Because of their incompetence, they removed healthy tissue from her throat during surgery. As a result, my dog now struggles to breathe for the rest of her life. What's even more disgusting is that instead of admitting their mistake, they deny all responsibility, lie, and do everything they can to avoid accountability. There is no honesty, no professionalism, and absolutely no compassion for the animals whose lives they destroy. If you truly love your pet, stay as far away from this clinic as possible. We are new to Complete Pet Care and wow, we are impressed! We took our 6 month old Golden Retriever to get spayed here and from the pre-surgery check up to the day of surgery and post-op pick up, the experience was stellar. We are not used to such a large practice but the friendliness of the vets and staff makes you feel right at home! Not only did we receive texts regarding our pup's appointments, but we also received a "what to expect" video regarding our pup's spay surgery. I have taken three dogs and three cats for veterinary care at CPC Heritage in the past 6 years. I love that I can always get an appointment for an urgent problem. I appreciate being able to go online and schedule most of my own appointments for routine care. The doctors know the latest findings in dog and cat health research, and all of the staff are caring and kind to their patients (and their patients' owners). Dr. Caballero is the vet I always ask for, but I have never been unhappy when Dr. Cab is not available and I see a different doctor. Everyone is wonderful. I won't be going to a different vet as long as CPC Heritage is available for me. read more

This is for all of the people who want to apply for a position for this company ,be cautious when applying. I would put this on Indeed but their website is made only for positive feedback but I think if someone wants to see reviews of a company, they should have a right to read reviews that have pros AND cons....so I applied for a veterinary assistant position for this company. I had an interview with the hiring manager on Thursday the 13th in March of 2025 and at some point the hospital manager came in the room and only stayed for a few minutes. During the interview, the hiring manager asked me if I had any references from my previous veterinary employer. They claimed I did not put any references from my previous veterinary employer in my resume which is NOT TRUE. I put two to three references in my resume who either work there currently or do not anymore but I did work with them at some point for the 3 years that I worked as a VA at the vet hospital; when applying on their application website for the hospital, somehow your resume will get all unorganized so it may have looked like I didn't have any references from my previous veterinary employer? Not sure why their application website does that. Right after the interview, the hiring manager asked if I had time to Shadow one of their veterinary assistants and I said "yes!" I thought that was pretty cool because that doesn't usually happen (to me anyway) so I assumed they really liked me. I also thought it would be an awesome place to work because they have the same structure/system that my previous veterinary employer has which was a plus for me! everything seemed to be going well. After I shadowed one of their employees, the hospital manager came to get me, not sure where the hiring manager went. The hospital manager and I talked for a little bit about my pet and how I adopted him. I cannot recall if it was the hiring manager or the hospital manager that told me at some point, that they would contact meTHE NEXT DAY. So after I got home from the interview, I immediately sent them more references from my previous veterinary employer just so that they had more. The next day (Friday) I didn't hear back from the hospital or hiring manager so I contacted the hospital on Saturday and asked if they made a decision. The front desk person told me that The hiring manager is off for the weekend which was understandable and that they will reach out to me either later on or on Monday. I Did email the hiring manager on that Saturday apologizing for reaching out to her during the weekend but also wanting to know if they made a decision because I had another offer from a vet hospital but I wanted to work for CPC.. The hiring manager did not respond to that email. So on Monday (st. Paddy's Day) I called their office again wanting to see if the hiring manager/hospital manager was in because I still have not heard anything by noon that day, and of course the front desk person told me that the manager was out for the day...and that the hiring manager is working remotely. So I emailed the hiring manager once again asking if they made a decision. The hiring manager responded saying they're looking at other applicants and REACHING OUT TO REFERENCES and will get back to me. A few hours later the hiring manager emailed me back saying that I was not accepted for the position... Out of curiosity, I contacted my references (I believe I sent them six references) and asked them if they received a phone call from the hiring manager, All of my references said no, they did not receive a phone call. I was a little confused because on the day of the interview they did not mention anything about other applicants being reviewed as well, so that is why I thought they were only interested in me. I emailed the hiring manager back asking if they spoke to the correct references that I gave them? I didn't hear back from the hiring manager that...of course. I also emailed the hospital manager and wondering why my references were not called. I also did not hear back from the hospital manager. So after all of that for nothing, that was not the right place for me to work because obviously they are lacking in their communication skills and how all of that happened was not professional. Which is really unfortunate. So word of advice, make sure if you are applying for a job with this company, make sure you contact your references and asking them if anyone reached out because that was a crappy situation that I went through with them. They could have just told me no from the start... read more

