We definitely recommend Complete Wedding + Events for your DJ needs! We received a vendor list from The Elms and we liked the idea of hiring a DJ company that had worked at the Elms before. We hired them about 8 months out from the wedding and we were sent a link to fill out the details of our day. This was helpful to prompt us on all the options we needed to start thinking about. We met with our DJ, Jeron, five days before the wedding via Zoom. We sent him some Spotify lists for our cocktail hour and dinner that he was able to accommodate in short notice. He had the right amount of energy for the party we wanted and checked in with Chad and I throughout the night that was greatly appreciated. He also sent us a really thoughtful handwritten note to us after the wedding, that really meant alot. My only note is it would have been nice to have our initial meeting more like 2 weeks out from the event. We met on the Monday of our wedding week and that week was pretty jammed packed. Brandon was phenomenal to work with. The staff at complete made the process easy and simple. We like many couples right now had to reschedule and they were super eager to help us continue to make our day perfect even if it meant a Sunday following a holiday. Brandon came by our house to discuss the details of our wedding, which honestly we hadn't thought through. He made it simple with plenty of suggests and we never felt overwhelmed. He is also super responsive so you never feel like you have been ignored. He was even willing to make changes post final meeting when we realized we said a song that we didn't actually want. When it came time for the ceremony he made sure we could hear the music and everyone was in place without any worries. Then the reception came he made it flow with ease. He helped me (the bride) get my dinner which was wonderful because lets be honest large dress and getting a plate can be a challenge at times. Then he never let our cups go dry, it was like having a personal attendant all night, and I honestly didn't know how to handle so much pampering! There were a few moments throughout the night when things didn't go as planned and he made everything ebb and flow with ease. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our big day. Our bridal party had several engaged couples and they started asking if they could cancel their DJ's to book Brandon, that is how great of an impression he left. Our friend in Colorado had referred us to this company as they did a great job for their wedding which we were present for. We met with the manager with Complete and felt very comfortable with our conversations and questions that were answered immediately. I wrote an internal review for them, but I don't feel that I gave our DJ Logan enough credit. He did an amazing job with the sound, vibe, and energy of our wedding and reception. He was very active and personable with our guests which pushed them to be a little more active on the dance floor. We used them for our wedding in April purchasing the package containing photo, video, photobooth, & DJ. First of all, the videographer "forgot" to interview my husband before our wedding & didn't get our first look. The final video was a joke- my husband took the raw footage and made our own that is 10 times better than what was given. Also, when our video was done I responded with my mailing address (which they had on multiple forms already) and it took me calling, emailing, and texting to get it another two weeks later. The photography that included "special edits" looked like they put a sepia filter on and called it a day. She and the videographer were both 30 minutes late which I still paid for. Finally, to top it all off the photo booth misspelled my name. When this was brought to the attention of the management staff, they offered reprints but that was our wedding favor so our entire families have a misprinted photo. I wanted to share my experience so that other brides would not book this group for convenience like I did. I thought having one company would make life easier but instead it was the worst mistake. read more

I used them for my wedding. They were very accommodating and have you fill out a questionnaire so they can pair you with a DJ you will be comfortable with. They also have what group dances you want to have (chicken dance, electric slide, etc) so they know exactly what you want. They have an online payment system that makes it super easy. We met with the owner once, then our DJ once close to our wedding to make sure we liked him and what we expected on our wedding day. He stayed true to what we told him and was a good fit for us. I didn't feel like we just got some random, loud, rude DJ. They actually take the time to enlist the DJ by conducting a questionnaire and just talking to you. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful our DJ, Kevin, was. He was so organized and was more DJ/Wedding Coordinator. He made sure that everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. I don't think that I have ever been to a wedding where so many people danced and were engaged. It was all because of Kevin. Everyone went on and on all night about how wonderful he was. I hired their company after my vendor said they recommend them. So I did. The price the quoted was not what I paid. I got the package deal with photography. The DJ they gave me was not dressed proper when he arrived. The system set up was very unattractive. We met with our DJ before and told him what we wanted and didn't want. We told him NOT to play the Chicken dance or hokey pokey. He insisted it would work. I told him my family not into it. He said just wait and I would be surprised. Well he lead with those songs and cleared my dance floor. He then struggled to get them back out. Why can't these guys just do what I asked. I found out that these DJs do what they want cause they claim to be pros. Not the case at all. I am writing this cause I went to the bridal show and saw brides being misled by this company just to get their business. WARNING to all brides I was not happy with my service. Wade told me he could only give me $50.00 back even though I spent $1275 for their package. Do not hire this company. Smaller KC companies will provide better service because they don't have corporate office to tell them how to do business. read more
