I spoke to an articulate capable sounding person. When I got there the guy spoke poor english. I told him the status of the phone - water intrusion but it does speak to itunes - and I expected him to list options. He did not. Just handed me a bill for an assessment/analysis. The reviews were generally good so I left the phone I got a call later from a woman who spoke english who told me that I needed to do a water treatment which might or might not work and then there would be additional charges depending on the issues. No statement about what they had done, any diagnostics they had run, whether they did any period. Then I was left with the non-english speaker. I do not believe they did anything except try to turn it on. Avoid them. No customer service, no caring. read more

My Galaxy S8+ had a broken screen and water damage so the phone would not power on at all. Compupod somehow was able to repair it enough to turn on so that I could get all of my data off of it! The phone (at the time of writing) is a newer phone so not many people know how to deal with repairing it, and if they do, it is very costly. I was very satisfied with the customer service and price here. I would highly recommend getting a quote from here if your phone breaks as most other places couldn't even provide me with a quote!!! read more

Another happy customer! I initially was going to bring my Pixel 3 with a cracked screen to a place (that I won't name) in the Inner Sunset. The proprietor didn't have my screen in stock nor did he trust that I knew the model of my own phone, even after I sent him pics of it and screenshots, as he requested. So he asked me to drive over to his store so he could confirm the model, then he'd order the screen, then I could come back to drop it off for repair. I thought, there's got to be a better way... Compupod had the screen in stock. They gave me a (better) price quote and (accurate) repair duration over the phone. It turned out it had been a mistake (the actual cost is $49), but they honored their first offer anyway. Thanks to Yelp, I found Compupod, which was the best deal of the 5 retailers I was recommended! They were one of the first to respond to my questions and the price they offered was 1/3 less than the 1 other company that actually had the part needed. Besides, being more affordable, their store was located in the same city that I live in, so it was way easier to go there and a whole lot closer than going to Palo Alto! When I dropped off my cell phone to get my cracked screen replaced, I was told it would take only from 2 to 2 1/2 hours to repair and sure enough, when I came back, my phone was as good as new! The staff were very nice too! I'd definitely reccomend this place to anyone who has a cracked cell phone screen! read more

Got my iPhone screen repaired. After the repair, I saw a sticker on repaired screen attached which said '25 percent off accessories'. So me and my parents picked couple of screen protectors and couple of phone cases and at checkout the guy said the 25 percent is off on only 1 accessory Even one of screen protector was badly applied and there was air bubble. The other was applied well Wouldn't recommend overall also - dubious wording on discount the sticker clearly said '25 percent off accessories'. Felt like a rip off but continued as not to trouble my parents with the whole selection process Service was ok except for that one screen protector case badly applied and charged full price read more

My phone was working like new for another year until I dropped it again onto the unforgiving concrete of a BART station - even though I had a screen protector on it didn't save my phone from getting cracked. Contacted them the same day and my phone was fixed in about 2 hours, and it's back to new again. I was able to get a free screen protector with my replacement, but the lady who put it on left air bubbles on the corners of my screen along with visible adhesive spots. Since i got it for free I can't really complain. I hope i don't have to get my phone replaced but if i do I'll definitely come back. read more

Great Pixel 3 XL repair. I paid $185 out the door including the Yelp discount, which was way cheaper than everyone else in the SF area. The cheapest I could find elsewhere was $250, so I'm really happy. Even though it was expensive to replace the screens glass after an unfortunate crack, I'm happy they had the part on hand and were able to get me in and out in less than 2 hours. I cracked my Moto G5 screen just before going overseas and frantically messaged basically every screen repair place in SF. Compupod replied so promptly and were wonderful. Side note: most other places in SF do not fix Moto G5 screens. Or if they do, they tell you to buy the parts and then bring them in for them to install. Compupod, on the other hand, told me to come in, fixed my phone, and had it back to me in a few hours. And it was waaay cheaper than the very few other places that would actually fix a Moto G5 Plus screen. The whole thing was so easy and pleasant, the repair was high quality, and they were also just really nice. I honestly can't recommend them enough. read more

I use to be a regular customer from time to time. Although the last time Hugo helped me, it was unpleaseant. The items that they sell feel cheap and not genuine quality. I wonder if Compupod has a legit products? Moveover they sell thier products atleast 8% - 10% increase; I price matched and like I said there are other places with better quality and better for your buck. I requested a quote for repair of my Galaxy S7 and got a fast response from Hugo. I went in the next day and they fixed my phone up while I waited on the couch in the back area of the sales floor and read a book. Ended up costing less than half the quoted price. Hugo and his assistant Alex were super friendly and knowledgeable, and now I know not to leave my phone on the wireless charger overnight because that's what caused the battery to swell up and pop the screen off. I will come here next time I need any phone repairs, and it looks like a good place for accessories as well, if I need another case or screen protector, etc. read more

I had my iPhone 6 plus screen replaced while visiting SF because it had shattered. It looked great when I got the phone and the guy that fixed it was really nice and only cost me $70. About two months later the screen stopped working. I didn't drop it or get it wet. Everything works except for the touch screen which is what was replaced. I took it to the Apple store and now have to get it replaced again so I think I'd recommend just doing that from the get-go. I hate to leave a bad review, but I wouldn't get my screen replaced here again. read more
