I believe it's called Carson RV Resort now. We had a monthly stay here this summer and had a great experience. We stayed with 2 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 medium size dog. They were very accommodating with our schedule. Had a small dog park with really grass. Laundry service was kept clean. All the sites were clean and a little roomy. Gated which is a plus. In a good location south of the city. Would highly recommend. read more

Carson RV Resort was a lifesaver during our evacuation from the Davis Fire. They were incredibly accommodating with flexible timelines and generous discounts. The staff was warm and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. The location is perfect--close to restaurants, grocery stores, Target, Walmart, and Home Depot, which made it easy to get everything we needed on short notice. The park itself is new (looks like it was completely renovated), clean, and well-kept all around. I travel quite a bit for work and their bathrooms easily rival a decent hotel for cleanliness and comfort. The park felt safe and secure, our fellow RVers were friendly and the proximity to Lake Tahoe for a vacationer would be ideal. We couldn't have asked for a better spot as a safe place to escape a wildfire emergency and it could easily double as a perfect weekend getaway. This resort won't disappoint! read more

So we checked into this place, and the young lady at the counter specifically told me we could pull in either direction to our spot. Since the obvious direction would in no way allow our rig to be level, we pulled in the opposite direction. We put the slide-out out, hooked everything up, and thought we were all set up. So imagine my surprise when this guy shows up at the pool where we finally were relaxing. He says we need to get out of the pool, dry off, unplug everything, pull the slide out in and turn our rig around because, "all of the people checking in will want to do the same, and it's against the rules". Rather than argue, we did as he requested even tho the clerk had specifically said it was OK. I want to know why this rule couldn't be overlooked one time when I didn't see another rig check in after us, not one. Also, in their rulebook, they said no rigs allowed over, I think, 12 years old. There were at least two that I saw older than that by far with the boards shoved up against the tires and junk piled around them. Really disappointing. Aside from this, our view was the back of Costco, and we were mere feet from the rig's sewer system next to us. There was not one shred of grass, no picnic table, and the miniature dog run, which actually did have green grass and was quite nice was on the other side of the park. I do have to say the pool and Jacuzzi were very nice and clean. Even though the guy made us get out to move our rig. Never ever will we stay here again. read more

Wow! we arived at 3:40, office was closed,emergency number had full mailbox so we could not leave a message. We parked in a vacant spot and several hours later were told by "Kelly" that we had no reservation and were "trespassing" and to leave right now or she would call the police. This was a last minute reservation since the place we'd been expecting to stay was full. The manager at the park was kind and understanding. She found us a nice site that was surprisingly quiet given the park's location. The laundry room and bathrooms are spotless. And they're in the process of moving to a much larger lot behind where they are now. I consider this place an untapped gem and I'm glad we ended up here. read more

It was a place to camp for the night. Patricia in the office was pleasant and helpful, showers were clean and roomy, and the site was level. Internet access is very important to us when we're traveling, and the internet here was terrible--1-2 bars the entire 2 days-- and we were close to the office where the antenna was located. The only way to get usable internet was to sit on a bench outside the office (in 35°weather with 15 mph winds). There was a sign above the bench specifically pointing out that it was usable for internet access! I had to use my cell service for all searches, emails, and texts. read more

