My experience here at CWC has been nothing short of amazing. It was here that I learned the fundamental tools that I incorporate in my daily life to stay clean and sober. For starters, CWC has a small intimate setting, giving it a family orientated environment. The staff takes a personalized approach when communicating with clients. They are aware that each individual responds differently to challenges and everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Drugs are just a symptom of our disease and in order to address that, you must first focus on the mental health issues. This includes one-on-one counseling sessions with professional therapists as well as group therapy to discuss any problems that arise throughout our day. They provide open and honest feedback while displaying a genuine concern in rectifying our issues. The clinical team provides education about the sociology behind our disease allowing us to better understand our addiction, in turn, this helps avoid relapse. During my stay here I've noticed that clients who leave against medical advice (AMA) promptly return after they realize the assistance that CWC is providing them to overcome their addiction. They realize the resources here are unparalleled to any other treatment center. Although this is a business they never lose focus of the primary purpose, providing a safe a sober living environment. In addition to providing sober support, CWC makes it a priority to show that there is a life outside of drugs and alcohol. We engage in activities such as movie nights, going out to eat at Tijuana Flats (a popular Mexican restaurant known for their delicious tacos), beach outings and visiting fine arts museums. They make learning fun so we are interested in educating our minds. They do not give up on their clients. You don't feel like you're a commodity and your concerns are addressed by any means necessary. I could not have picked a better facility to help me overcome my addiction to Crystal Meth. All the staff members here, from the maintenance attendant to the techs, all the way to the CEO maintain a great rapport with the clients. Everyone here is willing and able to help us remain clean and sober. Staff was beyond amazing from intake up (Renee rocks), the programming was better than any other treatment center I've been to. Gary Kimble, a historian of A.A. walked me through the steps and gave the program so much more meaning than ever before. (Everyone Loves ya Gary)Truly blessed to have that aspect of recovery while learning in group therapy, tools and skills to stay sober. The techs are mostly in recovery and truly understand us (Love y'all too, to many to mention, but all you are amazing) and the counselors are always willing to go above and beyond. I have been in treatment for bipolar and chemical dependency issues since the age of 15 and when I completed treatment I always immediately returned to self medicating with illegal substances within hours or days. I never got anything out of treatment until I finally went to CWC. At the age of 42, I was broken, battered, scarred, and had no soul or desire to live anymore. I surrendered to my addiction with heroin and crack cocaine at CWC. I learned so much and received nothing but the best care possible by the great staff and clinicians. I finally understood, through working with my therapist and Gary K, that I was powerless over drugs. That I wasn't worthless and a bad person. I had a brain disorder that was terminal and wanted to kill me. I was taught to love myself again and become a productive member of society through hard work and facing my disease. Unfortunately I have been to several rehabs, so I have a barometer for comparison. The staff is friendly and accommodating(Techs). The therapists/clinicians are professional and thorough. Through this program, I have met two people that I feel are going to be instrumental in my long term sobriety. Gary K and Andrew B have instilled trust and a sense of knowledge of the true nature of my disease. Hope. For the first time, I am working the steps (Gary K) and getting clinical answers (Andrew B). My desire to not leave the area says volumes to/about change because I really don't care for South Florida. The accommodations are excellent here at CWC. Case manager, Mandy K is unbelievably organized, thorough, and consistent. CWC would collapse without her. CWC literally saved my life. One big difference between this treatment center and the other ones I've been to is the fact that the people here believe in me and believe I can stay clean; that has made all the difference. CWC offers all the necessary tools to keep me sober and it's up to me to apply them in my daily life. If you're hesitant about treatment, I would definitely suggest coming here; it will save your life if you let it. If you're still unsure about recovery, try it daily for a year, and if you don't like it after the year, go back to your old life. I went from living on the streets, having frequent run-ins with cops, and being someone who didn't know another way of life to someone that I actually am happy to be. My experience at CWC was really good! I loved the staff. It helped with my anxiety and depression a lot. I learned new coping skills such as breathing exercises. The group therapy wasn't really my thing, it never has been. I have learned to be sober and be truly happy! I haven't felt this happy in a long time. I will really miss CWC. I've gotten close with the people here and I'm kind of sad that I'm leaving. But I feel like everything will be alright. I just hope I have people I can call. I have been to several treatment facilities and comprehensive Wellness Center is by far the best one I have been to. they really care the staff was just like family they truly have saved my life and I would recommend anyone in need of treatment going their. if it wasn't for CWC I would probably be dead I have a relationship with my family now and have a new family as well. the therapist were more intimate as far as spending quality time getting to the root of all my issues. they bent over backwards to make sure all my physical issues we're taking care of. the doctors here really went all out to make sure I addressed all my needs. read more

The past couple years I have been in and out of treatment. I have relapsed and relapsed. Lost touch with a program of recovery and the people in it. Hitting my bottom became my biggest blessing.
