Made an appointment for 1pm Got there early in case I needed to fill out additional new patient paperwork. I waited almost an hour before I was called back. Nurses were great once I saw them but the doctor was dismissive about my care and treated me horribly. I have never experienced this type of care where I was basically punished for being in waiting room, brought paperwork with me and was dismissed by doctor and said he couldn't help me. Very disappointed in this practice especially since I did everything I was supposed too and arrived early only to be told by staff they don't get back from lunch until 115pm or so. I had Dr. Mizrach for 20 years. He was nice. I had to see Dr. Powers for injections and he is without a doubt a monster! I left the practice because of him. By the time I left I was diagnosed with Lupus, Graves disease and heart disease. I have had 2 heart attacks. They missed all these problems. Thank God I have great doctors now. My mom had a significant heart disease that he didn know and not once that he referred her to a cardiologist. I must say I hate complete care when they changed over its horrible all the old staff was gone when I went in last year sometime I was upset and I do believe it was due to the changing of the companies. I started seeing Dr White many years ago he is and was the best, Dr Ash is a sweetie my Pops and mom sees him . that other Doc no words can describe him he needs to fix is face and dismeanor never a smile always looks mad at the world I went to him one time years ago and I said never again, I chose to see Dr Mizrah and I must say I like him alot. he is straight up with you and that's how I am he's a wonderful warm attentive Doc and he listens and give you his full attention and what he thinks I love that about him he's comical I love that as well and he has always diagnosed me 100 and I always get better and feel better. I have been going to Glenside Medical for about 10 years. Dr. Mizack was always full of knowledge and advice. I went to him on Monday 6/17/24,he didn't even remember me because he said he didn't have his notes and the system has changed! I even told him things he said in the past to jar his memory! Then I get my test results, though the portal. Noone called me (like before, within 24 hours) to explain the results . I called the local # to speak to a nurse about the results, it went to a call center in Alabama! How is this complete Healthcare! It's horrible! read more

I've been coming to Glenside Medical with my Mom for decades! It's in the shopping center near Wendy's on Glenside and Staples Mill. Some of the doctors are by appointment only and some accept walk-ins. Once you sign in, one of the nurses will check you in. They always ask what you are there for and take details notes. Tamika at the front desk is a gem! She's so helpful and sweet. We love her! The facility itself is a bit dated, but it's always clean. There's seldom a long wait. The room to get your vitals is small, it should accommodate 2 patients comfortably, but it's tight in there! If you are blessed enough to have Shawn to help you, you'll be pleased as she is so understanding and upbeat! She is diligent in going over your records and updating any prescription changes. You are then shown to an examination room. There's not much to look at while you wait, they could use a spruce. Dr. Mizrach has been my mom's doctor for years, and I have also seen him on occasion. We love his professionalism and warmth. He has a great, humorous bedside manner and a no nonsense approach to care giving. He doesn't sugar coat his diagnosis but delivers his advice with a fatherly tone. Dr. White is also top notch. He's has a gentle, cautious approach to medicine and has been instrumental in aiding us several times when Dr. Mizrach was unavailable. The lab nurses are fabulous. We love Donna and Debra. Donna draws my mom's blood, and she is a pro. She never has to prick her twice. Plus she is positive and personable. Check out is a breeze, there are wheel chairs near the exit should you need assistance. They have always been helpful with our insurance and prescription questions and requests. No one likes going to the doctor, but here at Glenside Medical, a necessary evil is nothing but good vibes! I trust them implicitly! read more

