Ken has long been our go-to person for computer repairs or when we needed a new one but I never knew he would come to our rescue in another way. My high school senior was floundering in a Virtual High School computer science class and we just didn't know where to turn for help. I took a chance and called Ken hoping he might know of a tutor for her. He listened to my problem and said "Absolutely, I can help." That very afternoon he sent George to our home and my daughter was on the road to recovery. George helped her go from almost failing to a B by the end of the first making period. The goal is an A by the time the second marking period ends. But most important to me is that the tears have dried and my daughter is smiling again. I took my Dell professional E5000 for a variety of issues. Ken recommended a solid state HD and a few other things. The think I like about this place is that 9 out of 10 computer stores get it wrong and his is the tenth and got it right. I am so happy with my machine after several months and can't credit them enough The service was don in one afternoon and it came back with every single file, program and data installed. I lost nothing and now the machine boots faster than anything. I love it, their service and technicians. Our dell tower suddenly locked up and would not allow login. Not knowing what to do I asked one of my peers at work and was told that she had taken her and her son's laptops to a local shop in Pompton Lakes, NJ. She said that Ken Freedman at Computrs, Inc is a great guy, honest, fairly priced, timely, knows what he is doing, etc. I then called and spoke to Ken said who bring it in and we will repair it. The day after dropping it off, Ken called and said that it was all set for pickup. I have been with Computrs. Inc for 14 years now and have never, not once, been disappointed. Ken's company is all about personal service. Their service is high quality and my expectations are always met. From the first phone call to the finished product - service is SUPERB! Also, there have been times when it was easy to drop the computer off at the shop, however, most times I cannot. Home service is prompt and remote online service is also amazing. Obscenely overcharged and then came in to my store demanding payment, so I had to report to the local police. We called Ken asked to please negotiate a fair price and promised he would consider it if I got comparable estimates. I got three estimates of about 500.00 less then his price. Never responded to my emails. When I finally emailed the third time, Ken responded that I call his lawyer, which I did and the lawyer did not want to get involved. My son's laptop died while at college. He went to Apple Repair and they said it would cost a minimum of $700 to open it up and replace the hard drive (more if they found other problems)... they said it has water damage??!! Ken and his team fixed it within 24 hours for less than half. He retrieved all of the information, found that the hard drive did not need to be replaced and fixed it so my son could return to college with his laptop... working perfectly. Less than one star. Had two run ins with this guy Ken over the years and both times the transaction was a disaster. I would have never went back but didn't realize it was the same guy over the phone since he moved. Terrible and dishonest business practice, menacing presence, (the police had to be called because we felt threatened) and over charges with no estimates in advance, Clearly something is not right, stay far away and do not take or leave your computer with this guy Ken. Recently my computer crashed. I had called Computrs Inc. They sent a technician to my office within a few hours. They worked on the computer for a couple of hours and I was up an running. I also bought a used laptop from them a couple of years ago for $250. I work the hell out of this computer and it is still working extremely well. Today my PC gave me a problem. I brought it to them and within minutes it was up an running. No Charge. What a fantastic company. I would recommend them anytime. read more

Ken, the owner of Computrs, came highly recommended to me by two friends who have used his services multiple times over the years for their computers. I'd suffered what was to me a catastrophic laptop failure and I brought my machine in to him. Within a very short time he had identified a hardware problem that was contributing to my issues. Wow Ken never cease to amaze me. I called 3 days before Christmas and indicated I had a problem with my modem. He sent Jessy out right away. Jessy spent about a hour and was able to fix it. Problem resolved. 2nd time I have use Computrs, they are terrific, always ready to service there clients. I do need to let you know, they are pricey, If you need it, want it your going to pay and I can say rightfully so. That is why I gave them a 4 star rating, But it should be a 5. I bought computer parts for my new project and the service couldn't be better. On Christmas eve he stayed open later so we could get the parts. After receiving the parts, he asked if I would like him and his employees to teach me how to build it(this was my first time building a computer). I worked with Jesse and Mario. I recently had some corrupted files on my Microsoft Outlook . Ken and his tech Jesse are both very competent , courteous and prompt in their response . Further , Ken made a good recommendation to replace by older hard drive with a new Solid State drive which , though a bit pricey , I am glad I did . Now my laptop boots up in a fraction of the time it used to take . Overall , they are very good and do a pretty good job . I now postponed buying a new laptop . read more

Dealt with this business twice- a couple of years ago they removed a virus from my computer after Staples charged $150 or so and it came back a few days later- Ken cleaned it out and we never had a problem since. We just bought a new computer from them- they were price competitive, set it up for us, transferred all the data from our old machine and showed us how to work the new one. Apple Repaired and very pleased I had a major issue with my MAC. I was so concerned about losing all my information. I call the Apple Store but they couldnt fix it since it was older than 5 years. Theses guys in Pompton Lakes told me to bring it right in. I didnt need an appointment. I got it back in 1 day too. They saved all my data and updated my OS to the highest my older MAC could take.
