I was recently referred to Apple Rx by the ATT store at Waterstone Plaza. My Apple watch band needed replacing. It had been on there for 4-5 years and was encrusted with sweat/sunscreen. The old band would not come off. This can be a problem with Apple watch bands. I took it to Apple RX in Landen OH. They were able to finally depress the lock button on back of watch. Then, they worked to get the old band slid off, cleaned off the band slots. This was done all while I was waiting. I am grateful for their excellent work and for the referall from ATT store. After using UbreakIfix on my IPHONE 7plus two times, I will now be going here for all my repairs. UBREAK told me it needed a new port and battery last year. They replaced both and cost me $129. Long story short my IPHONE went dead after one year of them working on it. I took it back and they told me the same story and it wasn't under warranty anymore. So they wanted to charge me again to replace all these things. AppleRX popped it open in 20 minutes and did diagnostics on it. Low and behold it was a bad battery. He replaced it in 15 minutes and had me out the door for $50!!! So happy with the tech and my customer service. Not happy with the other people. I have read all the reviews and it saddens me to see some of the negative reviews and outright hatred displayed.   I am sorry some folks had a bad experience. I am not an Apple computer user, but use their iPad and iPhone exclusively. Last week I had a nasty trip and fall in my driveway, tripping and doing a full-face plant.  My neighbor was outside mowing his lawn and he immediately called an ambulance once he saw all the blood flowing from my face. I ended up being taken via ambulance to the hospital where after regaining consciousness I ended up with over 30 stiches in my face, nose, and a broken nose in several places. My iPhone was in my pocket at the time of my fall, and the screen was destroyed but the phone was still functional, although many of the items were unreadable.  Due to the severity of my injuries, I was given a head CT scan to check for a brain bleed and a chest x-ray, and as luck would have it, they also found a lump in my lung, which might prove to be cancerous (I have never smoked in my life). Having a functional phone was now a matter of life and death, as I had to make follow up appointments and needed to schedule a biopsy for my lung mass. This all happened last Wednesday the 14th. I considered simply buying a new phone (I have an older trusty iPhone model 6, which is perfect size wise for me and all the functionality I require), but instead opted to order a new screen and install it myself. I had previously installed a high-capacity battery with no problems after watching YouTube about 20 times and working carefully, step by step. Well as luck would have it, there was more damage to the interior of the phone (home button and audio cable) and due to my injury, I was having difficulty seeing clearly. Thus, I opted to try and find a local repair shop or just buy a new (used) phone, something I really did not want to do or could afford at this time. I came across Apple RX, and after reading some of the negative reviews was a bit apprehensive but felt worst case scenario, I would just get a new (used) phone if mine was not able to be repaired.  I went there this morning about 10:00 AM, and with my broken phone and various parts and screws, organized and separated into ziplocs, I asked if it could be made functional again.  The owner looked it over and within a few moments had my new screen installed, along with the replacement cables and a screen saver, all of which he did not charge me for.  The phone turned on and works perfectly.  The home button being generic does not recognize my fingerprint, but that is a minor inconvenience considering all that was done. Please read all the reviews and come to your own conclusions.  Following my repair, I was able to schedule the follow up appointments necessary for my well-being. Mobile phones have become a necessity in these times, and it is reassuring there is someplace I can trust for a fair and high-quality repair.  If I could, I would give six stars to help offset some of the negative reviews.  Thank you for all your help.  I sincerely appreciated it. read more

I just had an unpleasant experience here. AppleRx apparently sell on craigslist and ebay because I found a Mac Pro I wanted on Craigslist and negotiated a price via email and received an address for pickup. No mention that he was a business. When I get to the address I see that it is AppleRx and go inside to see the computer. They have one Mac Pro in the shop and it's not the one I made the offer on. It's a year older with less ram and no wifi card. I felt like I had been baited into the shop but fortunately I do my research and recognized that the Mac was not as described (if you didn't know Mac Pros didn't change visually for about 4 years). You gotta now the specs I had to tell owner that it was a 2009 and not a 2010 as he was advertising on craigslist. I do not recommend this business read more

I brought my 2011 IMac in for an upgrade to a SSD and the max on RAM. They took good care of me, went over what they thought would be the best route to take and had it all done in one day. They transferred my data for me and upgraded everything to the latest the system would take. All I can say is the thing starts up in about 2 seconds and anything I click on opens immediately. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. read more