Horrible medical service and billing experience that I went through recently at Glenside Medical Associates, LLC. (Doctor Kevin Power) With the new year and a new health coverage from Aetna, I decided to pay a visit for my first annual checkup at Complete Health. Before the visit, I scheduled with the medical office to confirm with the secretary whether it would accept my medical insurance of Aetna. I came to the doctor office to give them my health insurance card for them to check. They said, they would accept my health insurance card and it was in network. Two weeks later, I went to see the doctor, the nurse took my measurement of heartbeat, weight, and height. Then Doctor Kevin came in to talk to me for literally 5 MINUTES; sent me to another room to draw some blood for analysis. Then suddenly, 2 weeks later I received many text messages, it must had been many times demanding payments at random hours and days. I came to the office and spoke to the secretary that I must pay the bill since it was out of network. They apologized me for what happened. I wrote 2 letters to request to stop sending me texts because these harassing messages caused interference with my job, sleep, etc. I blocked one number, but different ones kept pop up. Moreover, they kept sending me bill to my home address demanding payment. It is not just the amount of the money; it is the principle from the office that tricks its patients from saying it is IN-NETWORK but charged the patients claiming OUT-OF-NETWORK. Complete Health and Doctor Kevin are luring in new patients so they would said they are IN NETWORK of most of the insurance, but in reality is to attract more customers and bill them their fees. I hope Doctor Kevin Power and his office at Glenside Medical Associates would read this review from a very sad waitress's first ever annual check up visit. read more

I was there a few days ago for my yearly checkup. This medical facility did not transfer any medical history from the previous Glenside Medical. I understand that their records were all on paper, but I do think the time could have been taken to have a system for someone to enter previous information from at least a year for long time patients. I have been a patient of Dr Mizrach for over 12 years and I know he see hundreds of patients so he cannot remember everything about their medical history without a reference guide of some history. I had to contact the office twice about my prescriptions being wrong when they were prescribed and the pharmacy had to finally call the office to get them straight from their previous records. Dr Mizrach is a wonderful doctor. I have had him as my doctor for many,many years. This should have never been an issue. Patients health is at stake here. We should not have to check every prescription or call to get the right one. I brought my brother who is in a wheelchair for an appointment with Dr Powers on Wednesday the 23rd of October. When we arrived for his appointment and got to the front doors I noticed 3 front desk employees standing at the front counter playing with their phones and laughing yet not one of them offered to come hold the door or assist me with getting him in the office. I then had the disappointing experience of dealing with the tech that triaged him, she was absolutely the most disengaged and sour assistant I have dealt with. She did the vitals did an eye roll and then left him in the triage area for me to push him down the hall. Finally we saw Dr. Powers who was really really good. Dr. Powers listened to my brother and I. He answered all of our questions, addressed my brother's problems,and let us know we're in good hands. After the appointment the front desk staff could not be bothered to check us out or see if we needed to schedule another visit.While dealing with the office staff was unimpressive, I will definitely be bringing my brother back to see Dr. Powers, it's a good feeling to know he's with a good doctor. read more

Glenside Medical is my favorite doc in the box. The doctors are all nice, and you don't have to make an appt... you just walk in. The open at 8am, take most kinds of insurance, and overall, they are the ultimate family practice- convenient, down to earth, and very business-like. Copays need to be paid up front, and when you walk in be sure to sign in in the book for the general practice... After you sign in a nurse will call you and do an intake (be sure to bring your insurance card if you have one) and then they'll call you when a doctor can see you. I would imagine that this place is great for anyone who has older children who get the random cough/cold/fungus/mono... In my case, I've gone there to get treated for a persistant cold, some weird bug bite that wouldn't go away, even anxiety. I saw Dr. White and Dr. Ashe, and they were all very professional and nice and helpful. Their waiting room is pleasant, and I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes to see a doctor. SCORE. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because they close at 5pm and aren't open weekends, and that is definitely not convenient. read more

