Compupod did for us what Apple wouldn't. Previously I'd taken our 7th Gen iPod Touch, with 256 gig memory to Apple to fix because the screen was unresponsive. Apple tried a few things without success and said it was the touch screen. However they would not or could not replace the screen. Their only remedy was to order a replacement for $129. But when I went back to their store to pickup the replacement, what they had was only 32 gig, or 1/8 of the memory, so I refused it. I searched for third-party places and most said they didn't do screen replacements for iPods. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to find Compupod and their reviews mentioned iPod. So I contacted them and Hugo told me they could probably fix my iPod Touch. We brought it in yesterday and the guy seemed quite knowledgeable and said they could replace the screen and it would be ready in 3 hours. About 2 hours and 30 minutes later we walked in and it was ready and working perfectly. Their charge: $84.99. I am so happy ! They did a great job. The staff at Compupod are great! I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max that died one night and wasn't charging or turning on after being plugged in overnight, so I took it to Apple on my lunch break and they said because the phone was dead they couldn't run any diagnostic tests on it, but that I probably needed a new logic board, which would cost $500 to replace (but they strongly urged me to just put the $500 towards buying a whole new phone). I took my phone to Compupod where they quoted $35 to run diagnostics, but that $35 can then be applied to whatever repairs you need. ALL MY PHONE NEEDED WAS A NEW SCREEN. Total for the new screen and a screen protector was about $100. I wish I had gotten the name of the gentleman who helped me because he was so nice and overall their customer service as well as technical service was top tier. These guys saved me $400-900 and I would definitely recommend them to any who asked! read more

This is my first time coming here. I needed a case and screen protector for my phone. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a woman who assisted me with what I needed. She also put the screen protector on for me and was quick so I didn't have to wait long. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she was absolutely sweet and professional. She complemented a picture of my late grandma that was on my phone screensaver and said she had a beautiful authentic smile, which she does. However just having her say that to me meant a lot and it made my day. I would absolutely be returning back, especially because the prices are way cheaper then Best Buy or other phone stores that I know of and it's convenient because its in the Mission, not to far from where I live. I came here because I had some complications with my bill with Simple mobile. I made a payment and for some reason it didn't go through on Simple's end. Hugo, the person at Compupod, called Simple to figure out the situation. Long story a bit shorter, Simple has horrible customer service. We were on the phone over an hour when I decided to repay on my phone just to get it working again. I told Hugo I repaid and had to leave. He stayed on the phone after I left for another hour and made sure I got credit for my double payment. He was also totally pleasant and friendly the whole time I was there, which was over an hour and a half. I just don't really see customer service like this anymore... ANYWHERE!! Both my Key Fobs stopped working. I knew it had to do with battery contact to the circuit board and knew it was a quick fix, but the dealership wanted to charge me $300 each for new ones. They don't repair them. I struggled with my alarm going off every time I opened my car door for a few months until I called a computer store. They referred me to a cellphone repair shop. I came in to repair my Nintendo 3Ds XL's analog stick. I was mortified that my childhood game console is beyond repair, but I was able to call and they said they could help me. I brought the console in and showed them the damage (broken analog stick with krazy glue residue). They had to order the part first, but once it has been received, I dropped off the console and it took 3 business days to be repaired. The sent me photos of the console prior to the repair process for my records through text. After the repair, the tech showed me that there was a scratch made from the repair due to having to get the krazy glue removed, but I was just happy that the 3Ds has been restored. We could not have asked for better service from the staff at Compupod. My friend & I are riding our bicycles down the California coast. My iPhone needed some charging port work and a new battery & my mate needed a new screen & screensaver. We were waiting when they opened the doors and we were on our way in about 2 hours. They even let us leave our bikes (& all our gear) inside towards the back of the store while we went for coffee/breakfast. Compupod is truly the best spot on Mission street for your tech gadget needs! This shop has a very distinct vibe, featuring a cool mural outside, awesome music, and friendly, vibrant employees. The first time I came in was for an iPhone repair, they had my phone ready in an hour and for a much cheaper price than Apple. They also offer a 90 day warranty for their repairs that makes it even better. In the store they also have really cool gadgets and accessories for sale, I recently bought an iPad here and I am very content with the service provided when trying to choose the best model. I went in after calling many places for an IPhone repair and possibly a replacement part. I didn't get the gentleman's name but he's young w/ long hair who assisted me and who politely answered my million questions. Lol Unlike many other repair shops, Compupod was able to clean my charging port at a cheaper rate (w/o damages) although if I had needed the replacement port it was cheaper there than around the block. All under 1 hour!! I'll definitely return . They can save my photos from a broken phone to transfer onto a new one!! Got my son's phone fixed here. His phone was cracked but nothing to major. not 48 hours after getting it fixed, he reached for his phone, it slid across the bleacher about 10 inches and the whole entire screen shattered. He never dropped it, never hit it, literally within arms reach, grabbed it and slid it to himself. The quality of glass they are using to replace the screens is absolutely horrible. Do not waste your money here. Every where else was almost double the price and I should have known you get what you pay for. So a waste of $110 dollars only to go now and pay to have it replaced again. Their products are terrible! read more

Great service and quick. Yolanda looked around for something I inquired about that I didn't think they carried, (they did not) but, she made the effort to check before saying no. I appreciate the extra time she took. I did buy a screen protector to replace one that I had previously purchased there, I have dropped my phone numerous times, face down and it doesn't have one scratch on the actual phone while the screen protector looked like it's been thru the mill....cracks, chips etc. Why theirs is the first screen protector to truly safeguard my screen is beyond me, but I'll be back to get the same one next time. read more