The team here is EXCELLENT--they have saved my dogs' lives twice over the past 3 years due to the mysterious canine respiratory illness that blew through the south. Beyond that, they make solid evidence-based decisions, and they do a great job of advocating for the pet's care. Their doctors also have a very good bedside manners with the owners and are always able to provide answers to my questions. I see some 1-star reviews below by people who clearly don't understand medicine. Our pets' bodies are just as complex as our own, so some issues aren't "fixed" after one visit. Also, this is a pet "hospital", not a small clinic. The higher prices here reflect the higher availability of care and expertise that you find here. You can find cheaper prices at a local clinic, but they are limited in their abilities to test and treat anything but the most simple issues. It's very much like when we go to an urgent care clinic versus a hospital. I choose to go here as our primary care center because they're thorough and makes sensible decisions based on medical data for our pets. read more

Went to this vet becuase im new in town & wanted to establish my dog as a patient. The waiting room is the most negligent system Ive ever seen. Its an open room where they dont have any way to separate your dog from other aggressive dog. Check out is a nightmare cause its in the same lobby area. And having a growling dog behind you while your trying to pay and a lil old lady trying to hold her dog back from mine is cra cra. It also seems to be a lot more pricer than other locations Ive been too but I'm willing to pay for great pet care. In all fairness the Vet was nice enough & patient with my questions but some of the techs were a little loud and did not seem to be pet ppl (if you know ou know). They were a little rough. These vets don't care about your animal and will tell you whatever they need to get you out of the office so they can get on with another patient. They had me feeding my cat severely low amounts of food to lose weight and it made him sick, thankfully another vet gave me a real diet plan. Disheartening Experience with This Veterinary Clinic I am deeply disheartened by the recent care my dogs received at this clinic. Initially, I was impressed by the attentiveness and expertise of Dr. Holding. The care my pets received seemed exceptional, and I even continued traveling an hour and a half to this clinic after moving. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has left me questioning the clinic's medical oversight and communication practices. Both of my dogs recently underwent dental cleaning at this clinic. Prior to the procedure, Dr. Holding informed me that Charlee's liver enzyme (ALT) was "slightly elevated" but assured me the surgery was safe. However, I later discovered that Charlee's ALT was 806--nearly seven times higher than the normal upper limit (10-125). Had I been informed of the severity of this elevation, I would have never agreed to proceed with the surgery. During the procedure, Charlee experienced significant complications, including difficulty waking from anesthesia, a cyanotic event, and bradycardia. The clinic called to inform me of these issues and recommended delaying his pickup by two hours for observation. However, upon bringing him home that evening, Charlee appeared critical--he couldn't stand, seemed to have had a stroke, and was extremely cold. The following morning Charlee was still struggling, I contacted the clinic, only to be told that Dr. Holding wouldn't be available until Saturday (two days later). Despite expressing my concerns and confirming I was ok to speak with any veterinarian on staff, I was initially brushed off. A vet tech eventually called back and relayed notes from Dr. Holding, but the tech struggled to interpret them, which was both alarming and frustrating. It wasn't until I insisted, that I finally spoke with another veterinarian, who explained Charlee's prolonged recovery was likely due to his impaired liver function. I find it concerning a veterinarian clinic would not follow-up the next day on a patient that had a serious adverse event after a procedure. In addition to Charlee's ordeal, there was confusion regarding my other dog, Trooper, and his pro-heart injection. At the time of pickup, they did not list is pro-heart injection. Upon questioning, I was told Trooper had received the injection and it was an oversight in the record. Later, when boarding Trooper, I discovered the clinic's records stated it was overdue. After further questioning, I was finally told he had not received the injection. When I asked about the risks of administering a double dose in case of an error, I was given vague assurances that it "should be fine" but to monitor him for adverse reactions--a response that did not inspire confidence. These events have been deeply disappointing and concerning. They indicate a lack of clear communication, inadequate follow-up, and poor medical oversight. While I do not take writing negative reviews lightly, I feel it is important for others to be aware of these issues, as they reflect a serious lapse in the standard of care I once trusted. read more

