Sunday service is always nice, but I can't help wondering if this church is in friendly competition with the one next door--it's been growing like crazy and even added a café and coffee shop, which is pretty cool! I don't make it every single Sunday like I used to, but I'm working on getting back into the routine. Even when I'm not in the building, I tune into the podcast--so technically, I'm still there! There's plenty of onsite parking and lots of programs to get involved in. The atmosphere is super friendly and welcoming, but what I love most is the diversity of the congregation. I've been attending Compass church for a while now, and it's truly felt like home. I actually started going to The Bridge back in junior high, and now my mom and stepdad volunteer here--so naturally, I've become more involved over time. The community is always welcoming, and everything is well-organized. Pastor Brian is incredible--his messages are always meaningful and impactful. I have been attending Compass for almost a year now. When I first walked in people were so welcoming, and genuine. I have a little girl and she went right into the nursery, they are so friendly, and love her. When looking for a new church I really wanted a place we could go as a family, and feel a part of, and Compass is this! We go in and everyone not only says hi to us, but to our little girl too. Honestly the best church out there. Pastor Brian is by far one of the best speakers on message that you will ever find. We've been going to many churches because of traveling, and this one is our favorite by far. It's been around for 100 years and there's a reason for that. This is a great church, we came from Saddleback in SoCal and it has a similar vibe. The only couple of things in our opinion that could improve is that the pastor tends to repeat and repeat and drag the service too long. We have been leaving early lately because it feels like the message is being drilled into our brain, you only need to say it once or twice. The sermon could literally take 20-30 minutes plus 2 songs before and 1 song after to worship. No need to make it so long! Otherwise, we love Pastor Matt, and Pastor Brian is also good but with his type of voice which is a little higher pitched, I would slow it down a bit and cut it down 20-30%. That would make it perfect! It also does feel a little like an infomercial since every single time they begin with the same dollar club message, the sob story about a family that needs money and how they all get $3k (give or take a few bucks). It's wonderful if it's true that they get this help, but that could also be cut short. I feel like I am literally watching a commercial. Sorry, but thank you! read more

1st time going. Went to the Saturday Night Service at 6pm. People are very friendly, seats are comfy, fog machines where unnecessary, I went to worship not to see a show. Did not appreciate getting blinded by the lights pointing at congregation during the whole worship service. Like the Dollar Club. Next to water there is a donation box. For a Women's Night Conference you HAVE to pay $30.00. For VBS you HAVE to pay 5 bucks to drop off your child. What happened to where God guides God provides? I NEVER heard of a church charging for VBS. What happened to Matt 10:42 anyone who gives water to little one's who is my disciple shall not lose their reward. That verse can be for VBS and the water donation box, where I saw an 8 year old girl put a $1.00 in for water next to the playground. For the Women's Conference guest speaker Hosanna Poetry is a Pastor. I guess they haven't read 1 Tim 2 where women are not to be Pastors. It's a feel good church. Pastor was not boring, but did not read from bible he only read 2 verses from his notes. I was surprised by how many people came to church without their bible. It's a nice church but not for me, I prefer the whole bible be taught and not having to be a member and I prefer to go to a church who spreads God's word for free. So I'm going to use my compass to lead me to a humble church. read more

I began attending this church in 1969 when it was Chandler Christian Church. It was an excellent church. It is "woke" now. My wife and I entered one Sunday to hear "Stairway to Heaven" being strummed on the guitar. They are now a church that is a "feel good" church, more concerned with gaining numbers than saving souls. read more