My 83yr old grandmother was a patient of Dr. Stephen Ashe. She had concerns do to her mental health and frankly was a "frequent flyer" to his office. She passed away in April of 2022 and our family has struggled for months on how to handle this. My grandmother passed of unrelated issues to Dr. Ashe but we are very disappointed respect that she SHOULD have received from Dr. Ashe since she was a longtime patient of his. We would take my grandmother to the hospital to which they would treat the concerns and have us follow-up with the PCP (as anyone does after an ER/in-patient stay.) We feel Glenside Medical failed us and gave up. Dr. Ashe would assist the best he could till the last 2 months of her life. We struggled severely to get assistance with Hospice. Worst case scenario was hospice would have come out and said she was not ready but Dr. Ashe ultimately had that power and refused to even order it. My grandfather, my mother & myself spoke to him or his nurse Donna weekly towards the end. We chose to communicate about this now via reviews since the office has had no want to communicate or support us & we don't want another elder to go through this devastating and traumatic experience. They did not support us March 2022 to her death in April, so we're positive they wouldn't now that we are grieving properly. Donna was very negative. The very last conversation she had with my mother was horrible. Donna stated "Are you aware Hospice is not euthanasia?" days leading up to her death. Unbelievably unprofessional and unethical. My mother expressed how of course she knew that's not what hospice was, so Donna could hear how upset that insensitive comment made her feel and did not apologize. My mother called multiple times asking for them to order hospice to which Dr. Ashe would not. It was relayed to us that he felt it was not needed. My grandmother was in horrific pain those last few weeks till her death. Hospice was finally ordered The last day in March (She passed 4/7/22.) Bon Secour Hospice was unbelievably empathetic to us and the nurse practitioner with Hospice (Brian) stated that hospice should have been in place months ago to help with her pain. The NP with Bon Secour Hospice typed descriptive notes on how this case was handled and even wrote us a hand-written card apologizing for the poor ethics of her PCP. My grandparents both are very hard of hearing and with that in addition to her coming often, our family feels they did everything they could to NOT assist us at the end.. Dr. Ashe wouldn't order pain meds nor hospice so she truly suffered that last month. Our family decided to share this review as she deserved better.. Glenside Medical did not call or write to us to express sympathy. We heard from my grandmothers cardiologist, hospice team and psychiatrist but not the one place who knew her best for years. Truly do not recomend them as Glenside Medical is the same care level as a Patient First. This facility proved they can only deal with small issues. Common colds, blood work, allergies etc. On behalf of the Wyatt family, we are very sorry this is how a long-term patient was treated her last month/days with us. read more

I've been on hydrocodone for yrs told me cant refill offered no alternatives exept over the counter tylenol and then walked out.Being a chronic pain patient and totally disabled I'll never go back !! read more

Been with Dr. Powers for years through several illnesses -- one or two serious. He's always professional, thorough, practical and tells it like it is. I don't like docs who sugar-coat it and Kevin is always honest. I've recommended Kevin to many of my friends because he's the most competent PCP I know and as an attorney representing injured people I encounter many of them. He's even done some minor surgery for me. I rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes for my appointments and the staff is kind, prompt and accommodating. Their office is accessible with plenty of parking and located at a major intersection. read more

I asked them to call in a prescription at noon. The nurse said they would call it in. I work out of town. I went to pick it up as soon as I got back into town. It wasn't there. I called Dr. Powers (on call Doctor). He said they don't call in prescriptions after hours. To use something OTC. I told him I am allergic to the OTC medicines. He said you will need to go to another doctor or come in on Monday. Very caring. I am so impressed. I also let him know that we would be changing doctors. This was a very simple request that should have been able to be completed without attitude. DON'T GO HERE. My husband, who has extremely high blood pressure, went to one of the doctors. His blood pressure, that day, was almost normal. The doctor wouldn't even review his medicines. He said you're normal today. You should be normal every day. Again, very caring. I called the office to see if I could get an appointment since my insurance said they were an urgent care facility. The woman who answered the phone said they weren't urgent care but she could schedule an appointment for me anyway since I had a fever of 102. When I got there they said I was mistaken no one took my call and then a woman said she took my call but didn't schedule an appointment. They were all very rude and condescending. I would hope the staff might get some compassionate care training one day! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Powers at Glenside Medical for nearly 20 years. He is a wonderful PCP...honest and straightforward. He provides in my opinion) the best care I could hope for. My husband has severely high cholesterol and trygliceride counts. after seeing an internist for years without any reduction in his numbers, I suggested he see Dr. Powers, once he did, with proper medication, his numbers dropped to well within the normal range and have been stabilized for years. The support staff is knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to answer questions and provide information. read more

I have used Dr. Mizrach, on and off for many years. He is a first rate doctor, who listens, explains things well, and is eager to please. But the operation that surrounds him is about as warm and welcoming as the DMV. They process humans in, like a factory. You sign the book, and wait. They shout your last name, and ask you to provide insurance cards and co payments. The people doing this do not smile, do not seem to enjoy what they are doing, make no small talk. They just process you in, and tell you to wait. I like Dr Mizrach enough that I can survive the factory like process. But most physicians do a better job of treating its customers when they walk in. read more

