I have transitioned my children between 4 of the corporation's schools over the course of 8 years as my career has changed and moved me about the southern part of the DFW metroplex because I love the values of the corporation and feel extremely comfortable with the company as a whole. The Christian values and faith based curriculum is very important to us. My children have loved all of their teachers and look forward to seeing them and I know my children are not the only ones who feel that way, judging by the interactions I witness at drop off and pick up. Greatly recommend parents to look into having their child attend this school. **Additional Review: I wanted to write a review on the Everley Rose Center which is the infant building for this school, but i couldn't find it in the search. My baby had to go to that building for a couple months until she turned 3 and could move to the Academy side. The small cozy atmosphere of the building is great and it always smells so nice! The way this place presents itself to families is very different from the experience I ultimately had. You will hear all the right things about safety, standards, communication, and having children first. The price was reasonable, and it felt like a blessing to find them, but it was a nightmare. I quickly became concerned about leadership, supervision, communication, and overall accountability. Communication was another major problem. When the facility needed something from me, they could contact me like it was the end of the world. However, when I needed someone at the school, getting a response was always very difficult. That is not acceptable when you are talking about someone's child. I tried to be reasonable. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I tried to believe that my concerns would be addressed and that they meant what they said. I should have trusted my instincts. Because when I finally saw enough for myself to understand what was really happening, I was sick of it. If something feels wrong, don't convince yourself that you're being overly cautious. You aren't. Your child cannot advocate for themselves the way you can. You trust these people with something that is infinitely more important than your money, your schedule, or your convenience. The other school "seemed" more modern & had fancy video system (which was good when our daughter was little and couldn't verbally tell us about her day), but truly what i learned was a video doesn't stop a mean/scary teacher in action and you cant rewind. However, the children spot provides lots of picture it didn't have a camera to watch the children at home-- but you're welcomed to come & watch from their office if you ever want to come in (which i never needed to because the disposition of my child was better now) . My child is MUCH happier here & learning more here at the children spot. She does hands on activities, tracing & projects (besides coloring all day long as she seemingly did in the other school). She's in love with her teacher "Ms. Missy" and all the staff. I also love the various discounts they offer for military and educators. I highly recommend this place for any parent due to our amazing experience.

Many things went wrong at this location over the year or so that we were there. The main issues we dealt with centered around potty training and teacher turnover. I was told when my son moved to the two year old class that the teachers would be helping with potty training and for us to communicate the potty training plan with the teachers. Come to find out, no one in the classroom was helping with potty training, which was one of the reasons he struggled at home to potty train. He moved to the three year old class where we were abruptly told that he had six months to potty train or he would have to be unenrolled. That was very stressful and we did what we could but, again, there was no help at the school with potty trainig. There was one time in particular that I picked my son (3 year old class) and he was covered in wet mud, shoes were wet and muddy, and he had pull up that was absolutely FULL of pee and poop. It was clear that he had been in that pull up for a while. I went in to talk to the director and she had the audacity to blame me for not working on potty training. Also, teachers do not stick around long enough for children to form bonds with them. The teachers when we were there (in the 2, 3, and 4 year old class), lacked experience, knowledge and patience to handle children of that age. My son knew he was being ignored and most likely put down due to the potty training issue, and of course he's a little boy so he acts like a little boy does, which was communicated to me as "behavior issues." The teachers and director were very quick to tell me all of the negative things at pick up each day. I was even told by a teacher in his class that she puts him with another teacher during the day because she can't "handle him". It was really heartbreaking to know that I left my children at a place all day that treated them the way they did. Thankfully we left this location and since we did both of my boys have thrived, grown, and become amazing little people. The "behavior issues" quickly fixed themselves due to being out of such a negative environment. It truly does matter the environment and people that surround your young children every day. Please be cautious when considering this daycare. Unfortunately, it does not let you rate 0 stars.

First off the teachers here are all extremely lazy, and they get treated so bad here which is probably why nobody cares about doing their job. The management sucks and Berkeley treats her workers like sh** The two year old classroom has had 8 teachers within the past 10 months. That speaks volumes in itself. All never lasting more than a few weeks to a couple months. My 2 year old was also constantly getting rashes due to them not changing my child. Be aware that teachers will talk so bad about other kids in front of you to the other teachers and to certain parents. There's also a teacher there that has pulled on multiple kids and the management couldn't care less.They even let her laugh about it. Since starting here my 4 year old has gotten so behind academically wise. But as far as his teachers they were far more helpful than the 2/3 year old classroom. My son loved Mr. Tyree. I could say wayyy more negative things about this daycare but I'll leave it at this. Without having made bonds with Mrs.T, Mrs.Nicole or Mr.Tyree I most definitely would have left a long time ago. l've been at a new center for only ONE month, and I have noticed a significant change in my children. I don't want to be a teacher but if I were I'd want to be like the ones who shaped my time here. It makes me tear up thinking about all I experienced from meeting famous authors, starring in musicals, tipping in my Halloween costume on the yellow brick road, and that one time I refused to color in my connect the dots assignments and it was sent home with a note (my mom later framed it). Arlington is already diverse but it was good to see all the different backgrounds my friends were. CU is a warm, family-oriented environment that caters to the individual child. During our exploration, what sealed the deal was what we witnessed during our CU tour. We passed a group of children (who appeared close in age to my child) working on a group project in the library. They were discussing their different perspectives and had books that they were referencing. While we knew nothing about the project, I was impressed by how immersed they were in the work, and all appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the educational experience. So many vital skills were underway without them knowing it, which filled us with optimism about our child's future development at CU. Our family couldn't be happier to be part of the CU family.
