A true hidden gem in my work backyard! I am so glad I stumbled upon this small establishment. The menu looks amazing. The setting is a family kitchen that smells amazing. There is no seating available, pick up only. While waiting for my order, I browsed the supplements available for purchase. I ended up buying Biotin shampoo and conditioner. But the food... starting with the Chicken posole-- yum! Homemade all the way, because it is made from scratch with love by the chef! I'm shameful to admit it hat I had a very pleasant conversation with the chef and I didn't even ask her name. Guess I have to come back. The vegan sandwich with Indian Grain bread, beyond delicious. Very straightforward, healthy and fresh! And the sprouts - chef's kiss. They also package their delivered food with great care - so appreciated! The soup's can run a little salty for my taste but that's because I've removed added salt/sugar from my diet completely. Totally recommend the chicken pozole-inspired soup. When I was growing up in Rialto, this was my go to place for a healthy alternative. It was a staple of by teenage years. They were located in the heart of the city with an amazing little cafe within the store. My mom and I were in the area and decided to grab a healthy lunch. Was I a little disappointed that they were no longer located in the building which held memories for me...yes. Was I disappointed in the food??? No... My sandwhich was delicious and brought back memories. The new location offers an enclosed patio seating area away from the store, which is now located in one of the converted old houses on Riverside Avenue. Pros: super healthy, good amount of protein, simple, great price, good portion size, and fresh. Cons: usually they get really busy and it could take a long time to get the sandwich. I went in here and got some pills for my hair and nails. I have very weak nails and after acrylics they rip like paper so I'm excited to see the results of the pills I got. Owner even threw in a extra soup just so we can try. Chain stores will never give you this type of hospitality. You feel like you're going over to aunties house for some home cooked food. This isn't a upscale fancy over priced place that's going to sell you a veggie sandwich for 20$ lol. It's very basic but that's what makes it wonderful. I've had the veggie sandwich and it had a handful of greats veggies(not very filling tho). I've also had the veggie soup which is good(all veggie soups taste the same). I always have to go out of my way to even find it. Now I have a place not too far away. In case there was any doubt in anyone's mind, let me just say up front that I am Gluttony personified. If it hasn't been fried, grilled, or BBQ'd, I will probably have no interest in it. So please don't think that I discovered this place on my own, since under normal circumstances, I'd be as welcome as Marilyn Manson at the Crystal Cathedral if the owner's knew my dining habits. Also, let me say that the city of Rialto is not blessed with a number of good dining places that are safe and welcoming. That's just the reality of things. However, one of my work colleagues had heard of this place and how good their sandwiches were, so a number of co-workers got some food to go and they were really pleased with everything was ordered. I decided to go here to day, just to try things out, and I was pretty pleased. I ordered a triple meat sandwich, with roast beef, turkey, and ham. It had lettuce, tomato, and the requisite alfalfa sprouts, all on a really great (wheat perhaps?) bread. I also decided to try one of their smoothies. My sandwich was $5.50 and the smoothie was $3.75. I was pretty happy with the sandwich, but felt that the quantity and quality of the smoothie was certainly not worth the price I paid. The place is quaint, and by the looks of it, it is a converted old house. Half of the space is occupied by the health food part of the business, and the other half consists of a small dining area and a counter space with bar stools. I agree with the first reviewer that Rialto does not have many great eating places, but this place is good! It is a Health Food Store that sells vitamins and all sorts of other healthy stuff. You have to go to the back of the store to order your food and then pay at the vitamin part of the store where the cashier is. The place is definitely not fancy at all. I would not have tried this place out without the suggestion of a friend. I've only had two sandwiches here: the egg salad sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich. The egg salad sandwich is just a plain egg salad sandwich, but it tastes better here than anywhere I've had it! The chicken salad on the other hand...it's filled with chicken, mayo, cranberries, and almonds. Yum! Today I ordered 3 sandwiches for me alone! Lol. It was great! We ordered on mobile, and simply walked in, and got our food. It was around the time they were closing, but the lady gladly reopened the eating area for us, which was a seperate, but tiny building.
