Next diagnosis was a head gasket repair with over $100. per. bolt quoted to us by this Ann Arbor shop. (Need 10) and a $3400 price tag quoted for repair. WHO CARES if ANY shop guarantees their parts if the parts are part of overpricing repairs, as well as misdiagnosis. The car was listed FOR SALE because of such a high repair price tag. We did research for a second opinion. We found Datsun Doctor thru referral (7 phone calls to local shops) & paid to have it towed. Their repair was under $1K and they redid the work of the other shop. No head gasket repair needed. It does NOT overheat. The local shop also used aftermarket cheaper parts and charged more than for them than OEM parts. They claimed the timing belt was OEM. It was not. Buyer beware! Datsun saved the day and knew my car and what was wrong, for real. We've driven it for over 2 hours and it is once again running well. Well worth investing your trust in this shop. Elsewhere, be careful!
