And verify that the problems that are said by one place are said by other reputable places. Yes, a 10 day old apple on the counter tastes fresh when all you been given were rotten ones. My reason for the 2 star review is due to an AC issue with my vehicle. I brought it in at the end of June because there was no AC - it was leaking somewhere. I let them know when I recharge it myself it will last for 2 to 3 weeks, then it blows warm air again. They inform me the wrong Freon was put in the system (I put the correct one in, but I am guessing the person before us did not as it was purchased in January of this year). I go ahead and pay the $500 to have it drained, recharged and pressure tested - no leaks or issues found - good to go. Until this past weekend. The AC went out again (less than 3 weeks after it was filled). I take it back in and let them know it's blowing warm air again. They take a look at it and they say it's low on Freon and it would be another $480 to refill it for them to pressure test it and find the issue -- even though we just did that at the end of June. No thanks.

If you have ever had the immobilizer…read moreprevent you from starting your car, you know there are many "hacks" on the internet, one of them being disconnecting the battery to reset the electronics. When I reconnected the battery, I didn't tighten the terminals properly, so just as I parked my car at the dealership, the battery died. I left 2 separate messages to 2 separate mechanics AND told in person a service rep, that the battery was drained but all it needed was to be tightened and recharged. The dealer "tested" the battery, confirmed it was "dead" (duh), and proceeded to tell me I needed a new battery (for almost $400) and a diagnostics (for nearly $200). Knowing perfectly well what the issue was, I refused and had my car towed to Steve's instead (I have AAA) where Shaun and Jordan simply left a trickle-charger connected over the weekend and now the car runs just fine. And I was charged nothing! What a class act! I will never go to a VW dealer again, ESPECIALLY not VW of Ann Arbor. If you have a European car, just go to Steve's and save yourself from being robbed by a stealership.