Great Bible based church ! Staff and campus are always inviting. Great Programs for all ages and all walks of life. Join them in Chandler or the Casa Grande campuses or join one of the many other programs offered Spanish services at Bridge , Prison ministry , Celebrate Recovery or Helping Hands Homeless ministry to name a few . This is now about 1.5 yrs after my prior review and we really LOVE Compass so much. We are now on two campuses - Chandler and Casa Grande. The main leadership is the same with Pastor Brian Jobe as the Senior Pastor and a bunch of other pastors that support him, as well as a fantastic support staff. I've been a part of the Women's Ministry now for 2.5 years and absolutely LOVE it! I have grown so much in my walk with God, my marriage, parenting, as a woman of God. Granted, I still have a LONG way to go and would not classify myself as the model godly Christian woman, but I'm daily seeking God and working on this with the help of the Holy Spirit and from others in the church. Everything I wrote about in my prior reviews on this church still holds true and I've found out how genuine people are, that this, those who commit to really wanting to grow in their walk with God. There will always be fly-by-night people who are just out church shopping or just looking for the "Feel Good" church. If that is the church you are looking for, this probably wouldn't be the best fit for you as this is a church that wants to see its members grow in their walk with God, love Jesus more and more, love people, share Jesus with the world. Though I've been in church all my life, it took until nearly 3 yrs ago that when we made the decision to leave the church we had been in and I loved, to really dig deeper. And, it really wasn't until the leader of my Women's Bible study shared something real in her life that it just really spoke to my heart and really moved me to challenge myself to do something I'd never done and thought my time wouldn't allow it. But I committed to God that I would just give these 10 minutes every morning every day for the next year to see what God would do. My Quiet Time is always first thing, but instead of being just a quick 10 minutes, now it spans actually throughout most of the day, but beginning first thing. I had been using the YouVersion Bible app on my phone, but not real consistently before last Nov'`17. Now I'm reading my Bible throughout the day many days and collaborating with Christians around the world as we study God's Word and sharing what God is doing in our lives. Both my children have joined in, more so my 15-yr old son, as we challenge each other. Though my daughter now goes to a different church because she started college, she is getting active in her church and going deeper. My husband also about a year after I committed to writing daily Scripture, he accepted Christ as his Savior so now my whole immediate family knows Jesus as their Savior. I'm getting more excited daily about my walk with God (it's been a 43 yr journey so far) and excited to see what God is going to as we walk in obedience to Him. I regularly serve behind the scenes in one particular area, but looking to expand into other areas as God leads. If you want to not only hear the Word of God preached, but see the leadership and its members serving God, loving their Community, practicing the Word of God, loving people and Jesus, give Compass a try. It certainly feels like a small church to me with such loving, caring people. Remember no church is perfect. read more

A very welcoming group of parishioners ensured that I knew where to go and that I did not feel weird in their world. I just came to get my praise on and to fellowship and hear God's Word. I am a huge fan of any church that will give me a Saturday evening option, and trust me... I took advantage of that option. I filled out the visitor's card and got immediate calls and emails regarding upcoming events and how to get connected in this environment. I even got a personal call from Pastor Roger Storms. I enjoy a contemporary service with newer praise and worship stylings and this 5 pm service on Saturdays has that. If you like the more traditional service, there is one at 8am on Sundays. And there are a few other services to cater to the needs of many. I have to say that I am impressed and even when this place is about 20 miles from me, I will return...and perhaps make this my new family... read more

I've been attending Compass Christian Church (formerly Chandler Christian Church) for a few years. When Pastor Roger Storms retired I was sad to see him go but Pastor Brian Jobe has done a terrific job stepping in. I find his sermons challenging and convicting. The teachings are all biblical. The children's ministry is excellent. Every week my son has learned something new and he looks forward to going. This year he got to do VBS and he had a blast and memorized Romans 5:8. Everybody is super friendly here. The church is very welcome to everybody. They have plenty of great events and ways to get involved. We usually attend church on the Saturday night service at 5 because it is much easier for us to get there on time. I suggest attending it a few times (not just once) to see if this is a church you can call home. read more

There is now a Business Church, "COMPASS" and one thing I can say is this, when you arrive there, there will be a greeter somewhere nearby and he or she will say HI to you. However, where in the Bible is that? You can walk right in and NEVER get noticed, (other than the greeter). I have come to this church many times and even tried to join a group and was told no one has the Christian character to help, that their sorry about this so, "See you later". I had watch sermons all the way throw wow, ok, he was hitting on somethings but there was NO prophetic VOICE How are we to know for SURE that God really said these things or? Then when I moved around and asked if anyone heard something other than the usual Bable I got a lot of confused looks. Well, if you are looking for the Lord and want to go deeper, and your not a thief like Judis, REPENT, go into your closet find Him With all your Heart, and start something. read more

We've been in the market looking for a church for the family to start attending. Chandler Christian seemed to be a nice offering since they are located fairly close to the house and have a decent size to offer something for each group (parents & children). I've gotten some good reviews from a family that I know that attends. I LOVE that they have a service on Saturday, as that is ALWAYS a plus for me. The sermon for today was an interesting one, and it seemed to be relevant and on topic for today. The pastor took an updated slant to the story to make it a bit more relevant to today's time. My husband was even laughing at the pastor's jokes. My mother-in-law even commented on how she liked the music. I did notice that the verses that they pulled up were not the verses that I remember. I believe it's due to them using a different version. All of this being said, the service seemed to be a good one. The signage indicated that this was non-denomination; however, the service reminded me one Baptist services from childhood. read more