Management is unfriendly & incredibly rude After having reservations for nearly a year & giving them measurements for the size of the trailer i arrived after traveling across country for them to have no spot for me. Then I was trying to get them to accommodate me for 2 days the manager tries to intimate me asks me if I need to be escorted out . Don't stay here! We booked our stay and when we showed up they had no spaces to accommodate our rig. We were promised a refund of $160 to our credit card by Maddie ( their desk clerk) and the refund was never processed. After at least four more calls, we also spoke to Patricia who sent us a refund receipt but who also did not process the credit to our card. We have tried multiple times to get this refund and still no resolution....they apparently are really not interested in taking care of their customers. We go to Carson City multiple times a year and will never stay at this park again! Beware! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! They allow extreme noise from generators before 7:00am. You can't reach the management until 9:00am. All I got was a lecture on how an empty RV's needed to have it's roof power washed. Because I complained of being awoken at 6:20am, I was told I hope your RV never needed anything because they come when they can. Ridiculous booking policy. Phoned to make a reservation for next month, and were told that "the owners won't open the reservation book." She said to phone the day before to try to make a reservation! Now, we are hauling a 31-foot fifth wheeler across the country. We can't just wander around the highways, hoping for the best. We cannot stop on a dime, or make a U-turn and go somewhere else. So we've stayed for awhile now and everything has been just fine up until we 5£+ meet him, he seems to be . the same....mean, disrespectful, condescending, unreasonable, greedy, unfeeling, and just downright hateful. After having a somewhat heated discussion with him, I wondered out loud how he ever kept friends with a personality like his. He informed that he had no friends and didn't want any...ever. He told me the only people he ever wants to know are the kind that give him money. That explains the permanent sour expression on his face. The sad part is that this RV park is nice but he ruins the whole experience. Good luck steering clear of him too. He putts around on his golf cart just at dusk every night looking for things he can come and tell you off about the next day. We actually watched him go to several RVs within our sight and verbally assault people for the strangest little things. Too many camping chairs near your RV, your potted plants look dead, tv is too loud, your vehicle is sticking out one foot to far, etc. Its not so much what his complaints are; its his horrible approach to people. On one particular evening, while yelling loudly at an older couple in a huge diesel rig, they actually packed up and left. They started to pack up outside belongings while he was still there carrying on! As this is apparently his regular way if conducting himself, it makes me wonder how he even stays in business at all! read more

The owner of this property is probably the most self-serving and greedy man I have ever met. He charges top dollar then charges MORE for a bathroom key (monthly), parking (monthly) refuses to keep the jacuzzi open year-round (paid for by his renters)...the list goes on. This clown actually states that his daddy taught him that if he isn't making a buck off of you, then he's doing something wrong. Tell you something...my daddy taught me that if someone is making excess dollars off of me, then I am making the mistake. HINT!!! When we stayed here 2 years ago, we received a nice welcome from the staff. We were only there for 3 nights. We stayed at site #29. Staff knew we were newbies and someone escorted us and guided us in. There's nothing special about the place, but we found it spacious, quiet, windy and dusty. The pool was clean and the location is a walking distance to shops. The Children's Museum is located downtown and worth a visit if you have little ones. read more

This Rv Park is nice because it is located next to a park, dog park, Costco, and the highway. Other then that.... don't expect very much. There is no grass, off leash dog area, garbage pickup, or maintenance people that can help with maintenance issues. There are a lot of full time people that stay here. There is not a age limit or condition requirement to rigs that stay here. People have been parked here so long their tires were rotted out. One guy had so many animals ( birds and cats.) Also if you plan on staying in the summer months, be prepared for an outrageous electric bill. During July and August our bill was 160-$180!! They do an additional mark up per kilowatt used. Also be prepared to smell garbage that is over flowing, dog poop that doesn't get picked up, and dog poop bins that don't get emptied. We are full time Rv'ers and this has been my least favorite place we have ever stayed. read more

This place is just OK. There are a lot of permanent residents with older RV's. The trash is over flowing every week with flies everywhere. No one picks up after their dogs!! There is poop everywhere here. I have been here a week and the maintenance staff has not emptied the dog poo trash. There have been homeless sleeping in the back lot behind the park. You can only access the laundry from 8:30 to 6pm $2.50 to wash and $1.00 to dry. There are lots of trees witch is really nice for shade. Spaces are kinda close but not to bad. There is a nice park within walking distance and a nice clean casino across the street. Location is great with easy access to hwy50, 395 and I580. **Update: I have been here for 3 months and the above is still accurate. Just wanted to add the staff at first is friendly and helpful but if there is a problem with anything in the park and you bring it to the staffs attention you will be yelled at. I was not getting my mail and boxes where being sent back refused. I questioned why and was yelled at by the elderly women behind the counter. Shocking behavior!! No way to treat a paying customer. If you can, find a different rv park. read more

Older park located on a hill. Was graciously greeted and escorted to my site. Water pressure can be high and electric was low at 108 volts. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Excellent access to the highways. Beware. They do not give refunds. The post a sign saying that and print it on every receipt. Would definitely return. read more

