Careful to make sure you get one in the restaurant - or we always ask the bartenders - delightful folks! - do you know how to make the Mission Inn Margarita - the other restaurants don't know how to make one tho it SHOULD be a standard for all restaurants since is their signature cocktail. The Spa - definitely ups and downs through the years. Realize they are working within a set space. Various rooms are very nice - the waiting rooms, many of the treatment rooms and delightful welcoming staff. The dressing room is a disaster - barely as large as an on suite bathroom. You MUST make sure you wear your shower sandals into the showers - the shower walls never dry and are slimy to the touch and the shower faucets need instructions mounted to the walls - the entire place is overwhelming with Eucalyptus aroma. If you have two of more people in the dressing area - it is a crowd. The staff is doing their best and they are wonderful - truly. What would work to their advantage? The new owners need to claim some of the space the from the now closed Museum store and knock out walls and do a full remodel of the spa area. Their prices have also increased dramatically since last year and with our many yearly visits to the Inn, for this year's stay, my daughter and I will go elsewhere for a spa day and enjoy the Inn for their rooms and restaurants. I think it should be complimentary for hotel guests but I guess one time pay is ok ($120 for 4 of us.) The tour was about 45 minutes and it had free champagne and apple cider at the end. The tour guide team was very nice and friendly. They made the tour fun and entertaining :)
