Prices are drastically different, and customer service is condescending and often opportunistic with silly "inspection fees." Then there are the complete rip-offs that lack diagnostic abilities and should not be in business. I spoke with Jesse, who is honest, knows his business well, and doesn't need to resort to price gouging or surprise inspection fees. They repaired the car quickly and consulted with me before costing me a penny. Jesse gave me reasonable options and stood by his quote. He gave me an excellent detailed quote for repairs I will also need in the future. I'll never take my car to any other shop in West Texas.

I watched the employees of Kelly's Auto Shop for a week, and they were absolutely always the pinnacle of professional and kind. Bryon is an extremely knowledgeable expert in auto repair, and could diagnose problems immediately and have them fixed in quick order. Kyle is a by-the-book perfectionist who treated every vehicle as if it was his own. He's young and smart, and a fantastic person. Kelly (the owner) is a great "old style" mechanic. He's worked on every kind of vehicle and seen every type of problem. He's well versed in cars and also isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and fix something when it needs fixing. We ended up taking our car to the dealership instead to see what was going on with it afterwards, turns out the fuel pump that was put in was aftermarket & shitty ... the wiring was also put in incorrectly for the fuel pump. I watched them take my engines cover off to see the bolts come right off which could've caused more damage to my car by not being put back in properly. We asked if he could take the fuel pump back that he gave us & he continued to argue with us about it instead. Said the fuel pump had a warranty & we still have the old one to this day. I wouldn't waste any $ here as no one is considerate or know how to treat customers. Spent thousands here for my car just to get denied any refunds. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I came in specifically seeking further diagnosis to understand what was actually causing the code. Instead, they simply hooked up their own code reader, told me the exact same code I had already reported to them, and then recommended a full engine replacement for around $15,000. I was charged $250 for information I had already provided when I walked in. When I asked about deeper diagnostic work -- the kind I believed the diagnostic fee was supposed to cover -- I was told that would cost even more. I was under the impression that a diagnostic charge meant they would actually diagnose the problem, not just read a code and upsell a major repair. I got a second opinion from a reputable local businessman who actually took the time to diagnose the real issue. He is repairing the problem for about $5,000 -- far from the $15,000 engine replacement Ric Henry Auto claimed was necessary. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any work here.

I waited about 30 minutes in the Waiting Room after paying for my bulb, but was very happy to learn my vehicle was ready. While I have read the previous reviews, I am glad to report my experience was everything that I have come to expect of Toyota after having owned one for almost 20 years. I asked WHO he was, to which she at first sounded reluctant to give his name - then after asking again - she said it was "Sean". I asked her to please ask him to call me - she said she would give him the message. Today is Friday, May 20th, and NO call has come from "Sean" - the GM! As a business owner for many years, I am amazed how businesses like this are still in business! Is it ONLY about selling new vehicles (but then) they even suck at that! I went to them over a year ago looking at trading my 2018 GMC with very low mileage, and buying a Toyota Tacoma (I ended up buying a BRAND NEW one from Brunner Toyota in Brownwood - which means they lost that deal) - I was told by the "salesman" that he cannot give me a price on my GMC and that he needs to speak to his manager and that they will get back to me! It has been over a year, and I still have not received that call! Bet you IF I ran my business like this, I would not be in business, let alone employ people who do not know HOW to speak to potential customers! I was in Houston for two months getting treated for cancer at MD Anderson. While there I noticed…read morethat my F250 was leaking oil under the front of the engine. I had a hard time finding a mechanic shop that would work on Diesels in Houston (Just another reason I HATE Houston) but finally found one that would look at it. They had it for five days before looking at it, and finally determined that the vacuum pump was leaking oil. They wanted almost $1500 to fix it, but couldn't get to it right away. Then Hurricane Beryl struck. After that, no mechanic in town would touch it because they were all at least a week behind schedule. I figured the truck would make it to San Angelo, which was my first stop on my way home to Colorado after my treatment was over, so I began to look into diesel mechanics in San Angelo and I found Kenner's. I called them over a week out and made an appointment for a Monday. The weekend before, we limped the truck to San Angelo pulling an RV, and stopping every 100 miles or so to top off the oil. I took it into Kenner's at 7:30 on a Monday and they called me first thing on Tuesday morning to say that it was done. They said the vacuum pump was fine, but the gasket was leaking oil. Since they had to remove the vacuum pump to replace the gasket, they went ahead and replaced the 120k mile vacuum pump with a new one, which is the right thing to do. They also power washed the engine to make sure that it wasn't leaking from anywhere else, and then drove it a bit to make sure it was fixed. The service was completed in a day, and was $500 less than the slowpoke mechanic in Houston quoted and that included a full oil change with Shell Rotella T6! We were able to leave San Angelo and head on back to Colorado that Tuesday which also saved us on hotel costs. Overall I can't say enough nice things about the people at Kenner's. If I lived in San Angelo, I would have found my lifetime mechanic. If you live in San Angelo, stop looking; You've found your trustworthy, lifetime mechanic. Oh... and my cancer treatment went great. I have lots of years ahead of me to nag my wife and kids. One other thing. Yelp has two more reviews on Kenner's that are "not recommended" for some reason. Those are also 5-star reviews. How often is it that you find ANYONE who has 100% 5-star reviews on Yelp?!?

We told the Valvoline people that and they tried to make us replace it with them. Said no. They put it back, but the second we get on the highway this piece starts dragging on the ground!!!
