue and remedy the infestation. Many contradictions regarding information I received from prestige and the contractor who replaced the roof. In order to have the owners deal with infestation, clean up and disinfecting properly, I had to quote the California health and safety code for substandard habitability. After the owners realized that the fines would be far greater if code enforcement were involved , they contracted the lowest bid company to clean and disinfect the year's worth of rodent feces and urine in the crawlspace. Prestige did little to advocate for me regarding the owners lack of concern with an unsafe environment. Prestige is dishonest, lacked integrity and unresponsive regarding repeated emails and text messages. As I was very patient and un demanding relating to providing housing elsewhere during clean up. I was never, at anytime, offered discounted rent while living in a substandard environment. Addition to how unsanitary the house was when I moved in, the 64+ year old furnace was red tagged because of fire hazard, cracked heat exchanger, stub par ducts connected to vents which still harbor feces and urine and asbestos present. The owners stated that they were not financially able to replace the furnace and decided to sell the house and therefore I am forced to move after the end of a 12 month lease. I am disappointed and angry that I will have to move which I was anticipating living at the property for several years. I'm angry that Prestige was not forthcoming with the issues of the house and lied to me regarding property that was neglected and run down by slum lords so that they receive money . I am disgusted that upon hearing second hand, that they knew all along the house was having rental problems yet still proceeded to rent. Prestige does not have the tenants welfare in mind and this company is on the same dishonest level as Pure, Redwood and elite property management companies. I will never recommend Prestige to anyone looking to rent or purchase a home .. the customers commitment is far from "prestige". Renter/buyers beware.
