What an amazing place to stay. Loved it the 11 days we were here. Beautiful nice RV spaces. Gorgeous well manicured common gathering areas with firpits lit each night to enjoy. We had a great time here. We had car trouble and weren't able to make the first night of our reservation. We called the day after we were supposed to arrive and they fully refunded us for the night we missed. They didn't have to do that based on their cancellation policy so it was really appreciated. That kind of customer-focused action stands out to me. The hookups all worked with zero complications, the grounds were beautiful and they even have a dog park on the premises. We have stayed here multiple times over the past 2 years and find it wonderful. Old growth trees, well paved and level pads, hardly ever hear any traffic noise, neighbors have always been very friendly, certainly kid and pet friendly, and quiet. 10 minutes from downtown Truckee and about the same to Donner Lake State Park and all the natural beauty of that area (don't miss the view from the Donner Pass Bridge). All of the staff have been wonderful. Friendly, super helpful and hard working. Propane fill up occurs all week long and tanks are returned full to your site. It may seem expensive, but the area is not cheap and this is the best full service RV park we have found. Five stars all around! Well deserved. read more

Very convenient to Kings Beach. Only a 22 minute drive away. The RV park was safe and quiet. They seemed to have full amenities, except a store. I also didn't see a pool. The only thing I used was the dog park which is not close to the RV section. It's huge and partially fenced and located within the mobile homes park next to the property. We only stayed one night and it's easy to access the 80 Freeway for a quick stop overnight. read more

Last minute change for camping lead us to Coachland RV in Truckee. Booked what appeared to be their last site for the Father's Day weekend. We love the North shore and we're happy to get out of the triple digit heat. Easy location near to downtown Truckee easy to get to Tahoe City etc. sites are good size but close together on the side they are renovating. Bathrooms & showers are clean. We would recommend as a place to stay with your TT/camper. read more

Loved our stay here! We were in one of the adventure cabins and it was the cutest tiny home. The only thing I wish they had was a full length mirror to see how you look. We were staying here for a wedding so it would have been nice to see the full outfit in a mirror. Other than that it was great and will definitely be coming back! read more

Pros: nicely landscaped. Bathrooms are clean. Dog park. Close to town, amenities. Cons: butts up to very busy street. Sirens every day...trucks...traffic. 30 Amp campers don't get cable or A/C. No pool, no store. Only 2 showers/bathrooms. For $75-$80 a night.. thats ridiculous! In flight path of Tahoe/Truckee Airport so alot of planes overhead. Saw one crash the other day. Too close for comfort. I wouldn't stay here again. I would not stay here again for that price. read more

We were only here for a few days but the staff were friendly, laundry and bathroom facilities were clean, spotlessly clean. Our travel trailer had a shower/ bathroom but theirs were so clean that we decided to make shower time faster by utilizing theirs as well. Shower pressure was AMAZING!!!!!! Best shower I've had since leaving home. Huge dog park. Our pups went out there to run amuck twice a day and came back happy and exhausted. The gardens and grounds were gorgeous! The only thing negative for me was that I couldn't access WiFi at bedtime for my background noise to sleep to, but even then, I could've gone to the office to ask for help but was to tired to really bother. So my fault, not theirs! My kids, 9 and 15 years old, asked to move here!!!!! They were totally loving this place! read more

People steal your camp spot at this RV Park because they know there's no one on site in the evening to enforce camping reservations. We paid for a camp/rv spot, but it was stolen by another dirtbagger who connected to water and electricity, and refused to move. He became angry and belligerent when I showed him my parking pass with the site number and date. He said he had a pass too but refused to show it and wouldn't move. Thankfully there were other empty spots for me to pull into for the night, but I would have been screwed if the park had been full. I'm upset that there was no one for me to contact on site regarding this situation, and this negative encounter completely ruined my experience. read more

