Very happy with the service I experienced here. With the Apple store in our area with limited service appointments, I decided to come here to get my MacBook Air's battery replaced. I was able to get an appointment through the Apple website since ComputerDNA is an approved servicer of Apple products. I brought my laptop in and was told that it was taking about a week for repairs. However, since my laptop only needed a battery replaced and they had it in stock, they were able to replace it in 15 minutes! Good experience overall. One star deducted because they are on the expensive side. read more

My phone had water damage so I first tried repairs at Best Buy and apple (iPhone) Wait times at Best Buy and apple store were about 1-2 hours total and I had to set up appointment times far in advance. I was seen here right away no wait and they offered a free attempt at fixing my phone. Unfortunately water Damage was too severe but I was charged 0$ For all Mac needs I would seriously consider coming here before the apple store and saving yourself a lot of time read more

We took my wife's Mac Book Pro to computerDNA after it fell to the floor at her place of work. It would not start up. KTC's Genius Bar recommended them. Genius Bar told us all we needed was a new hard drive, computerDNA could get our data off the bad one (hopefully) and that the Genius Bar could put the OS onto the repaired laptop for free if computerDNA wanted to charge us for this. computerDNA did NOT charge us to put on the operating system. They also saved our data (420GB for $50) and put it onto our newly installed drive. They even took it upon themselves to save our Microsoft Office and download browsers onto our laptop. All this for less than $300 including tax and in just a few days. We were very relieved as we couldn't afford to replace it. And the only difference for us before and after this accident? I went to Apple and waited for an hour only for them to tell me it would be $475 to fix my screen, would take 5-7 business days and tried to convince me to buy a new computer instead. I have Apple Care+ for my Macbook Pro and wanted to use a local vendor to replace the defective battery. Despite having an appointment and a still-operating computer. computerDNA requires they keep my laptop while waiting for the part. This makes the time without my otherwise functioning the computer equivalent to mailing to Apple. So, with such draconian policies, I recommend finding a different provider. read more

I did some work with Computer DNA a few years ago when my Mac Book Pro was having some issue with the display. They were able to fix it in less time than the Apple Store quoted and it was covered under Apple's warranty. Additionally, I called them today inquiring about Hard Drive upgrades and they were willing to talk with me about my options and actually made recommendations that were less expensive and better suited for my needs. We also talked other genearl Apple questions not related HD upgrade. Super helpful and I would recommend them to anyone who has an older system out of warranty or people who dont want to deal with the hassle of going to an Apple store. Additional note is that they are an Apple Authorized computer repair company so they can do the work and it wont void the warranties! read more

I took my macbook here because the Mac Store was closed due to COVID. They told me that I need to replace my computer screen. After a week, they called me and told me that when they plugged in the new screen, it didn't work and that I needed to replace my logic board. That would be too costly so I opted not to fix my computer. ComputerDNA charged me approximately $110 for the diagnostics. After I got my computer back, I did some research and on a forum, someone tells me put a flashlight behind the screen on the apple logo. It turns out that my macbook screen was just fine and that it was my backlight circuit. This took literally 2 secs to do, which the computerDNA could of done before they started to order parts and replacing screens, etc. They didn't even diagnosis the right problem and charge me $110 and it took more than a week to get my computer back. Customers beware of this place. Expensive and incompetent! read more

They couldn't save my Mac from my cataclysmic beer spill, but they were able to save my data! Worth every penny. And there weren't that many of them. FWIW, they actually did offer to save my Mac, but it was just cheaper to buy a new one. They transferred all my data over, and it's like I have the exact same computer still. I recently took my iMac here because I could not get past the start up screen without getting a color wheel. It turns out that my computer software version was out of date. That was the only issue with my computer and they still charged me $100 to press the update button. I feel like they could have called to discuss options rather than charge someone $100 to fix an easy problem. Plugging into another device and starting up to that (to update) can be done at home by anyone. This was the second computer I've taken for cleaning up and I expected to hear that they had done more with this iMac just like my macbook in the past, but it turns out that only updating software can cost you $100. I've also purchased a macbook battery and charger here in the past and always considered this the place I will go to for Mac problems. But I do not feel that way anymore. I had a wonderful experience at Computer DNA. I have been trying to get my computer speed up to something faster than a snail's pace for the last six years. I had placed many calls to Apple and had been to Apple's Genius Bar three to four times. I didn't think there were so many excuses why a computer went from fast to slow. I am pretty stupid when it comes to computers but not as stupid as the excuses I heard. Six years I wasted time and patience with Apple's Genius'. My son recommended COMPUTER DNA. Vic and his crew fixed me up in less than one day. I am so happy to enjoy using my computer. I am soooooooo happy that I will never have to call Apple or go into one of It's stores again. I paid $160.00 for the service and I think I got off really cheep. I paid Apple nothing for their help and I still think that was way too much to have paid for their involvement and frustration. Six freak'n years of nothing with Apple. My computer is so fast now that I had to chain it to my desk lest it run away from me. read more
