Wow - I couldn't disagree more with most of these reviews. I've been a patient of Comprehensive Pain Management for just about 15 years and I can't speak highly enough of them! They've ALWAYS been professional and have treated me compassionately throughout the entire time I've been seen by them. I have chronic low back pain due to three different diagnoses in the same 3 vertebrae and it took quite a while to find a way to manage my pain appropriately. Unfortunately, pain meds were the only method that worked - UNTIL I did a trial of a Nevro HFX neurostimulator. That worked beautifully and I now have had one permanently implanted and am tapering off my pain meds. All thanks to Dr. Schwartzman and the staff at the Warwick office of Comprehensive Pain Management. People do need to remember that ALL pain management clinics are under constant scrutiny by both state and federal agencies - pain meds are VERY highly restricted - for good reason! Prescriptions are restricted to 30 days max NOT by these doctors, but by RI law. And all the "rules" required to be followed if you ARE prescribed pain meds are spelled out in a pain contract that you're required to review and sign annually (standard practice by any doctor prescribing opiates - it was required by my old pain medicine practice, too!)- so it should never be a shock to be asked for a urine sample! That's very plainly spelled out in the contract! Just make sure you don't "go" before you head to the office for your appointment - it's not that hard to deal with. I've been doing it for 15 years! I've NEVER been treated like a drug seeker or an addict - maybe because my pill counts are ALWAYS accurate and my drug screens always show exactly what they're supposed to. If you're looking to get high, don't bother coming here. If you're looking for compassionate treatment for a long-term pain issue, this is where I've found it and I highly recommend Comprehensive Pain Management. read more

Rude, unhelpful and very unprofessional. Will make you wait hours after your appointment is scheduled even when no one else is waiting just to tell you they can't help you but still try to take your money anyway. When you call the office staff is rude over the phone and will only talk over you ( even hang up on you) never again read more

Unfortunately, my experience with Comprehensive Pain Management has been disappointing. They do not return phone calls, and the hold times are excessively long. After making three separate attempts to reach someone, I ultimately gave up. read more

Aweful! I called 3 times in a span of a week and a half. I was blatantly told to stop calling. This blew my mind. I felt as though I was a piece of paper and not a person. I was told at one appointment that they'd treat one of my conditions and that I needed to wait 2 weeks. When I returned as scheduled I was told they weren't going to see me for that. They wanted to do trigger point injections on my broken sacrum. Absolutely not. read more

I could not survive without them. 2 less than successful back surgeries and 1 Shoulder surgery left me with terrible pain. The Doctors that have treated me there make my life manageable. I've been going to this office since they opened and where they were before that for a couple of years. They listen to me when I have a problem. I had a new small area on my back that gave me a lot of pain. When I went in for my appointment for meds they listened to what I had to say then they said let's try this. Well, it worked. From the first time I took that new med that quarter size pain went away and I have not felt it once since. I call her a miracle worker. Back a few years ago I had to go to the emergency room because the pain was horrible. All they did was show me exercises for my back. i have been a patient at warwick pain management for 4 years today 10/2/24 i got discharged from the program because i took the incorrect amount of medication since i have been a patient at this clinic i have had shots and radio frequency obilations i told them i needed an increase on my pain medication and i tried all their solutions but they did not work they treated me like a dog i am in a wheel chair and not once did they help me move about in the facility today i video taped my encounter because of the mistreatment i received on my last two visits they treatened to call the police and closed the reception area unbelievable all they care about is money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i owe them $1,000 and i am not paying them one red cent beware this facility worships the almighty dollar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Stay far away from this operation. If your doctor or insurance company refers you here, insist on finding an alternative. They overbook and understaff constantly. They've contacted me to reschedule several times, and the wait upon arrival is over an hour. If you can't handle the amount of work, you need to limit new patients. Stop being greedy and grow up. read more

The company did not relieve any pain they made me wait 4 months for an appointment and i have arthritis in my shoulder and hip and knees and had 2 ribs removed due to a growth attached to my lung and ribs I am 70 years old and after waiting 4 months I had to have 2 appointments then I received after 2 appointment i script for the month for 10 pills then 15 pills for the month. This place is a scam and should not be affiliated with any service that says they will relieve pain. I still have no medicine and I have stopped making the request just suffer with the pain. read more

I was treated like I had drug-seeking behavior....the staff forgets there are patients with legitimate chronic pain. Calls for separate post-operative pain management were not returned and were treated dismissively. I could not in good conscience recommend this practice. read more

