This store is a must go to pet shop. I have never been so impressed from one store that has everything I needed for my dog shadow and cat shade . The food is so healthy ( my vet recommended it), Shadow loves the bones and gnawing on one every few days is his favorite treat and healthy for his teeth . The leash I looked at was not quite what I wanted and did not purchase. Incredible store! Great service from Joanne. I see where they get the name , because it really is a community pet shop! A small town, neighborhood welcome- your dog will enter like a VIP. Buyer Beware: I will never step foot in this shop ever again. Their AD for the Santa photo 2024 are photo shop'd from another photographers work in the area. Deceptive advertising. Plagiarism. So much so, I called the wrong person to find out where my photos were. I was thinking my photos were coming from him. He informed me he's not the photographer this year. The old photographer. DO NOT tell me they are not - you're not fooling anyone. I signed up only because I THOUGHT based on the old photos - I was signing up under the original photographer. NOT the one I got. Matter of fact, there's no mention of who your photographer is this year. No contact info. Humm, why might that be? Because the last person has a following? Due to great reputable work. I Paid for the donation. I Never got my extra photos I paid for. I Called the shop. Couldn't get the owner on the phone. I was told to call the photographer. No name - just a cell with a first name. Called him, Got an attitude. Answered "hello" no professional business name. Told me they were sent. They were NOT sent. I asked it to be re-sent. They were Re-sent - NOW couldn't open them. NOT what I paid for. Trying to tell me my device is bad. It's a brand new device. Ok - so that's BS too. I'm hoping my money did go to the charity it was supposed to. ???? I'll never do another Santa photo here. It was amazing when the other reputable photographer who was doing it for MANY years. Really disappointed with my last visit, I love coming to this pet shop because they have holistic and natural snacks for my dog and is always clean, this time when I went in they have a bath and body works candle burning, the whole place smelled like the chemical fragrance and the things I bought for my dog smell like it too, I keep those things out of my life because of how toxic they are to animals and people. This store has such a huge selection of the cutest styles, and the most fashionable accessories, clothes, and outerwear for your dog or puppy. The only difficult part about the store it was deciding what to buy because they were so many amazing options. They had collars leashes outfits that were all coordinated, and I literally spent more time in there than I word shopping for my own clothes and accessories. The staff was very helpful and got a kick out of my friend and me trying on outfits on our little dogs. It was the morning of July 4 and I needed some stuff for my dog. I like to shop local so I went to the community pet store. Like most businesses there's a sign on the store front which talks about COVID-19...and wearing a mask upon entering. As I always do. I entered with a mask on my face. There was a young guy with curly hair behind the counter (not sure if he owns it or not) who was NOT wearing a mask. So I said "you have a sign in the door to wear a mask upon entering why aren't you wearing one?" He answered with most bizarre response for a retail store "I wasn't expecting anybody" (why be open then and if you are, do what you're supposed to do for the safely of your customers) I proceeded to turn and walk out. I took a few steps toward Value Drug when he proceeded to walk out of the store and call me a "dick" I think he actually said "you know you're a real dick!" I was a bit stunned. I said something like you have a sign do what your sign says. There was a guy (who was holding his mask in his hand) who heard him yell at me and he asked me what happen, so I told him and he said to me " I'll never shop there again, he's the dick". Bought a designer collar for my dog. Broke in a week. Went back to get another one. They don't accept returns otr exchanges. They are made of the cheapest plastic. Just felll off his next while walking. Used as just a designer collar. He has a harness so no pressure was used. Petsmart takes back everything. Limited supplies for large dogs. Hi, I am the former groomer for 19 years at the store that Larry & Tori took over the beginning of 2021. They made a surprise demand on me on an already busy day. When I couldn't meet their demand they proceeded to scream and curse at me and tell me to "pack my sh@t and get the f@ck out" and as the two of them left the store, they both were screaming "f@cking bitch" 5-6 times at the top of their lungs. These two have a habit of screaming at each other in public, but I was shocked that they treated me this way after 19 years. Love that they do photos with santa every year for donations to a rescue. My only gripe is that it's run sort of unprofessionally- I tried to buy a coat for my dog this past weekend and it had no price tag. I even sent another groomer (whom I made an appt. w/for my other dog) this link and she was appalled & disgusted at both the pictures and this business's response. -- My appointment was made TWO WEEKS in advance with Mike, the co-owner. We had a very nice 10-minute