The front office also cannot figure out how to bill the correct insurance I have. As far as how being seen by the doctor goes, I've waited 30-45 minutes in the patient room to see the doctor. The last time I went, he said he would have to research if there's any medicines he can prescribe that don't interact with what I currently take. He seemed rushed, probably because he was so behind, but I never did get that prescription. All in all, unless you get lucky, this place will waste A LOT of your time.

Another dentist had recommended simply replacing the fillings on those teeth. However, that other dentist also recommended putting two crowns on the front tooth. This little kid dentist missed that completely. When I brought this to his attention, he recommended leaving those teeth alone completely. So, we have two different dentists in two different practices with two different opinions of what needs to be done. The common thread is they both chose expensive procedures but for different teeth. They have this really fancy machine that has a wand on it. It goes in your mouth and creates a 3D image of your teeth. From this 3D image, the little kid dentist made his recommendations. He mentioned one tooth was cracked. Was it cracked or was that a surface stain? A surface image won't show that. If only there was some invention that could show the condition of a tooth on the inside to show cracks, decays. If only someone would invent something that could show the actual condition of the teeth. Oh, yeah, like X-Rays which they took but never referenced. Red flag. They had this round faced girl come in and put pointy things in my mouth and said you need a deep cleaning. I looked at her point blank and said we're not doing that! The look on her face just melted like a snowflake. I told her the old name for this procedure which is called splitting the gums? Guess why it was called that and guess why they changed the name? The financial officer came in with a five page amounting to thousands of what they were going to do. Of that, the insurance would only cover 40%. Very fishy that two dentists say two different thing.

I will take my business elsewhere. They claim to be in network but overcharge for their procedures so even in simple procedures both patient and insurance pay.

I shopped at another orthodontic clinic (Spillers) and Dr Lisenby is so much better at listening to me as a patient and adapting his overall plan to my requests as his patient. I feel strongly about not putting micro-plastics in my body and expressed to Dr. Gordon at Spiller's that I didn't want plastic Invisalign parts in my body because of my concerns about exposure to micro plastics. And Spillers's Orthodontics was not willing to accommodate my concerns about micro plastics and were not willing to apply the old-school "train tracks" braces that are made from metal and not from plastics. Dr. Gordon at Spillers's told me that I would have to wear a plastic piece in my mouth for the rest of my life to keep my lower teeth in line. But, that's not something that I wanted. And I'm really grateful to Dr. Lisenby for being kind enough and considerate enough to let me use the old-school method which would pretty much eliminate my exposure to micro plastics through orthodontics. I'm really glad I went with Dr. Lisenby instead of Spillers's. And I would recommend Dr. Lisenby to any of my friends and family. So, a big thanks to Lisenby Orthodontics!

My oldest however, the branch in Macon said she needed EIGHT silver teeth - top back four, bottom back four. Wanted to schedule an anesthesia procedure well north of $2K at the Warner Robins location for eight crowns. We didn't feel good about that, so we delayed it and let the ACTUAL dentist in Macon do a couple fillings....he managed to take care of all of her cavities with SIX FILLINGS. No crowns/silver teeth were even needed. They want to push you down to Warner Robins so they can bill your insurance for their anesthesiologist/maximum procedure - NOT what is best for the child or parent. They are solely looking at your child's teeth as a profitable opportunity. Plain and simple. It's a total scam. Do not trust them. Get a second opinion. It gets worse though. The reason I feel SO STRONGLY about this is because we just had my third kid seen there. He's two years old. He had two teeth in the front with white cavity spots that could be seen if you look up close. They decided he needed six crowns and anesthesia. We were reluctant at first but because these were on his front teeth, we eventually paid the $800 to schedule the procedure with another $300 due later (we have insurance coverage, this was our cost). While he was under anesthesia, and without consulting with my wife like they said they would do, they decided to put a silver crown on his back tooth, and added $500 above our agreed upon amount. This was not even detected a few weeks ago on his X-ray. Somehow it was now necessary to grind his back tooth to nothing for a crown. They are deceptive and greedy. The girl on the phone might sound nice but do not take your kids here if you care about their appearance or best interest. They're no different from aspen or any other of these corporate franchise dental practices. They see these kids teeth only as profitable opportunities to bill your insurance unnecessarily.
