They said the 14 year old had to buy a package for kids which was $30 for 10 visits (no smaller packages just to try it out). When deciding on it when she was already with me in her workout clothes, we told the worker that she was going to sometimes come with her friend's family, so we would get it. Nothing was said about any rules against this. A month after that, I decided to cancel my membership because of several reasons (class times not convenient for a teacher. Rigid rules about teen memberships, etc). When I canceled, they called to tell me Tessa's membership would also be canceled since she has to come with me. I told them my understanding was that she just had to be with an adult. They would not budge and told me absolutely no refunds for any reason. This is very poor business. Also, their policies are so rigid...a 14-15 year old must work out with a parent. I don't know many teens that want to be glued to their parent's side when working out. Other gyms have much more flexibility. Other businesses would be more flexible with miscommunications. I'm glad we are ending our membership there.

You can't enjoy the therapy pool alone because the pool piranha lacks attention and needs your constant validation. Then there's the employee with the strawberry blonde brush haircut that hates everyone including itself. Mean, belligerent and can easily grimace, flip you the finger or tell you to SHUT UP! Excuse me....Is one of it's tired, dated lines. When management lacks the balls to use their authority properly, you end up with sacred cow staff members, laziness and a few angered members calling the shots over the majority. This was a first visit and I was taken back with the lack of any ounce of empathy shown by the…read morestaff that we encountered from the receptionist to the medical assistants, nurses and lastly the doctor. 30 minutes after our appointment time we were shown into an exam room. The medical assistant required us as family to hold up the very elderly (95+} patient from a wheelchair 2 weeks after surgery while she yanked out 24 staples from the leg and hip area. There was some inflammation so she left in the middle of the extraction to find a nurse, while we stood holding up the patient. About 10 minutes later she returned. The nurse opened the door half way as our family member was held up by us in underwear and other patients and staff passed by the doorway. Really? She indicated an antibiotic was needed. After staples were extracted the medical assistant announced an x-ray was needed and if we thought the patient would be unable to maneuver alone we should come with to the x-ray room to help. Wow - very surprised at this requirement and the indifference shown. Medical assistant just stood by while we assisted for w-ray. Beyond surprised. Another 15 minutes before the Dr came in. Very cavalier and clearly had no clue who the patient was and any related information we needed from him for the antibiotic and further treatment plan in rehab and thereafter. He couldn't get out fast enough. Fundamental issue was not a shred of real care or concern. People mill. The prescription for antibiotics wasn't sent to the place we specified so took another day to track down where they sent it and have it redirected. All on us and the practice didn't help at all. Unfortunately have to go back for another checkup with this Dr and practice. At least our expectations of long wait times and dispassionate staff is known.

Before I left they assured me they would refund the co-pay they charged me. They didn't do that of course. I went to the Chicago Rush for my appointment but had to drop off my imaging CD at Munster. They told me it would take 10-15 minutes and left 45 minutes later. Morons work the front desk and that says something about the office! If you can get past them it might be good but they could care less at the front desk! The worst part is I had to listen to their stupid nonsense stories while they sat around doing nothing for something that my 10 year old can do in 5 minutes.
