The door is secured by a latch. As it's is here in the picnic area, it should be mostly okay from the elements. Three shelves inside, divided into Adult, Teen and Kids. Unfortunately, it's just a big jumble today. But free books are free books and that makes it A-OK. There is parking in the park and there are picnic tables nearby if you'd like to sit and read. I was able to add a couple of paperbacks to the collection as I am reducing the size of my own home library. I also grabbed a book to read today, Alex Trebek's biography that is now back into circulation. This is charter number 61091 and the online caption reads, "I have been enamored with the idea of the Little Free Library ever since I saw one for the first time while jogging in Tyler, TX. The yellow box stands on two supporting posts and has a proper shingle roof. The single door has a rather rusty latch to keep it closed. Inside the box, a jumbled collection of mostly hardcovers that looked to be children's and young adult books that have been liberated (released?) from a local library as they still have their shelf labels on them. Nothing that really caught my eye today though the "Extreme Mountain Biking Moves" would probably crick my neck even reading about that sort of gravity defying fun.
