As someone new to pulling a camper, I really appreciated how kind and patient everyone at Complete Hitch in Southgate was with me. They quickly figured out the issue with the 7-pin hitch wiring on my truck and repaired it so the brake system on the camper could function correctly. They could have easily told me the system was bad and I needed a new one, but instead they fixed the problem. I really appreciate that kind of honesty! To top it off, Josh worked hard to make sure everything was working correctly before I left and took extra time to walk me through how to use the brake system. There is no need to look any further. They are 5 star service . We had a hitch that was stuck and we tried 3 previous places to get unstuck...no luck.....went to Complete hitch and Josh and his team, took 2 days to do it, but they were persistent and got it done...(didn't even keep my truck overnight) ....and in my opinion didn't charge enough for all their hard work. Five stars is a lie! If you are looking for a professional job to be done this is not the place for you. I took my one ton in to have a fifth wheel hitch installed. I was willing to pay their overpricing expecting value, value that I did not receive. They cut my fender liner to access the bolts to install the hitch. When I called to confront them the response I was given was a nonchalant that's what they do and most people don't notice. Now I have an added expense to fix their cheep and dirty work. read more

Worth the over 1 hour drive from Pinckney to have a trailer hitch installed. Had the day off and at first called another company from whom I'd had a quote. They couldn't be bothered so I called Complete Hitch in Southgate due to the models of hitches they carry and for their positive Yelp reviews. When I spoke with Jerry in the morning, I expressed my interest in getting a hitch installed on the same day. He said he would fit me in in the afternoon and had to check to make sure he could get the hitch ordered and delivered that same day. A quick hold while he checked and it was a go! And a very reasonable price, too, for install with wiring! My Honda dealer was going to charge me over $1000. No friggin' way! About noon, Jerry called me to give me a more definite time of 3 pm and the install would take about 1 hour 15 minutes. I arrived at 3:00 pm and they took my car right in. Install took the time he said and the install was great! At first I couldn't find the wiring for the trailer. it was smartly inside my vehicle trunk area. It seems that this way it won't drag or get damaged during regular driving without a trailer. I found dealing with Jerry a very pleasant experience. He's been in business for decades and knows his stuff and takes good care of his customers. I wish more businesses were like him. Worth the drive there and even having to drive home in metro Detroit rush hour. Jerry and his team are very responsive, fair, friendly, and professional. I emailed about a 1¼" hitch for my sedan and he answered all the questions. He price matched where he could and was very open and honest about everything. I didn't mind paying a couple extra bucks here and there and he wasn't upset that I had to order a product elsewhere (his distributor was priced higher than I would've payed for a certain item). They had me in and out of the place in no time and ordered items on the spot. Everything arrived very quickly and he had me on my way with exactly what I was looking for. The place is a little messy, but I take it as a sign that they're more concerned with focusing on the customer and doing a professional job than keeping up appearances.