chat about how I was new to the neighborhood, whether I should fax/scan & email Dami's paperwork in advance, etc. FURTHERMORE, I called on TUESDAY (and again, spoke to Mike) and asked if they had vacancies on Friday since I had just found out that my employer was giving us a bonus day off for the holiday weekend. He checked & politely said "No, but should we still call you later in the week to confirm Sat. or this enough of a reminder for you?" That doesn't sound very last-minute. And when people do book a last-minute appt., does that give a company the right to treat that client like dirt? -- Second, I explained to Mike that my pup gets very nervous/anxious and asked about the turn-around time. HE is the one who explained to me that I could probably pick my pup up within three hours. I didn't pick that time out from the sky. HAD HE SAID, "I can't promise a hard pick-up time..." I would have thanked him and continued to "shop around". In the 13 years I've had dogs, I have NEVER left my babies with a groomer for an indeterminate amount of time. Why would I start now unless I got a reply that I was comfortable with? I was told that the THREE HOURS couldn't happen UPON MY ARRIVAL; not when I made my appointment. BIG DIFFERENCE. And you're darn right I expressed "I'm not happy." You tell a customer on the phone one thing and another upon their appt. - what do you expect? We're talking about my dog's well being - I have a right to be upset. -- The "eye gook" comment is interesting... that has NEVER happened in (again) 13 years of grooming nor has it happened to any friends/family's dogs. I bring him in for a bath and a cleaning and a cut and "eye gook" is MY fault. Very interesting to blame the client. -- The redness inside of my pup's thighs were THERE? You have got to be kidding me. ANYONE WITH EYES CAN SEE HOW there is barely any hair next to his inner thighs - don't tell me that was with a SCISSOR. -- NO ONE asked me to if I wanted to speak to the groomer. Absolutely not. The female behind the counter and I talked about the weather before Damien was brought out because it was an unusually hot day, but that was the extent of our conversation. As he was when I dropped Dami off, the male behind the counter offered NO HELP at all. -- The only part of this response that is accurate is the part about the ears. I asked specifically for "Long Ears + Short Face". I EVEN LEFT A PHOTO with Amy so she could mimic that look. We even joked that his big "Yoda Ears" were his trademark. I got back a dog with SHORT EARS and a LONG FACE. And again... I have no right to express my disappointment when I get the opposite of what I requested? Next time, I'll keep my mouth shut when I order coffee and the barista gives me tea! -- This owner had the gall to "admonish" me for posting my YELP review before reaching out to him when (a.) I was blatantly told he was unavailable due to surgery; and (b.) I gave ANYONE from COMMUNITY 3 days to respond. Most clients would have been typing a review from their mobile on the way home! P.S. --- the owner emailed me last week saying he'd call me to follow up and he just went ahead and posted HIS comment without talking it out with me. Hmmm.... To my neighbors... look at the photos - these were taken directly AFTER the grooming and I can promise you from now until eternity that my dog looked nothing like this beforehand, nor has he ever looked like this after ANY grooming ever. I've washed my hands off of COMMUNITY and I see that over 50 people have viewed these photos and I hope more will continue to do so. No customer - or pet - deserves this treatment. read more

About a month ago, my mother brought our family's Bernedoodle to get a groom. When she went to pick up the puppy he was shaved. He has gone to these groomers here before and we have always been clear on how to groom him-this time was no different. When the mom was picked up, my mom was in tears. The cute fluffy dog we love looked so different. Not only was no refund given but he had to go to the vet due to cuts from the groom. An additional expense. I had a horrible experience at this pet store so buyer beware!! I spent $179 in the store this past Saturday and one item I purchased was a yak chew the owner had recommended. They're flaxseed and were sold individually and very expense - $20/piece. She said her dogs loved them and they lasted forever. I have 3 dogs so I bought 3, not 1 of my 3 dogs would touch this thing. Great recommendation lol. They each chewed on it for a few minutes they had zero interest and never went back. Unfortunately believing what I was told I discarded the package. I tried to exchange them today for something my dogs would use and perhaps they planned on reselling slightly chewed on bones because while I had my receipt they wouldn't provide me with an exchange. Posh store, high prices, crappy customer service. I live 2 minutes away from them and am soooo disappointed. Buyer beware!! Don't listen to their recommendations either read more

Great little shop. Its no Petsmart, but thats what makes it great. You pay a little more , but i think the service is great. They don't have salt water fish, but sell some fresh water fish and the typical pets( Bunnys, mice, hamsters, snakes.etc.. . Plus the store is in the village so you don't have to travel far - this is great if you need some last minute supplies and want to support the local store. read more