We're in the process of moving to Carson City, from California. We'd decided to stay in our travel trailer while my husband started work, then find a place to buy. Comstock is very clean, spacious, reasonable rates, pool, jacuzzi, basketball, laundry facilities, showers, close to shopping and a dog park across the street. I called this park 8 days before I planned to arrive and made arrangements for a month stay in a back in spot. I have a very small class B. I was told I had to pay in advance to guarantee a spot. There was also a $20 per month charge to use the shower, $5 charge for the shower key (refundable), and a $50 fee for electricity- I would only be charged for what I used, I was told. Then, I was charged $850 for a month in a pull-through because that was all they had left. I told the lady that their sign says $350/month. She said not during summer. When I arrived the owner would not allow my rig in a pull through and I was placed in a nice back-in space. I also noticed that the sign had been changed- no more advertisements of price. There are no prices on the web-site and the prices change on a whim. The park is mostly permanent or long term residents. Very few short term. My neighbors were really nice, but were paying much less for their spaces. As it turns out, I was charged for the 8 days I spent traveling to Carson City. I objected to this and was told it is the way it is. I approached the owner who informed me that he is a capitalist and this is how he makes money. He also said my space rent was only $750. I said I was charged $850. Oh ya, he says- that's the summer rate. He also told me that someone arrived the night before at 10pm, with a reservation. They apparently have no process for late arrivals- they close at 5:30 pm. So, the guy rang the door bell of the residence. The owner was angry and told the guy to get lost. He would not give him the space because he rang the doorbell. When I checked out there was a mistake made by the park employee who mis-read the electric meter. So, I was told that the mistake wasn't mine and that there is a minimum charge of $35 for the month. So, I was there for 22 days in a class B and paid $35 for electricity. They do not have a weekly rate, so to stay a few more days I was told the price would be $47.99 plus electricity and shower room fees. This is a great location with decent amenities- unfortunately, the office staff and owner are not that pleasant and the prices seem to change with whatever they think people will pay. In the end, it's cheaper to stay elsewhere. read more

We stay here every time we come to Carson. Not a big fan of their reservation policy of a $100.00 non-refundable deposit. We book our stays 5 to 6 month in advance when our senior softball tournament schedule comes out in Feb. Several tourneys get cancelled which is out of our control so we would lose the $100.00 non-refundable deposit. I understand their concerns about people cancelling late but we have been coming here for 7 years. They need to rethink their policy. Rv Park was okay with all the amenities you would need centrally located. Patricia was rude and didn't make the check in process easy or enjoyable. Wouldn't stay here again because of Patricia... Patricia is the lady who works in the office. She never told us a check out time so when I walked into the office to see when check out time was she said it was 11 am. I went in there at 10:57 am and she gave me really bad attitude. Patricia likes to lie to people regarding sites and which one area used for dumping. Pool and hot tub were dirty. Don't Stay at this Park EVER!!!! The rudest staff we've come across on all of our many years of travel and we had to move spaces in the middle our stay since they lost power to several spots. My husband is disabled and they treated him poorly and many customers damage their RV's due to trees and too small of spaces. A drunk tenant hit a light pole behind our 5th wheel in the middle of the night awakening us in a panic. Too many full-time residents acting like they're park owners who are also rude to those spending a few nights. Lots of trash and people are allowed to have aggressive breeds of dogs. Many quality parks in the area, don't waste your time or money at this garbage park!!! read more

We reserved a 50 amp pull thru spot in June 2019 for a September 2019 stay. When we arrived and we tried to hook to electric we only got 15 amp. They changed the circuit breaker with no change. The park owner came over and claims that nowhere in Northern Nevada will you get a full 50 amp even though that's what we paid for and were told that is what we would get. Last night we stayed in a place in Northern Nevada, Pony Express, and had 50 amp with no problem, all 3 air conditioners worked fine. The owner, Gene, came over and told us "if you don't like what you have then you can leave and I'll refund your money". He said that this electric will run two air conditioners. So here we are September 6 with no air conditioning because after he left us the air conditioner still does not come on. It just continues to "shed" with no air. We called the office again and were told the same thing, if you don't like it you can leave. Very poor customer service....I was expecting that they would refund us since we don't have sufficient electricity, at the very least one day of our two days!! We have been to many campgrounds since 2005 and have NEVER encountered such rude and unprofessional responses. We do not recommend this park!! read more

This place over priced, spaces are small, and you get charged for everything and the owner picks and chooses what people will pay. Increases different charges without your knowledge and keeps your utility deposit when your supposed to get a refund when you move out. What a scam. The owner is very rude as well. read more
