The way that he treats the moms over the dads is some 1950s kind of stuff. When we met with him, he ignored me and basically just spoke to my husband. But that wasn't enough to make me dislike him. I just thought he was trying to "bro out". However, as our year progressed, he was disrespectful to a single mom during morning lineup. She was so upset, she cried afterwards and ended up leaving the school because of him. I had several issues that I didn't like how he handled them. I tried to speak to him but he was rude and manipulative to me the entire time. When my husband got involved he implied that I was "out of control" and to keep a better handle on his family. Lastly, let's talk about how he doesn't care about the children. He prioritized Covid over everything. The parking lot was a wreck and people were speeding. A mom brought it up at a PTA meeting worried someone might hit a child. He responded "Well I'm taking temperatures I cannot police the parking lot". So he did nothing about it. I mean I didn't want my children to get Covid, but I certainly didn't want them getting hit by a car either. He never stood up for the kids to have them go back to school even once other schools were opening in late 2020. He wanted to stay home because he was scared for himself, so he took an entire year away from the kids until they went back for a few hours in March 2021. I am completely shocked that this man is still allowed to be a principal. He runs the school like a dictatorship and moms are scared of him so don't argue. Anything he does people talk amongst themselves but feel helpless to stand up to him. Toxic. Toxic. Toxic. We obviously left the school due to him and he alone. Some tips: 1: stay away from this man. He is NOT your friend if you are a woman. 2: He is 5'4 max so I don't know why people are scared of him but they are so just know if push comes to shove you can probably take him.

The overall quality of the education provided was pretty good. There are some really good teachers with a few being exceptional. There are also some bad teachers too. Unfortunately the exceptional ones have either retired (like the former 8th grade teacher Mr Laner) or have moved on to other schools simply because of administration issues. Like many have stated, the administration is sorely lacking and that all falls squarely on principal Watson who lacks the proper skills and judgement to be an effective leader. Is this a good school? Overall, yes as a local private Catholic elementary and middle school. Were my two girls happy being part of this school? Yes, they created a lot of long lasting friendships and developed good solid religious values through the curriculum. The campus itself has gone through some wonderful improvements through recent renovations, but it could benefit and really flourish with a new principal and a fresh start..

It's a small school, but that's great for feeling known. It's easy to feel like staff cares about the children. Rigorous education - there is such a good push for a solid educational foundation. We felt like the pacing was good whereby it didn't feel like too much time was ever spent on any one lesson. I found myself amazed at times with what my daughter had picked up in school. Small class size - I guess this can be a pro or a con depending on what you're looking for. I really appreciate the small class size because it felt like extra attention would be given to the students. The small size lends itself to the feeling that the teachers can really identify any areas where the students might be falling behind. In fact, our child had been needing some extra help from us in a certain area and the teacher was quick to identify it to us so that we could take action. I really liked that. After-school curriculars - it seems like a nice blend of offerings throughout the school year to accommodate a lot of interests. Drama and after-school sports class always seemed to be popular. Safety - even though the school is right off Pico, the school really feels safe and secure. They have a good system to keep track of the children and solid gates and doors. During Covid, they really kept a good system for keeping the kids safe. There was weekly testing and great response times when there were positive cases. Tuition - the cost does go up each year, but it feels manageable and in line with costs that increase in all other areas of life these days. No complaints there. There are tuition discounts when you become a member of the church. Playground - while there isn't playground, the kids seem to really enjoy the blacktop area. They can run around and play games. They can also play basketball and volleyball. In the end, we are really happy that we chose St Timothy. It's been a great experience thus far and we look forward to more years here.

Ms. Josie, the director, has made such thoughtful and important changes to the school's facility to make it a safe, nurturing and engaging place for children. Many of her staff have worked there for years and their kindness and dedication to the children is so apparent. My children know they are loved. There is so much play space (indoor and out) and never a shortage of activities. From the garden yard to the bike yard to the playground to the reading nooks - there is always something to discover, lessons to learn and joy to find. My children learned so many important social skills - they've become confident and independent and remind me to eat my healthy food first (a saying during lunchtime at SJP). We are not Lutheran but appreciated that they teach love and acceptance and to celebrate differences. The classes are small, this is not a giant, impersonal daycare. We bonded with many of the families and feel like we're part of a true community. Tuition is reasonable and the hours are IDEAL for working parents.

If you as a parent want to witness gaslighting by some teachers and the administration to your student so you can embed a deep fear of authority. Then take your child to this school. If you want to be lied to, belittled, and ignored... go to this school.
