my grandson would not speak up and as his guardian will speak out if he won't as he is finally at a clinic cause of a close call to overdose! im shocked that a company would offer any kind of hiv drug abuse course but so badly advertised. do better mental center. that was not a session for help and was a waste of time to get him there on two buses! i called over and over to mendoza line 279 with no answer and my email bounced back cause I wanted to get him help or guidance along with his friends that need it and are positive. such a disappointment we were looking forward to. im glad a clinic could step in to help out. we almost lost him and im happy he is in care but your misguided course did nothing but stray him to leave outside to use again. i hate that happened and I blame this session read more

I started going to CCC at the beginning of 2022 and attended a group session with Jodie as the counselor. A few months ago I requested Jodie to be my therapist and he has been so awesome. He is non-bias, non-judgmental and his number one concern is how to help and improve my beliefs of myself. On day one he provided me with a small journal to keep in my purse where I can write down soothing techniques I learn in our sessions each week, he also occasionally provides homework. We are currently working on changing my negative beliefs into positive cognitive beliefs and using EMDR techniques to help me overcome trauma I've experienced. I've seen multiple therapists over the years but I've received the most progress with Jodie. - If you're reading this Jodie, Helping others is a gift of yours and I feel very grateful for your guidance. I usually don't do this, but maybe my review will help someone. I was trying to get services here in this establishment, and was schedule an intake appointment for today over the phone at 8am. I waited 40 minutes and no call ever came in. That's when I decided to give them a call because I understand sometimes things happen. I spoke with the receptionist and informed her that I had an appointment at 8am, but I never received a call. She responded with a bad attitude saying that they did call me 3 times and that she will send me screenshots of proofs and she could transfer me to the counselor, but the person wouldn't answer my call. I usually don't let this sort of behavior affect me because I understand maybe she was probably having a bad day. The thing that upset me was that I treated her with kindness. I wasn't rude I was truly wondering why they hadn't called me. Her reaction was no acceptable for the reason that she is the face of an organization where people rely on there services. I understand in this field clients could be rude, but I was not that person. Therefore, I informed her that I no longer was interested in receiving services. After a brief moment,they sent me a message apologizing because it turns out that they had called the wrong number, but after that small bad interaction with the receptionist. I do not recommend this place and would definitely not feel comfortable receiving services here. read more

Unfortunately, they do not accept Medicaid if you opted for Amerigroup through the Medicaid program. I was denied services on this basis. Although I cannot evaluate the quality of their services, I can warn Medicaid recipients who selected the Amerigroup option to look for another provider instead of Community Counseling Center of Southern Nevada (CCCSN). Normally this wouldn't be an issue for me, but it was a major inconvenience given that they misleadingly claimed on call that they accept Medicaid. In addition, they refused to refer me to another provider, which is quite unprofessional. I was able to use my own time to reach out to a different provider, ROI Counseling LLC (on Alta & Decatur). So far, they have confirmed that they accept Amerigroup (through Medicaid or not), and have scheduled an intake appointment with me. Between CCCSN and ROI, I'd choose ROI. UPDATE: I did some research, and CCCSN is not approved by Amerigroup as a valid provider. This means that CCCSN failed to meet the standards that Amerigroup requires of its providers. read more

This organization (fully aware of my past depression issues and hospitalizations for suicide attempts) treated me like trash and refused me service because I told them I would not allow them to speak to me in the degrading tone for being 15 min late. I informed the desk clerk that I just needed to get a refill prescription for my anti depressants I hadn't been able to get to a doctor because my insurance ran out. I said I hadn't been on my meds for 6 months, It was an HOUR appointment and these weren't even meds that are abused by people. I had begged that she at least explain this to the doctor and she cut me off and slammed her hand on the table saying i needed to reschedule. The next available appointment was 6 weeks later. I asked if I could get a referral to another organization that could help and she wrote a number down on a tiny piece of paper and rudely flicked it through the small hole in the glass (the referral was to an organization that would not help me because they are a substance abuse center and I unfortunatly answered honestly that I am not an addict). I relented and waited for the next appointment. two days before this appointment I got a call saying the doctor has a family emergency and I need to reschedule that appointment. When I called to reschedule I was told it would be another 60 days. I was extremely upset and I yelled at the uncaring attitude in which they address their patients. I took whatever I was given. I had started seeing their couselers there and expressed that I wanted to file a complaint and I restated that I hadnt been on meds for MONThs and that I was getting worse and that I was afraid that I was going to slide all the way back to when I attempted suicide. The fact that I mentioned that i was afraid of no access to meds and the suicidal fear caused their counselor to tell me that i needed to stay there and that what I said he is required to have me on a 36 hour hold and then condescendingly said that I would at least get my meds (I also had no insurance and a three day hospital stay would be thousands of dollars) I ran out of there and had they really only been concerned for me, I would think that they would have called 911 but no one even followed up with a call to check on me after. When I called to find out who the head of the psych dept was to tell them what was said and to try and get just a prescription. I was told the head of their facility was in Washington DC for a conference and that I was no longer welcome to their facility (which even surprised the woman that was temporarily in charge - she said she had not known anything about my situation or this decision) The decision was solely made because I yelled at the girl (who i suspect was the same one I spoke with before that)who worked THE FRONT DESK., She had made a statement that she feared I was dangerous and violent. I never made violent threats, I was yelling (also crying and begging and asking why would they treat ple in need like this. This decision was told to me to be something that I could not address until the head of the department was back from DC in a few months. She reccommended that I try the Nevada mental health center. Anyone else in this position i really advise caution. I have spoken to a couple others who have also had their mental issues used against them when they started wanted to file a complaint. This is scary because when you hear them share their experience you think they must have brought this on themselves or that they haulicinated or misunderstood the situation. (as you probably do with my story) For me, I called my doctor who I saw up until I lost my insurance. He was so wonderful offering me a discounted rate and besides just the perscriptions also gave me samples so i would not have to immediately pay for my meds with no insurance (the Seroquil is over $100). He is not taking new patients or else I would hype him up and down the web. The level of care that the mental health doctors (with great insurance) is piss poor (you mostly only have Harmony Healthcare as the option that doesn't have a year waiting list for new patients. All the great Doctors I had people recommended to me were not taking new patients. I left Las Vegas completely and was able to get the help I needed in about a week. Even though I know many will not believe that I was not the violent menace that I was told I was on the phone, I felt I needed to post my story SOMEWHERE. Mental health many are ashamed of and may not have the ability to stand up for them self. They spoke to me like I was so ungrateful for their free generous help. (Its not FREE they get money from donors and grants that could be better used to not hold over someone that is desperate for help. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE GO TO Nevada Mental Health center. The area of town is a little scary, but that doesn't keep me away from excellent service. The clinical director, Elaine Nelson, is the best therapist I ever had. She knows her business and goes above and beyond to help you through your issues. The front desk staff changed lately, but they're always friendly and helpful. read more

This place uses a simple and poorly planned Q&A system that in many cases all it does is generalizing the needs of those who may not need as much help as others or may not need a class to take at all. The staff at the front desk is more help than the ones who evaluate your needs, I recommend to visit another place where they dedicate time for your first visit and will answer your all question. A place that will take your questions and show you respect as a human, No behind a glass window, labeling you and making you a general case base on a poorly planned Q&A system that only scratches the surface of who you really are and what you really need. read more
