The rumors and the word is true...don't go after dark lol. The characters hanging out give it an unsavory look, however, they ain't behind the counter so is cool! The guy behind the counter was cool. He was very friendly, talkative and informative about the food and the characters outside which made me even more comfortable because he was obviously not bothered by them. After watching several reviews on Tik Tok, I decided to try them. The menu is quite extensive for a donut shop which of course made it hard for me to decide. The hubster and I huddled up and decided to get a variety. I got the Philly Cheesesteak, extra mayo and the egg roll. The hubster got the fries and breakfast sandwich. $27 and 20 mins later (food delivered to the car) we were on our way. Now...the guy behind the counter said the Philly did not come with onions and bell peppers because they didn't use them because they found out they wasted them. Well not necessarily the case because my sandwich clearly had onions on it. There was not enough cheese or mayo which the grease made up for because it was definitely slippery. Their bread was fresh and soft. The flavor of the meat was very good. The onions accented it well. Overall I give the sandwich a 7. The egg roll was interesting. It was square and packed full of stuff! It was soft which I am going to chalk up to the commute. So for the egg roll, I'll give it a 7 also. The fries....a solid 10! Great for the commute! Fresh, well seasoned and fresh. The breakfast sandwich clearly had its flaws, however the bread was very fresh. He gave it a 6. Overall I give it @ 7.5 and definitely going back to try some other things. read more

Heard about this place and their amazing Philly cheesesteak. Read the reviews and had to give it a try. The cheesesteak did not disappoint. Plenty of meat and just enough onion. This Philly cheesesteak is probably THE BEST sandwich I've ever had. Tbh tho I don't eat cheesesteak that often but this blows all other sandwiches out of the water and now I NEED to be having this regularly. I tried the Philly cheesesteak. There wasn't any cheese but the sandwich was ok. There's a lot of meat if you're into that extra protein. I wish there was an option to add bell peppers. It's made fresh to order which is a plus. I won't necessarily be back for the Philly but may try a breakfast sandwich. read more

The area is a bit sketchy. Lots of homeless walking around panhandling. But the Philly Sandwich was AMAZING! It made it worth the wait.

The owner was extremely nice and guest already there were very pleasant and welcoming. Environment felt more like coming to my uncles house than a donut shop. After a couple of good laughs I gave the owner a list for 12 donuts as selected by my wife. He took the list and very happily boxed them up. In tied me to come back and have some regular food later, which I will certainly be trying soon. The donuts are delicious, very soft and wonderful presentation! I'll attack a picture. I really can't say anything negative about my experience. The dozen donuts were 18.00 plus tax, not horrible considering the price of food now a days. It may look simple, and people are probably saying"it's missing things, or that's not a Philly " but LET me tell you, it's full of FLAVOR! Where have you been hiding all this time?! For staters, the lady who works there is super nice. We called to see what the hours were and she let us know they close at 5 pm. All the reviews mentioned how great the philly cheesesteak is so my husband had to try it. He LOVED it and even I liked it and I never like philly's, personally. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was a great value, $3 and some change. It came with lettuce, onion, pickles, tomato, mayo and ketchup. Classic. The onion rings did not disappoint, either. More likely than not, you are probably going to drive right by this place and never give it a second thought, like I don't. I guess my question to is you is why in the hell are in this part of town anyways? I work here, that's my excuse!! It's run down and borderline dangerous, especially at night. At first glance, it would generously be called a hole-in-the-wall, since it shares a parking lot with a dive liquor store that caters to people of seemingly questionable character, consummating deals of questionable legality. I had heard from a friend here at work that it had some pretty good food, despite the fact that it's primarily a donut shop, so I thought I would give it a try, plus I wasn't all that hungry to begin with, so I had nothing to lose, least of all my lunch. Despite the exterior, the place is pretty clean inside, and they do have an "A" rating from the Health Department, which is always a good sign. Today, I opted for the hamburger special which was a special touted on the store's window. The burger itself was fair, as were the french fries. They had some other meals that I didn't bother to commit to memory, but everything was in the $5 range. However, the people running the place could not have been nicer, and another customer I spoke to while waiting for my food couldn't have been a more loyal fan. This place is probably closer to a 2-star place on its best day, but the friendliness of the staff boosted it an extra star. And hell, even one of these days, I'll actually get donuts from this place! read more