These gentlemen are great! They brought my Macbook Pro back to life and gave me a terrific deal! Even issues that I didn't directly tell them about were fixed when I picked my laptop up- and there weren't any surprise charges added to my bill! They took everything apart right there in front of me and showed me my computer's insides when I went in for a FREE diagnostic, and pointed out to me exactly where my problems were, which made me feel very comfortable with both their knowledge about what they were doing and the honesty of their business practices. I had my screen fixed and it wasn't attached all the way. I'm sure it wasn't OEM as promised and it completely shattered due to the faulty installation a few weeks later. I didn't bother to take it back. Also when I went to pick it up the price was $10 higher than I was quoted (quoted $130 plus tax and paid $149). I brought my iMac in for what I thought was a faulty video card and the joker tells me it was the hard drive. They then fix it without quoting me a price. After they tell me I have to pay for the hard drive I am upset but they said it was fixed. 15 minutes later they call back and tell me a faulty video card. I picked up my machine 10 minutes later. Incompetent. The Mac won't even boot up now. read more

Came in extremely upset last week after I had spilled coffee all over my new MacBook Air laptop. They fixed the computer for me in under 4 hours and it is now perfect! I understand the concerns of the past reviews about AppleRX because I had my doubts too but of the 3 reviews only one person was a paying customer. However, I am a recent purchaser of AppleRx and I was in need of a Macbook Pro laptop and decided to trade-in my iMac 2012 and iPad Mini for the only Macbook Pro that they had left which was the '09 Macbook Pro. I expressed concern about the downgrade of my computer to this '09 laptop and the owner understood and worked out a deal. He completely updated the hard-drive, extended the warranty and mirrored my old computer to the new one. I explained to him that I run a lot of Adobe programs off this computer and he upgraded my memory for only $50. I walked out the store only paying $50 and a laptop that had all of my old computer programs on it. So far the computer has been running smoothly. I wish it was a 2011 or 2012 but I'm not complaining because it's running like a new computer with the current OS system on it. I am life-long apple consumer. I've owned a e-Mac, i-Mac, 2nd and 4th generation i-Pod, i-Pad, iPhones 4,5s and 6+ and this is now my second macbook pro. Apple products are expensive but a wise investment. The OWNER and the technicians of AppleRx are fully knowledgable in programming and updating Apples and their prices are reasonable. AppleRX is a small business and they really value the opinion of customers reviews. I've had no complaints and just recently brought my '07 Macbook Pro to be fixed; it had completely stopped working. They upgraded the hard drive and memory and put in a new battery all for $180, If I had went to the Apple store or Elon I would have paid more. Any company big or small will have its mistakes along the way but a company can only improve based on the feedback that it receives. I can tell by the service that I and mom received at AppleRX that they valued our business. Corporate companies and chains who focus on meeting profitability my not put a lot of empathy into customer reviews and opinions because their in business either way. Whereas, small or family owned businesses rely on customer feedback in order to remain in business. I encourage people to give small businesses a chance, if you have concerns or questions speak to the manager and let them know and write your own review of your experience but don't immediately write a negative review of a company if you haven't done business with them at all. If small business go out of business we'll be at the mercy of corporate chains spending a lot more money. read more

My MacBook Pro had a broken screen. The glass cracked after being dropped, but the LCD portion was fine. Every other shop in the city said they have to replace the LCD along with the glass. One place even said they have to do the entire "clam shell assembly." The cheapest quote I received was $500. I took it to AppleRX and they replaced the glass without messing with the LCD for $120 on the same day and in less time than anticipated. It is like new. I can't speak to the negative reviews, but my experience could not have been better. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I would most definitely do business with them again. read more

I was very well served by AppleRX! My need was to repair my Dell XPS 13 trackpad which intermittently failed to left or right click when depressing it. I also asked him to replace three backplate screws whose heads I previously stripped upgrading the SSD. The next day he reported that he was unable to extract the screws (no one else I talked to wanted to even try!), but noticed the battery had swelled which impacted the operation of the trackpad. I immediately located a new battery at Microcenter and returned to AppleRX for installation which he did immediately right in front of me on the counter. I was impressed - his candid response on not being able to extract the screws indicated an honest character, and he quickly replaced the battery which fixed the trackpad. After all this he did not charge me for consultation, diagnosis, or replacing the battery. I left a very happy customer, a desire to use his expertise in the future when I need it, and intent to ensure others of a honest and skilled computer technician and small local business with integrity. read more

Absolutely disgusting how you've treated me as a customer, I bought a 'working' MacBook from you that arrived broken, after you offered a replacement I sent back the item to you and then the replacement had the exact same issue. I have attempted to contact you numerous times to no reply. I finally raised a claim through Paypal, to whom you replied to. They have managed to get the refurnd out of you however I am now responsible for the costs of postage of a SECOND Macbook pro to the US from the UK! And you still don't reply! Great service from staff; exceptionally quick with retrieving accessories needed for product and applying them! Took less than 30 minutes to fix cracked screen. Staff very willing to explain any and all questions for customers to better understand what they'll be doing with the product.
