She starting charging at me and pointing her finger in my face and yelling. I am so happy my children were back in the class and did not see how horrible she was. It scares me what she does when parents are not around and how the kids are treated. I made sure to remove my children from that facility ASAP. They are also constantly lying about what they are feeding the children. My Sons would always say how hungry they are to the fact That I would pack additional snacks for my twin boys. I have walked in at times where they were only feeding the Kids Crackers and Water. (They said they were following state regulations) The owners number is on the card-This does nothing because once you call her she does not do anything but says "Have you spoken with the Director" I will be certainly going to the Department of Family services so they will launch a full investigation. Once again keep your children far away. I looked up their past reviews from the DFPS they have citations for teachers being hired without a FBI or Fingerprint background check and incidents on a teacher shaking a child on camera. It truly felt like Ms. Anderson, the director, had a personal problem with me and she took it out on my son. She kept threatening me with kicking him out because he wanted to climb a fence or tried to open a gate. Where were his teachers??? Redirect him! Do y'all not know how to deal with children? Also, he's THREE and developmentally behind. It's like they only want easy kids so they can get easy money. Despite all this, he was sent home one day with a gash on his nose with no explanation, and now has a scar. I wrote a LONG email to corporate and received NO response. Guess they don't like parents who complain. On the day I decided to pull him out, he cried when I said "let's go to school!" That was it for me. Ms. Anderson wasn't even surprised when I called to say my son wouldn't be returning. She didn't even care to ask why. I just know corporate read my email and spoke to her. The whole place is terrible.

I had some amazing, compassionate theology teachers, and one who made me feel like I was going to hell because I wasn't Catholic. Ursuline does prepare you well for AP testing, but in some AP classes that have multiple teachers, how well you do depends almost entirely on which teacher you get as some prepare you better than others. However, the school places WAY too much emphasis on sports, and a lot of the funding is funneled into athletics. When I was there, I was a member of the Speech and Debate team. We got no attention or funding from the school, and it showed at competitions. I had to hire a separate, outside-of-school forensics coach just to know what I was doing. It was frankly embarrassing to go up against other prep schools like Hockaday and Parish, both of which had paid coaches and did very well, with no support from the school. It never really felt like a team as much as it did certain individuals (who were very good but had to figure it out for themselves with no coach) competing.

Coming out of Plano public schools, it was soooo refreshing to finally make some girl friends that are worth keeping (nothing against Plano, but I found my classmates to be a lot of things, but genuine was not one of them). I will have it be noted that it has been 7 years since I graduated and I still talk to my 5 best friends from high school daily (via email.. but it still counts). Friends like that are a rare find and worth every penny my precious parents spent on my tuition here. A few months ago, I went to a dinner for Bay Area Alumnae. It was so fun to see generations of UA girls and get together to hear about what is new at the school. I am really hoping to be able to do it again soon. It sounds like some major renovations are happening and it is so exciting to see our beautiful campus being so nicely maintained. Not only did I make lifelong friends here, but I received a great education and learned to be a confident and competent woman. As a parent, that is all you can ask for!

This review is for Sterling Early Learning Center in Garland, Texas. I believe there is another location but the facility I am about to describe is the one located in Garland. Upon my investigation as far as a dfps center check and rebiews here and there I thought Sterling was going to be an awesome Christian based facility. I visited this school along with others to determine what would be the best fit for my children. Sterling succeded all the others. The teachers there at the time seemed amazing and liked they really loved the children. I liked the fact they had cameras in all the rooms, I liked that the teachers were very hands on, my children felt comfortable upon visiting the center as did myself, and most importantly they claimed to be Christian based. Initially my children loved the center and the two teachers they had at the time were Amazing women. Miss Jessica and Miss Shuntae. Over time sterling seemsd to have a very high turnover rate as far as teachers were concerned so there were new faces here and there, but none the less my children still enjoyed attending the center. I mean seriously it was a good school in the beginning. It was like things changed literally overnight. Like there was a false facade because things started going downhill. I am not going to speak on personal experiences, but my childrens attitudes towards the center started changing and they no lonher wanted to be there and the started acting out after being literally being very well behaved children at daycare away from home. I also started seeing alot less of the director. At times she would not ahow show her face for weeks. She would leave the center in the care of her mother which was okay because her mother was kind to me, kind to my children, and did a pretty decent job of taking care of the school in the directors absence. The director herself seemed lovely at first. Then once you started challenging her on issues or concerns you had, her demeanor changed and stayed that way. Not my place to judge, but you couldnt make me believe she was a Christian woman. You would see less of her but she would send out mass text messages literally everyday all day. You would try to contact her and she would be unavailable. Something serious taking place she would talk to you through someone else or through a text message. Neither which is a professional way to handle a serious matter. Debra E. will talk down to you as if you are ignorant and just clueless and ad if ahe is superior. I could go on and on and on about the director of this business but i wouldnt want drag the names of the good teachers through the mud. Miss Shuntae was very good and loved the mess out of those children. She deserves better than sterling. Mrs. Butler is amazing and lnows how ro handle the children she deserves to be affiliated also woth a deserving center. Mrs. Keisha was really warm-hearted and seemed like a good teacher and there wa an older lady in the infant room that was really warmhearted. Those women alone are the reason why Debra ia still in business. Those arebthe reasons why i continued to allow my children to attend sterling as long as I did. It got to a point where i just couldn't take it anymore anymore. There was always something whether it was the slice processed american cheese, 3 crackers, handful of baby carrots and apple sauce i found them feeding my children for "dinner", the picking my child up to find no order in the classroom because there was a new staff member that couldn't handle the children and was letting them do as they please, or judt the disrespect and retaliation from the supposedly Christian woman who was "running" the center whose was vindictive but would end EVERY text message with THANK YOU, Have a BLESSED day... Please choose wisely. Your children have to spend all day here. This is just my opinion...I had more issues with the director than the staff that was hands on with my children. As a professional person you have ro know how to handle patrons of your business. Especially when the business is to care for children. I am posting this review because there are other reviews on this page in the reviews that are not currently recommended section for Sterling. God says vengeance is his...remember that because in my quarter century of life and being a child of God I have witnessed these things from him...Vengeance or Karma whatever you want to call it....I have never seen it fail...