I love this church so much that even though I moved to North Glendale, I still drive all the way to Chnadler to serve and worship. Pastor Brian is really kind, compassionate and very approachable. Compass has made me and my boyfriend feel like home every single time we enter the campus. We're always greeted with warm welcomes and greetings accompanied with genuine smiles. The pastors have preached sermons with messages that have personally saved my life. We were blessed to have participated the Love Your Neighbor event where we joined together and volunteered in many different places. My son and I have been attending here since early August 2017. We absolutely love the welcoming feeling each time we come here. My little just turned 3 and truly looks forward to coming each weekend. 2017 name update to Compass Christian Church. They have campuses in Chandler and Casa Grande. Pastor Storms has retired but he and Nancy are still around. The new Senior Pastor Brian Job has a unique style all his own. Multiple services including Spanish. Variety of small groups including Celebrate Recovery, Moms of Pre-Scholars, Empty Nesters, Bible studied, etc they also have live streaming in case you can't attend in person. They have a lovely Women's Ministry that hosts events throughout the year as well as Men's Ministry to get connected. What originally attracted me was the wonderful children's Ministry. There's activities for all age groups including Jr & Sr High activities at free Rex center called The Bridge. The Bridge has free family day on Saturday 9-5 with a great little coffee shop and grill nominally priced food! Really it's awesome with free skate park, rock wall, inside basketball court, etc. I think it's fair to call out that people are flawed, so if something doesn't go exactly how you thought it would talk to the church office. They really do care and are very kind & compassionate. Christ followers have the same hurts, hang ups, and habits as anyone else! They just come together to try to overcome. I say this because some folks think you have to be perfect to go to church (nobody is perfect) or that everyone at a church is perfect (the biggest misconception or expectation since nobody is perfect). My family have been members for 15 years so I can truthfully say my feelings have been hurt a time or two, but I'm sure I've hurt someone's feelings unintentionally as well. This human thing is rough but we can make the journey more pleasant together read more

If you are looking are looking for a church that is bible-based, vibrant and alive with God's love, this is the place. The people are so friendly, the messages are great, uplifting and inspiring and the Pastors are amazing. Very active in the community and many programs for growing families but also for any age. I found this church pretty much by looking for someplace with Saturday evening services and found Compass. I drive 25 miles to get here and it is worth every mile. My family and I enjoy being members of Chandler Christian Church because of the teachings from the Word of God but also for the opportunities to serve others in the church body and our surrounding community as well as different parts of the world. The children's ministry is a top notch group of God's servants who love on the kids and impart on them God's Word while encouraging them to walk out their own salvation. My father introduced this church to me a few months ago, he met a group of the members at a nearby park that offers lunch meals and necessities for the homeless. Great Church! The leadership is solid Christ-based teaching and organizational structure. Services are inspiring and challenge the believer to grow in Christian maturity. By far my favorite church to attend services. I have noticed the welcome feeling for new members learning about God from those within the church whom are more experienced. All of the pastors, leaders, volunteers and members are very welcoming and down to earth. They offer a very expansive and clean campus centrally located in Chandler and also just expanded services to Casa Grande. The campus has a general store, low priced (or pay It forward) food bar ran by volunteers and a coffee bar at the bridge building which also hosts a skate park. When searching for a church, we wanted one that was community focused and we found it. This campus offers tons of personal building classes through the week to help members in everyday life and is always open to encourage amd promote personal growth. Weekly classes to help marriage, boundaries, bible study, peraonal growth, mens studies, women's studies, family help, financial peace university, etc. This place of worship really has it together, I'm glad to be a member! read more

If you are looking for a church that is welcoming, offers lots of opportunities to serve and worship, come on over. Saturday night service at 5pm and 3 on Sunday, 8:15; 9:45; and 11:15. There is also a Hispanic service on campus at 11 am. THE BRIDGE is a destination facility designed for Youth (Jr Hi & High School) and offers a safe place to meet friends, enjoy basketball, skateboarding, AT NO COST.
