I had a good experience with AppleRx shop. To say it in more detail it all started with liquid damage to keyboard few buttons weren't working i was still using it by using virtual keyboard I started fixing it after seeing some of the youtube videos ordered a new keyboard from Ebay but it somehow damaged my display port as well it seems the keyboard keys didn't improve most of the same buttons weren't working. I could able to work with external monitor i used my smart tv to check that out.I felt so bad since I mad it so worse. I took to Apple store they told it will take $720 to fix it entire motherboard as it has liquid damage also took to uBreakIfix they couldn't fix it as well as they told we can't fix as it has liquid damage. So I lost hope I was using it without any issue since mid 2010 as recently it all started with liquid damage I took to Apple RX he checked and told same initially that we can't fix it as the liquid damage may be the cause for display as well which was working fine till I tried to fix keyboard. I went to pick laptop Apple Rx expert was saying its due to liquid damage and when you tried to fix keyboard you could have messed up the board as they are some circuits that short circuits display while explaining it directly on keyboard he could get the display accidentally so he told I can try to fix it as it seems like a known issue and also he assured I will try to get the keyboard as well fixed. I was not confident about the keyboard fix although I thought display could be fixed after he kept the pin on the soldering of the board close to display port it worked for that moment alone.He told you can pay for keyboard only after I fix and he was ready to fix it for good deal :-) . As mentioned my keyboard and display worked he fixed it well - so awesome but some issue with power port it was not getting charged new issue and then he fixed that as well later had issue with wifi not detecting (new issue) he tried to fix it at mother board level couldn't fix so was able to make it work using usb wifi adapter - he didn't charge anything to fix new issues, also my optical DVD drive was not working (new issue) he mentioned he found a burnt on the motherboard that might be the cause for optical and wifi issue. I thought of buying external optical drive if needed as nowadays we are not using it often because of portable USB drives. I had a small incident when accidentally I dropped laptop so the display had crack in the mirror thank God still display works fine but even outside and edges damaged with dent he fixed mirror and dent corners as well for a good deal again. After lot of struggle now I could use my laptop as before If I think for past five years no issue but now recently one after the other in between I purchased new Macbook pro as well as I couldn't go for Windows laptop even though Macbook pro costs more. Overall I had good experience with Apple Rx so far. So I will surely recommend Apple Rx unless you want to get it fixed with Apple retailer or Apple stores for much higher price. I apologize for the long review but thought of sharing my experience with you all hope it will be helpful. read more

The craigslist & eBay comments don't bother me. Who cares how they sell their merchandise? Half the sellers on both of those mediums are businesses anyways. I took my iMac in for repairs of what I thought was a broken fan motor. My mac heated up a LOT fairly quickly & from my research it seemed like a fan motor. 5 yr old computer. I took it in on a Sat morning hoping to get a same day turnaround like the guy said. Although it was a little frustrating that I never got a call on Sat, Sun, or Mon, it did work out well in the end. I called each of those days checking on the status & they told me they were still doing diagnostics. When they finally proactively called me on Tues to tell me it was done I grilled him about charges which he assured me there were none. Turns out my computer was just extremely dusty. The offer a free diagnostic & since they had it open he decided to blow it out for free. Really easy he said. No charge! He said they've had it hooked up & running for 12 hours now & told me to feel how hot it now wasn't. It was great! For the repairs they treated me more than fairly and fixed the problem without trying to scam me! They get 5 stars in my book. read more

The owner helped us make a selection based on our needs and we are now the proud owners of a 2010 in AMAZING shape. We have had questions after the sale that they have answered for us, for free, in a very speedy manner. Because they were so great to us, my husband recently took his 2009 Toshiba laptop in to them because it had been operating very slowly. Within one day, the staff pin pointed the problem, called us back with a quote, and serviced it. We felt the pricing was very fair and saved us from getting rid of a perfectly fine computer. I'm a visitor from London, UK. Came to visit my childhood friend during summer holiday and accidentally dropped my 2014 MacBook Air in the pool. When I got to Apple Store and they said it's not covered under their warranty, or they can put the new motherboard for $450 plus it might take up to 7 days but also I'll be loosing all my data. Fortunately, friend of mine took me to this place. I have to say, this place was more helpful and knowledgeable then Apple store and sorted out my problem in professional way. Absolutely wonderful experience! Very helpful. I brought in two old macbooks (one of which i still use but had a broken touch pad). They exchanged my broken touch pad for my good one in my old computer, and went above and beyond by also checking my battery and exchanging that too for minimal cost. When I received it back, I found that they had cleaned my entire computer--looks like new! I highly recommend this place over going to the apple store. read more

I came in with my macbook pro that had a broken hinge on the screen. I didn't think it was going to be cheap because another place said it could cost anywhere between $100-$600 to fix, which A. wasn't worth it and B. a very broad quote. AppleRx computer shop quickly told me it was fixable and gave me a quote of $80 with parts. It was done quickly and efficiently and I am grateful they were able to help me out! This is a very reputable group. They will look at your computer for the small sum of $29.95 (which is much cheaper than anywhere else.) They will apply it to the repair if a repair can be done. If it can't be fixed they will give you a credit that you can apply to a purchase. My MacAir could not be fixed and they recycled it, gave me back my data and gave me a credit. My computers worked perfectly after those spills because I was able to do a cleaning of them all those months ago. Their forced cleaning of my computers didn't resolve my issue at all because my actual issue was electrical issues we had been having in our home, and if they had asked me what problem I was having with them in the first place they would have known this and could have earned their money legitimately instead of scamming me for it. I ended up having to pay them $150 just to get my computers back with the same exact problem. The issue wasn't with them at all but was with the monitors. If they had spoken with me we could have figured this out before this unneeded cleaning service was forced upon me to pay for. I signed up for a free diagnostic and then he called to tell me I owe $69.99 per computer. What a scam! The front desk gentleman is very nice, but the actual repairman is a scammer. They also won't refund me the money! So now I have to buy new monitors which is more than $150 on top of the forced cleaning fees! Unbelievable! This is shady business and they shouldn't be allowed to keep scamming people. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought this was only a misunderstanding, I reached out very kindly to explain all of this and ask for my money back. They only ignore me like I don't exist anymore. Of course, because he knows he scammed me!