Completely taken advantage of and wanted me to come back for follow up, which I refused. My dog has come back from boarding and had extreme diarrhea both times. I know that diarrhea after boarding can be common. However, it usually last 1-2 days for my dog. I'm going on 5 days with no end in sight. The damage to my home is borderline up repairable. They definitely did something to her. read more

Both veterinarians are knowledgeable and seem to really care about the animals and the entire office team is friendly and attentive. I bring my 8 year old Cavy here and he is spoiled during the entire visit. Like all vets, they are expensive. They offer insurance; which removes the office fee, shot fees and other preventive maintenance fees. My dog is high maintenance and requires a lot of attention lol so he comes often and it makes a huge difference in cost. They also provide grooming and do a pretty good job. A bit choppy, but not bad and it's comforting to know your dog is being treated well. My mom-in-law has boarded her dogs here and was very pleased with the service then as well. A bit pricey for boarding too but you get what you pay for. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about the experience we had today with the grooming team! Our long hair GSD has terrible anxiety about grooming due to a bad experience as a puppy at a different facility out of state. She has since been denied by two other groomers because she gets so anxious and upset. We were recommended Complete Pet Care to do a sedated grooming. The groomer called and shared she thought with some patience they could get through the process and would keep me posted. She called me twice for updates and even though I missed both calls she left me detailed voicemails about how our dog was doing. Our dog looks great considering the matting that needed to be corrected and she came back to us as happy as can be and she didn't even need the sedation! Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning! read more

Do not take your pet here for grooming. We dropped off our Labradoodle and when we picked her up she was traumatized. She was cut (nicked) all over her body and ears. She was so traumatized that she did not bark for 3 days!!. It would seem that they muzzled her to avoid the screams she was making while they tortured her. We had to take her back for the Veterinarian to look at the cuts!! read more

I am a pet owner who has been taking my dog Sir Royal McNair to Complete Pet Care for over a year. In general, the staff is warm, friendly and helpful. However, last week I ran into a problem that staff was able to favorably rectify. I signed a release acknowledging a flu virus in the boarding unit of the Pet Center. I returned from my trip after two days and brought my dog home who was "very low on energy, and very lethargic. Two days later he had a fever, he had diarrhea and excessive fluid running from his nose. He went to an Urgent Care Clinic, unrelated to Complete Pet Care, and the service we horrible. The next day, I took Sir Royal back to Complete Pet Care and the staff was fantastic. The managers both Crystal and Kim were very professional and understanding. Lauren Hessler, DVM and Fred ,Staff support, resolved Sir Royal's congestion in two days. I saved us money and time by taking care of Sir Royal. Outstanding! My dog had a random, scary injury and Dr. Thames answered the phone at 4AM on a Sunday night/Monday morn. Based on what happened, he said what he thought it was, which wasn't too serious, and calmed me down. I brought in my dog first thing that morning. By the time I got there they had already obtained his records from this previous vet. The facility is new, clean, and very nice. All staff was very friendly and professional. Both Dr. Thames and his vet tech showed genuine care and interest in making sure my dog (son) got better in a hurry. While we were there, I decided to have a sedated nail trim (only way to trim nails for my boy) and his price was less than my prior vet, and overall prices were very reasonable. Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the long wait I had to be called up and then again to be seen by the doctor - there was nobody else waiting and I didn't see anyone come out of rooms from an appointment once I was called. The staff at complete pet care are negligent at best and possibly abusive. I have left Nandor with them for boarding on 2 occasions for a total of 10 nights, and he has returned home with an injury on BOTH occasions. The first time we went I noticed an injury as soon as we brought him home and immediately contacted the vets office. We were told that this injury was never even noticed while he was there despite the fact that he was supposed to be groomed while there as well. The owner did apologize for his staff's negligence so we decided to give them another chance. We picked him up for the second time yesterday and I was told about he had an injury, pictured here on his back upper thigh area, only as they brought him out to me. They told me that it had been looked over by a vet while he was there, but they never called me to tell me about it during his stay. The worst part is I CALLED THEM to EXPLICITLY ASK HOW MY PUPPY WAS DOING 2 DAYS BEFORE PICK UP AND THESE PEOPLE DID NOT TELL ME ABOUT THE INJURY. THEY LITERALLY LIED TO ME ABOUT THE STATUS OF MY PET'S HEALTH AND WELLBEING. it is abundantly clear to me that pets are not receiving adequate care and supervision from these people. We have been taking our dog here for several years but have always noticed how expensive this vet is. They seem to continually go up in price for what you get. They never get to the bottom of my dogs issues and always leave us wondering as they say it might be this or might be that but never resolution to her issues. This last visit I requested a certain doctor to see and even waited to the end of the day to be able to be fit it into his schedule. Due to Covid you don't go in the place so you don't see the doctor they call you after the fact so when the vet doctor called back I said why did our dog not see Dr. Thames her response was your dog was on my schedule however I know that not to be true as I made the appointment early that morning and confirmed the dog would be seeing Dr. Thames and clarified this with the receptionist. So after all that waiting all day we did not even see the doctor we were suppose to see (more knowledgeable than others there) and charged well over $200 for the whole 20 minutes my dog was seen. I am not a happy customer as don't recommend this veterinarian office. I have given them multiple chances - it seems as though they cannot get their crap together. It's all about the bottom line dollar not about the care of your animals. read more

