Quickly gave me a price, and hung up. ***just to add to my review. I'm assuming the owner called me back. Called twice. I did hang up on him because of the way he called the 1st time. I was fortunate enough to have him leave me a voicemail where he mimicked me. For the sake of him, and since I'm and "uneducated person who can't speak right" I'll save you from posting a photo of a screen shot of my phone converting the voicemail to text! My poor iMac was slowing down and the cursor kept getting stuck. After I spent $75 on a new magic mouse, I realized the problem wasn't with my mouse but my computer. I can't praise Erin Brandt enough for the congenial, competent service she provided when on July 27, I had a Geek Squad appointment at the Best Buy Temecula, CA location. Like many people experiencing a technological problem, I was frustrated because I had been unable to email photos from my iPhone. I felt I needed personal attention because this was too complicated for a Geek Squad phone visit. (A similar problem had been resolved once before at a Geek Squad appointment.) Solving this problem was especially important to me because I love photography and was a professional portrait photographer at one time in my career. Now retired, I am currently part of a group throughout the US that posts weekly photographic emails on different themes. The review which I wrote in March was and remains accurate with details. For some reason, Jim decided last month to respond to it by painting a false and nonsensical picture. Why he waited four months to do this, I can only believe is because he has psychological issues. I believe that a normal individual would have called, explained that they had had a bad day or other situation, we would have chatted, and I would have removed or modified my review. But Jim makes things up and becomes threatening. I have archived the three belligerent messages which he left on my phone. I have also now passed this information to a detective with a local police department (who happens to be a neighbor) in the event that something where to happen. The proof of his false statements becomes evident when one listens to his calls and compares them to his written essay of July 18th. Maybe he was having another bad day. I remain grateful that he did flake out on us. He must be fine 90% of the time, but I would not want to be around for the other 10%. Be careful. read more

I had to then take them somewhere else to have them repair his repairs!! I have never had someone in my home for a repair that swore at me, used the F word and complained about his love life, even reading me part of a letter his ex had written him. After listening to him swear and constantly complain, I finally told him to stop working on the unfinished computers and to leave my home! At that point he had already been paid, but he really hadn't wanted to take a check from my business made out to his business? Although I have requested a receipt, to this date I have not received one. Over a year ago my 4tb expandable hard drive crashed. It was my complete archive of pictures, movies, and documents that I had collected over 20 years. Of course, my wife was frantic due to the possibility of losing pictures of the children and holiday home videos. I tried doing the FIY through google and couldn't get the thing to work. He called back and let me know that he had to send it to a 3rd party, but felt confident that it could be recovered. I work from home and my Dell XPS 9100 is everything for my business. Without it, I can't use all my tools for clients. I had a sys fan fail error and ordered a new power supply, because it failed last August. I called 5 companies and not one of them would come to my home, and I didn't want to take it to Best Buy and leave it. I called and spoke with Jim, and even though he was booked, he squeezed me in today and came out to fix my computer. It wasn't the fan on power supply at all, and I have three viruses on my computer, even though Malware Bytes Pro and McAfee runs on my PC ALL the time. He uninstalled those and installed a version I've never heard of before that Jim said was the best in the industry. It looks like I need a new, high-end video card, too. GOOD BYE BEST BUY and HELLO JIM!!! I took my PC to best buy almost 2 years ago and it din't have a major issue but it wasn't recognizing my mouse and all of my settings were not there. The people at best buy tried to talk me into purchasing a whole new PC and use the repair warranty on this PC after I was like WHAT?!! Buy a new computer so I can get a free diagnostic on this one? Are they Insane there. Anyways he made me feel like it was pointless to even look at it. He came to my house and looked at my computer at my house gave me a quote of $69 to repair it, and he through in a new mouse for me, he also took a free look at my dinosaur of a lap top for free. IHe kept his word and it costed me $69 to repair it and I also purchased an anti virus through him. I had it back the next day.
