I have used their services twice now and couldn't be happier with the staff! I take care of a small child during the day, so waiting for a long period of time can be trying on both of us (plus anyone waiting in the office with us). My most recent experience was yesterday ~ I needed my headlight bulb replaced. I called for a price (using my part) and was told to come in at my convenience. It turned out the part I had purchased was not the correct part but they had one in stock for a better price than I had paid. I was in & out in 15 minutes!! I was not looking forward to getting my smog check because you never know how you'll be treated when going to a car service place. When I called to check the price they were very nice and offered to get me an appointment the same day. I made the appointment for the same day and was in and out within 25 minutes of my appointment time. I was almost waiting for a sales pitch at the end ("You need this and that..."), but nope...just a friendly conversation and I was on my way. I will now come here (or at least check prices here first) for any car maintenance/repairs I may need. read more

I have been going for about two years for service on my Honda and when I first found the place, there was a nice lady that was always friendly and even offered me a military discount (which they don't do). I haven't seen her for awhile, but have had two experiences with Lou. I take my car in for oil changes/basic service and 16 months ago they put on my new front brakes. Needless to say, 16 months later they were squeeking and I just had them checked while I was there for an oil change. I had to talk to Lou to ask him not to charge me the $30 for a brake inspection. You would think it would have been complimentary since they did the brakes! Lou said the brakes were "glazed" and after talking the owner/manager? they replaced them for being under warrantee. He also said that he would rather talk to my husband about the issue since he is a male! (seriously, I am 44 years old with a master's degree, I think I can handle what he is trying to explain to me). I have never heard that in my life before! Another issue I had was that I told Lou I didn't have time to do the brakes while they had my car for an oil change. I came back a few days later and told him I would be there at 9:15am (after my preschool drop-off). I arrived at 9:35 and he said he wasn't sure they could get the brakes done by 1pm (preschool pick-up time was 1:15) because I came in late and he took two oil changes. He might need the car the entire day.......what??? He literally called me 2 hours later to say the car was done. While I was waiting I was totally stressed out trying to figure out options on how to get my child picked up if I was stuck there. He needs some work in the customer service department. Just went back this weekend for a bulb replacement and also had another good experience. Went in for a smog check a couple weeks ago and failed the test, which I knew was coming since I was aware I needed a new catalytic converter. Got bad vibes from Evan right away, as he kept interrupting me when I was trying to explain the repair history of my car. He insisted he needed to do a $180 diagnostic test before replacing the cat so I finally agreed and left my car at the shop. I get a call that evening saying that it was indeed the cat that needs to be replaced, and that it'll cost me $1,010 for that service for my 1998 honda civic. I laughed. It gets better though, then he informs me that my car "coincidentally" died on them and isn't drivable, which will be an additional $120 for the ignition coil and that they will comp the labor for that. After about 5 minutes of me expressing my dissatisfaction with that solution, he finally agreed to comp the part, which is what he should have done INITIALLY. I told him that I know most places only charge $500 for a new cat and he called me back with a new estimate of $580. Interesting how the price dropped $500 dollars within 10 minutes? I took this offer and ended of paying a little over $800 total with smog test and diagnostics. If I had more time to get the issue taken care of I definitely would have gone somewhere else. I was very disappointed because I had read so many positive reviews about this company. The only reason I am giving this a 2 star is because of the woman that works the front desk and her excellent customer service. read more

I do my best to try and be objective when trying to rate a business; however, I really do believe that Complete Car Care deserves every single star for the exceptional care that they provided me. I live in San Diego and only pass by Carlsbad for family, but I am willing to make the extra journey up here for all my vehicle services in the future. Easily the best place I've ever visited! Besides the masterful, professional, and efficient service, their staff feels genuinely authentic in assisting you with any vehicle problem They never feel like they are out to simply take your cash and upsell you on services you don't really need. They are very fair and explain everything for what you are paying for and will do what they can to accommodate you. "Guest-friendly" is a fair term to use as they have a shuttle service that will provide you transportation while they work on your car!I had my brakes completely redone but man did I get my car back quickly! It's nice not fearing for my life when I'm behind the wheel now haha. Big shout out to Lou for helping me out with my car diagnostic too and providing additional advice on the car. And my manners failed me but thank you so much for the nice woman who was my shuttle driver both back home and to the shop. I have been going to this place since 2001. In 17 plus years they have never disappointed me. Always truthful about work they do and recommendations that my cars needs to prevent bigger problems. They are willing to drop me off and pick me up while my cars are worked on. Today I brought my car in and they diagnosed a transmission problem (which was still under warranty with Aamco) and didn't even charge me. Lou always takes care of me and knows me by name. Spending money on fixing my car sucks but I know I am in good hands with them. They are always busy so they don't waste time on doing work that your car doesn't need. read more