We have been going to this Hospital for Vet services and boarding of our dog 7 years ago. Two months ago, we took a family trip to disneyworld. We left our dog at this facility for boarding, as we have done many times over the years. The second day at boarding in the morning, their veterinarian saw our dog for a physical. We were told he was in good health for a 7 year old dog. At around 8pm, we got a call from this hospital that our dog had stopped breathing twice and turned blue twice. They told us they had to resuscitate him twice and he might not survive the night. They put the phone near our dog so we could talk to him and we heard him stop breathing. We asked what happened and they said they didnt know. They told us he needed to be moved to an emergency vet immediately and for someone to come get him. We told them we were in florida. We asked if they could transport him. They told us no and to get someone to pick him. We had to call friends to go get him at 11pm and transport him. At the emergency vet, they did tests and did not see any physical problems that would have caused this. My wife had to take an emergency flight back from florida to take care of him. Luckily, he survived. I called and spoke to the manager of this facility and asked what happened. She said they dont know what happened, maybe the dog has a medical problem, and refused to take any kind of responsibility. The multiple vet hospitals bills cost over $2000 and we have never been told why. Since our dog left the facility 2 months ago. they have not contacted us to see how our dog is doing. They dont even know if our dog is alive and they have been taking care of our dog since he was a puppy 7 years ago. read more

I have recently started taking my 8 year old dog here and we were lucky enough to get Dr Kathleen Hayes as our Dr. Precious was alone in our trlr when we had the tornado years ago and because of that she has PTSD where she shakes real bad and everything when it comes to thunderstorms. She was taking one medication, before the onset of a storm, however it quit working and we had a horrible time Monday night with the storms. I called the vet the next day to get something else and they were busy. Dr Hayes went above and beyond and called me from home at 8:00 PM to make sure I had something new in case I needed it that night or the next day. She really cares about her patients and their owners. I wouldn't want to see anybody else except for her when I take my baby in there. read more

My puppy needed labs, and we got the labs, with results, within 45 minutes, along with a thorough explanation of the results. He had obtained the records from the Vet ER and our previous Vet, prior to our visit. The facility is brand new, and it is clean and well stocked with medicines and special foods for unique dietary needs. Dr. Thames is outstanding, compassionate, and professional. He informed us of the seriousness of our pups condition, and referred us to the necessary higher level of care. He showed genuine concern for our little guy.
