I took my son by a teeth cleaning and the hygienist only greeted us but did not tell us her name. It felt rush, the hygienist spent 3 minutes cleaning my son's teeth. My son didn't open his mouth, but the hygienist did not spend the time to clean his mouth. She was more worried about flouride, which I declined. She then opened the tooth brush and had my son brush his teeth. After using the tooth brush, she just threw the tooth brush in a bag and gave it to us. This visit was more about productivity and rather caring about the patient. Do not go there if you are looking to get your teeth cleaned. The dentist was ok, but the clinic does not care about their patients. A visit should not be 15 minutes. read more

I scheduled a cleaning and exam because my regular dentist was backed up for months. I waited for 15 minutes. Then was called back. They took X-rays and then the dentist came in to do an exam. They never cleaned my teeth and told me I'd have to schedule another appointment for that. They were determining a treatment plan. They put together a list of costly procedures my regular dentist had warned me against. I wasted one of my twice yearly cleanings on a predatory exam. read more

This dental clinic is a mess. This place is not capable of even making a temporary crown. Mine fell off the first time 24 hours after they put it on. The services would be 10x better but they never seem to have an office manager on staff. They claim to have two but they never call you back. First let me start off, I am on State insurance so dentists that I am able to go to are EXTREMELY limited. That being said, I haven't been to many other dentists since I was a child, so keep that in mind while reading and reflecting on my review. I am 24 years old and have been coming here for about 11 or 12 years. Most of the work they have done has been great, but over those 12 years there have been a couple problems. Most of the male dentists are really really nice. There are a three female dentists that I have seen, two of them were really rude and not very personable. One of the female dentists was really relatable, kind, and personable. She and I had a lot of hobbies in common such as snowboarding , so it was really nice to have a female dentist that I cos relate to. She no longer works here, and I really wish she did. She did great work and was all around a great dentist. One of the other female dentists literally made me cry she was so rude. I was scared to ask her any questions. Maybe she was having a bad day? I have no idea, but I've hesitated coming back because of her. A few years ago they had some dental technicians/assistants that dropped instruments on your face, didn't speak any English, and for someone that already has a fear of the dentist and only speaks English, that was a nerve racking experienced for me. If you need to come in for an emergency walk- in be very wary that even though their website says they do emergency walk in's everyday, they don't. On the days they DO decide to do emergency walk in's, they only do it at the times they want to and there is no guarantee you will be seen. read more

My first visit was today and I was really impressed with Community Dental Care. My dental care options are limited due to insurance and I've usually felt like a billable insurance code rather than a person. Not always their fault, as I know state insurance dentists are probably underpaid and overworked. Community felt different to me. First off, they were able to get a single tooth appointment for me within a couple of weeks, unheard of anywhere else! I did not have to wait for my appointment once I arrived, and the front desk and dental assistants/hygienists were all great. I used Apple Maps which took me to the wrong building aces the street, and I missed my initial appointment. They were so nice to fit me in later in that day - even though it was my mess up! My Dentist had a great bedside manner and immediately I felt I was in good hands. She took extra time that she didn't need to just for my comfort a few different times. While filling a cavity, she also noticed a rather deep cavity in an adjacent tooth, both of which had been missed/dismissed by my previous dentist. I immediately booked a cleaning appointment and will be switching over after this experience because I definitely feel better taken care of with Community after one visit than I ever have before anywhere else. read more

destroyed my cup childrens teeth. improper treatment and procedures. billing for cleanings when not performed correctly on myself. never had exam and X-ray's at least cleaning appointment. they have too many patients and not enough openings. you wait months to be seen to get issue addressed. they only cavity at a time. they do not l give out full treatment plan when you think they do. Racism towards white people who have commercial insurance for their children. Retired and now on Medicare with a new private Dental Insurance plan. I sought their network dentist which led me here. My first visit began with a non-eventful short wait in the lobby. It was a pleasant wait. I was led to various imaging by an assistant who was respectful and professional; seen by two dentists of different skills who also were very professional and nice really. Then the front desk scheduled me to get a filling in February, I left feeling well treated having no complaints. I foresee a workable and pleasant future relationship with Community Dental in Maplewood. I'm happy. read more

I've always gone as a kid and returned as an adult! The staff are always really nice and respectful. I feel like they really do look after my teeth. In between the years I went to a dentist who didn't use novocaine for my filling which caused some trauma. He also did not use the best of items but with the doctors here, I really feel like I'm being taken care of. They are extremely busy so do book a few weeks in advance, the earlier the better. With that being said missed appointments come with consequences. The do have emergency visits but again, they are extremely booked and will try to see you if they can. read more

I would first like to start out by saying I am a huge baby. Don't like needles, don't like dentists. Long Story short I ended up with three broken molars. Problems arose and I was in so much pain I could barley move. They not only found a way for me to get my teeth fixed right away in an affordable manner they were the nicest dentist's I have ever encountered. I ended up with Oral surgery and having to come back a few days later with a nasty infection and they fixed me right up. I highly recommend them to anyone in search of a dentist! These women do great smile work with a smile. Their office is comfortable and pleasantly busy. The parking is great. Give them a call. read more