Management does not care about the employees I was in a severe car accident on October 1st and I requested to have the day off for mental health as I was wondering ripping out my hair so I can contact every doctor that needs to be contacted for my daughter and I as my daughter was in the vehicle also and management kept on insisting that I come in for half a day but I'm sorry that's unacceptable I do not have enough time for that I was literally out driving to doctor to doctor and on the phone from 9:00 until about 1:30 and then still on the phone up until about 5:00 how was I going to get all that done in half a day and still not done I have to follow up with several doctors as I have abdominal bruising inside and outside on my knee on my breast my daughter has it on her chest I have to go to an orthopedic and get an MRI but they say they care about their employees the day of the accident I texted management pictures of my car that is totaled I didn't get one text back asking how I was feeling I had to call her phone multiple times on Sunday to finally get a response for her to tell me that I will see you Monday morning I won't put you in South county since you don't have a vehicle we will wait until you have a reliable vehicle never once asking how I was feeling until she seen me in person the kicker is I know longer have my position there I started on June 28th and I was talk to you about absences but I am a single mother to an 8 year old little girl and people get sick I'm the only one that takes her to doctor's appointments so I have been out of work here and there to compensate for me going to the doctor's or her each time I provided a doctor's note even though it was less than 3 days and today when I was out I had a doctor's note but they still let me go I do not recommend this place whatsoever read more

if I could write no stars I would! My mother moved from California to Connecticut three weeks ago. We had set up the pain clinic to be her new pain solution here on the East Coast. We met with them once everything all sounded fine until we went back two weeks later for the solid plan and prescriptions, at this appointment they said sorry there's nothing I can do for you. They offered detox solutions only. My mother has severe and debilitating rheumatoid arthritis in her entire body and has been diagnosed with Parkinson's, she's in extreme pain every single day. At this point she does not have long to live and our main goal is quality of life and pain relief, you would think you could get this from a pain clinic. This clinic waited 3 1/2 weeks to tell us that they would not service her! Now I am in a race for time to find a solution with another clinic. I really hope that nobody else tries to bring their mother to this clinic for any sort of relief! read more

I have been going there for a minimum of a couple years now so it's fair to say this is an honest review. They overbook there appointments Which I have to say has gotten better. I have a serious issue with the fact you NEVER GET TO BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH A PHYSICIAN / DOCTOR BECAUSE THEY NEBER STAY long enough. The turn over for physicians is unbelievable. Bathrooms are not being cleaned / wiped down in between people, toilet seat was dirty and toilet paper on the floor and no paper towels. A new Physician put the wrong date on my prescription that was electronically sent and I called the next morning and they said they would send another one in the afternoon, I said I've been out since yesterday and I was told that's when they call them in. Over 24hrs and it doesn't faze them. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. You will never be treated worse. I have spent a decade going to various clinics for pain and and I have never been treated like this. They only have nurse practitioners, so you will be dealing with uncaring, unqualified people at every appointment. They make you come in for every refill to do a urine sample, so they are always overbooked, thus you wait for an hour to be spoken down to for a two minutes. My longest appointment here lasted four and a half minutes. Without any head ups to this rule, I was told I could not return to the clinic because I could not provide a urine sample within an hour. That's right, because I didn't have to pee, I lost my pain management. I have necrosis in six joints and cannot function without pain medication, but I was never once shown any compassion or understanding here. They will treat you like you are an addict, guaranteed. You will not be treated like a human here. If you have any other option, take that instead of this horrible place. I cannot stress enough how poorly and contemptuously they treat patients here. read more

As far as I am concerned they put everybody in the same category as I believe some people have a higher tolerance than others. As I was sent there by a top neurosurgeon for a broken back and many other issues as I need major surgery so I get there and I see a nurse practitioner Who says he believes that I should be on Suboxone with a broken back and severe lower back issues I would suggest not to go there they do not listen to smarter people that have more experience instead of thinking on their feet they go by what the politicians tell them to do... read more

I have never left a bad review for anyone and I apologize for this long review but I am so pissed I don't know what else to do. I went here with high hopes of getting some kind of relief for my back pain. My first visit I told the nurse practitioner that I would do what they recommended but I didn't want any kind of medication that would make me feel dopey or tired. She was very nice and told me that I had to go for an updated MRI so they could see what was going on and then we would go from there. It seemed very promising that I would finally get some answers and relief. I went for my MRI and went for my follow up where I reiterated that I didn't want any medication that made me dopey and she told me she was going to prescribe Belbuca. I never heard of it before and she said that it wouldn't make me feel dopey so I said ok. I started taking it on a Saturday because I wanted my husband to be home in case I had a bad reaction. I slept all day Sunday but then it wasn't too bad but it didn't take any of my pain away. I called the office and they had me come in the next day and increased the dosage. That was on a Wednesday. By Friday morning, I was so doped out that I couldn't stay awake at all and I wasn't making any sense at all. I called the office again and they told me to give it time. I ended up sleeping all weekend and I called them first thing Monday morning. The secretary told me to go back to the original dosage until my appointment. I told her that I didn't want to take it so they needed to call me back. She got very sarcastic and said someone would call me back. I waited all day and nobody called. I called my PCP and he told me to stop taking it and to go back on my pain meds. I finally got a phone call back from them at 3:30 Tuesday afternoon and the secretary got extremely sarcastic when I told her that my doctor told me to stop taking the Belbuca and she said so I gather you're not coming here anymore. At that point I was so pissed I said no and she said she would take my appointments out and then hung up. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I don't know if they get a commission on this medication but I have never been treated so badly in my 51 years of life. This is the worst place I have ever been to. read more