I have been going to Glenside Medical Assoc for five years and am very happy with Dr. Ashe, who is the only doctor I have ever chosen to see. I would recommend Dr. Ashe 100% to everyone. However, due to an experience I had on July 6th with Dr. Kevin Powers over the phone I would NEVER recommend him to anyone nor will I ever see that doctor. I called the doctor's exchange at midnight on the 6th and no one returned my call............I called again 45 min later and at 2 minutes after 1am Dr. Powers called. He NEVER said his name (caller id cleared that up) and he Screamed at me for calling and continued to scream at me and then finally told me never to call again. I was having nerve pain and the pain level was a 10!!!!! If there was nothing he could do, he could have been polite and said he could not help me over the phone. But, no, he chose to just scream at me. He would never give Glenside Medical a good rating..........only Dr. Ashe is the reason for me giving 4 stars.................I would give 0 stars if only basing it on Dr. Powers. read more

The reception area staff are rude and act like you are a bother. It is very uncomfortable. Even though they accept all kinds of insurance they are extremely costly for a new patient visit or a follow up. If you don't have the type of insurance that does copay, and you have to pay out of pocket like a 80/20 plan the office visit cost is extremely expensive. The nurses there are pleasant enough unless you have a call back question or have to literally beg for a refill to be done for you. I do agree with the other posting that wait time is not too bad. If you have a regular physician, I would definitely recommend that you go to them and only use these folks for an emergency only if Minute Clinic or a Patient First is not available to you. My family and I have been several times to this office and were not pleased with the service provided. Once you have been taken back and waiting for the doctor, which could still be quite a while, you can hear people laughing, playing around, and talking very loudly. In my humble opinion, this is not very professional. I have been in for an office visit, and had to have blood drawn for a cholesterol check. I had eaten lunch at noon and the lab drew blood about an hour or so later. I should not have agreed. We moved from out of state to Virginia, but my previous doctor always asked that I fast from midnight on until the blood was drawn. So I was a bit leery of this. I honestly don't like the staff or service at this facility and definitely don't recommend it to others. Bad feng shui, bad mojo, whatever you want to call it. It is a very uncomfortable not to mention the rudeness and unwelcoming atmosphere. We have moved on to finding a better place. Hope you will too. read more

I been going to see Dr. Ashe for over 15 years. I have Asthma and he has help me so much. The place is great and the staff are like family. Everyone is nice. They all try to help you. The lab tech Donna is the best at drawing blood I have ever had. I hate needles. Every when I've had to get a shot I didn't mind. Can't say enough good about Dr. Ashe and everyone there. read more

I requested an appointment with Dr. Powers for Medication Management for migraine medications. One of my prescriptions required a Prior Authorization from my insurance carrier. While at the pharmacy I WATCHED as they sent a prior-auth request to the office. I called 1 week later to check the status and left a very detailed voice mail for Alice that provided her with all of the clinical back ground she would need to obtain authorization. I received NO return call. I called back another week later and was told that the medication was NOT on my insurance formulary and that I would have to be prescribed another medication. The Insurance/business office personnel were always very short and rude on the phone. I THEN received a call stating that I would have to make yet ANOTHER appointment to be receive a prescription for an alternative medicine (that we had already discussed while I was in his office). I TRIED to complain to the office manager and was literally laughed at. The phone was THEN handed to Dr. Powers who stated I either had to come BACK in for another examination to receive this prescription - or I could find another doctor. I contacted my insurance company to file a formal complaint and was told that DR.POWERS OFFICE LIED - NO PRE-AUTHORIZATION WAS EVER APPLIED FOR AND THAT MY MEDICATION WAS INDEED ON THE INSURANCE FORMULARY. I asked my insurance company what CPT was used on my examination and they told me he billed for a "Comprehensive-High" - 45 minute examination fee (mind you - we talked for FIFTEEN MINUTES about medications I have been on for 10 years) but Dr. Powers INSISTED that I come into his office to be seen yet again - to basically re-write a prescription. (none of thee are controlled substances or narcotics) SOOO.......They LIED. they UP-CODE procedures and laugh in your face while doing it. I am indeed taking this "doctor's" advice - and I am finding another physician that uses integrity and expects the same from his staff. read more
