I had requested that TV services be terminated in June 2022. I returned all of the cable equipment…read more(receivers/DVR) related to the TV service. The company started a new billing cycle on 1-8-2023 and informed me of the charges on 12-12-2023. They included a $78 fee for cable TV services and a $21 charge for TV broadcast fees. I told them that all of the equipment was returned so there should be no TV related charges. They insisted that because they offer TV streaming over the Internet that the charges were legitimate and that they must be paid in full. I refuse to pay for services/rentals/fees that were not rendered and they would not take any action to resolve. Clearly this is criminal in nature. You cannot bill someone knowingly that a service was not rendered and use a hypothetical reason that one "could" use their services over the Internet while refusing to remove the charges. This type of activity is really fit for a RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) lawsuit. I have filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General. The idea that they could force TV services without equipment to watch TV is absurd. The excuse that one "could" stream their content is absurd and they do not even care.

In a similar situation years ago, my husband gave Charter 'authorization' to let me change the account without his permission. We found out today, that the exception to that policy is 'password changing'. Really? And do I follow one step behind him as well? Considering I have ALL of the account information including four digit pin, address, zip, social security, etc., it is NOT a matter of protecting our account for security purposes. That's an insult to even use that as an excuse. They weren't helpful nor were they the least bit interested in resolving our issue. Due to a regulated industry, they continue to get away with horrible customer service and horrible policies. Deregulate them like the phone companies and things will change real fast. Calling Dish and Direct TV next!

I would not suggest these so called 'techs' to anyone…read more To start, I was having a situation with my computer that I myself ended up fixing and thank god for google and forums, cause if I would have listened to this so called 'tech' it would have ended up costing me money that didn't need to be spent. So my situation and experience with their so called 'advice'. I had an issue with my computer starting on the end of December 2017. Computer would randomly reboot, screen would go black, then boot back up within seconds without warning. So after tinkering with it, checking for blown capacitors, testing the PSU, my GPU, temperatures of everything, all of it was checking out well. So I decided to give the local Computer Shop a try and see if I could get a diagnostic ran. I never even got that far. I called the place, and immediately I was met with pretty rude welcoming. For a tech, listening to a problem is kind of important (Computer Engineering Tech major here) and the man on the line was always cutting me off when I'm trying to explain the symptoms of my problem. Now this is the part where it showed me he had no clue what he was talking about. As I finally mentioned to him what error I was getting in my logs, AMD Northbridge, as soon as I said those words, the response I get is in these words "Oh! You're done friend. It's over. AMD is shit, it's why I only sell Intel products." ^^This response here, this is not something you say as a tech. For one, there was no clear evidence to support that it was the motherboard, no tests were ran, so to say this was crazy, but further more, he just assumed because it was a brand that he wasn't all for, it HAD to be just that. That is an opinion, a biased opinion that he wanted to perpetuate to say that was the culprit. Just because it wasn't Intel. But then it gets better! My desktop is not a typical work desktop, it's a gaming rig. So as he's going on about how AMD is 'shit' (And what kind of business talks to potential new customers that way?), I tell him it's a gaming computer and after all that tells me, sorry, we can't work on those since they are tuned stronger. Ladies and gentlemen, the telltale sign if there wasn't one already of someone who has no clue what they are talking about. A gaming PC may run more powerful, but a PC is a PC. It has a motherboard, a GPU or on board graphics, a Power Supply Unit, Memory or RAM, there is no difference but in how much power it puts out from said parts. A gaming PC is still a PC. I come to find out, in doing my own research and fiddling, where he was telling me to get a new motherboard cause AMD is 'shit', the problem wasn't hardware, it was a software update that Microsoft had put out around the same time my computer started randomly rebooting once a day. Their update did something, along with many other AMD users, to cause a hiccup in the board's 'thinking' and tricked it into a hard reset. The fix was literally one click of a button and now, two days later, not one reboot. So for anyone thinking to spend their hard earned money on garbage tech's such as this, save it. Go to Geek Squad cause this shop in Port Clinton, these people don't know what they are talking about. I fear how many people they have misinformed and made these people spend their hard earned money on a problem that was potentially not even there or true! When you say things based off a brand and bias, and assume that's the problem, because of a BRAND, that's bad bad work. I do not suggest these so called 'techs.'

I called the owner Joey one day because I needed a computer built. I just came into some money…read morewhere I had the ability to spend around $1500 and I told him straight up I needed to stay in that range...he didn't hesitate and responded back IMMEDIATELY. He was able to get me a quote for parts and labor, and let me know when he would have it done and that made me so happy.. I don't like to wait for orders online but he let me know he had some extra parts around that he was willing to throw into the deal.. and ultimately because I was so happy with his response time I was willing to pay him a little more. Since then I've been back to Joey and upgraded my machine with him and he even HELPED ME sell my old parts and replace them with the upgrades. He is extremely knowledgable, personable, we honestly spent more time talking and nerding out than anything. Great guy and does his thing well. I've even seen his setup first hand and I was impressed. Anyone reading this.. Go to him. World Class Computers is amazing.

I use Linux Ubuntu, not every business' cup of tea. Joey contacted me within a day of my email query and we agreed on a date very soon thereafter. I was absolutely delighted with his work. He was fast, efficient and fearless about updating and bringing the desktop up to speed and getting the printer to relate to it. All this and just a great guy as well. I highly recommend him on all counts!