Ok, Bottom line up front did not stay at this place but felt compelled to write a review. Made the reservations a couple weeks out, and the weather sstarted coming in Sat (over 3 feet of snow predicted) when we planned to arrive. Called the place and told them we were cancelling becasue of the weather and Samantha told us since we were cancelling within 30-days we would not get a refund. When I complained and stated that they made $280 off of us for nothing she became very rude, claimed that they were not stealing anything from us, told us that its my responsibility to watch the weather and hung up on me. Now, rudeness aside. When a site takes the full amount upfront on a reservation, and refuses to give a refund it feels a lot like theft to me. Understand that it is in practice at a lot of sites, and that is their policy, but it IS unethical. We gave them over 48 hours notice. I think it would be ok if they charged for one night, but the entire amount? It made my blood boil and really triggered my BS meter. We have stayed at many sites that took the entire amount up front, but then if we cancelled they would refund all except for one day. Anyway, Lesson learned. We will never stay at Coachland RV resort, We will tell everyone we know to avoid the place, and put reviews on every site we can. And, in the future, we will NOT be staying at sites that charge the full amount up front and do not refund. If that is their practice, they have seriously lost our business forever. read more

This place had decent reviews on Goodsam so I thought it would be a nice place. Or, it might of been our luck of the draw. They're doing some construction and I get that, but that's not why I gave it 2 stars. It's not terrible, but also not that great. We came with friends for some social distancing glamping. We all reserved the same type of sites and their sites were okay. For some reason we were assigned a site in the long term stay section where it was a lot smaller, far from the restrooms and lacked some of the amenities of the weekender sites. The most notable, we paid for a site with concrete parking pad like our friends, but was assigned a completely dirt site. I agree with another reviewer that they can work on being more ethical. On top of all that the WiFi sucks! If I ever book here again I'm going to give them a generic name such as Jessica Jones, like the troubled super hero, and maybe I'll get a decent spot read more

Good place, good staff, overall clean. Some of the full timers drive noticeably faster and their sites seem cluttered, borderline junky, but I'll note those as subtle areas for improvement, not a huge deal. My complaint is that their website picture are misleading and quite frankly, this place is full hookup parking lot, albeit we'll run with good people, but they certainly mislead with the pictures they post in their site. read more

New Mgmt NO Class B Coachland no longer books in advance, is moving towards Reserve America for booking and will not allow rigs shorter than 26ft. No rigs past 10 years old. This I understand and have seen before. Size requirement is confusing as eliminates the entire fleet of Mercedes coaches. They are really restricting availability to reduce demand. So unless you are longer than 26ft, 10 years or newer and can book a few days last minute you will want to try another park. If you call the office staff will quickly dismiss you by saying not taking reservations for the summer. Was a nice place to stay but it is a private park and they reserve the right to service as desired. So unless you fit the criteria, save yourself some time and aggravation as the staff is not welcoming to speak with. read more

Expensive and lots of rules. If you're coming from LA you'll love it. If you actually have your head on straight you'll quickly realize you've come a long way to the wrong place. Also if your RV isn't new they kick you out. Watched our neighbor be forced to leave because their RV was built in 2009. read more

So happy we found this little gem. It's located near downtown Truckee but tucked away in a nice quiet area. Just a quick bike ride to all the local bars and restaurants. Clean bathroom facilities, full hook ups, dog friendly and the best prices....$99 for the 1st week! We will definitely be coming back. read more

We are 'full-timers' and have had experience with MANY RV parks/resorts/campgrounds etc. While yes, the spots are a bit tight - and pull through sites have a common area between rigs - still a beautiful setting, clean, a great dog park, nice facilities and very close to Downtown Truckee and Lake Tahoe and lots of Hiking! There's also lots of walking space around the RV neighborhood! Great Spot! read more

Very nice stay at Coachland! Yes, most of the RVer's are fulltimers, which typically is not a good thing, but the property, albeit a little older, is extremely well kept. Beautiful trees, lots of birds + other small wildlife. The employees, especially maintenance, are the star of the show here. They are soooo nice and go way out of the way to take care of you and make you feel at home. Only reason they don't get a 5-star rating is we don't really care for "buddy" sites (sharing a side yard with the RV next door). If you're traveling with someone else, as we were, reserve in advance to get your sites together. read more

Coachland RV Park has raised their rates by about 100% over the last 2 years when factoring utilities. This has left the guy who works ski patrol, and the lady who works in the book store and the guy who works in the school cafeteria and so on without a reasonable place to stay during the winter months when the park is never entirely full. Some of these individuals have been staying at the park for years as their incomes were fairly minimal. This is not about housing shortage, this is about pure greed. When you meet the staff you will likely experience, a we are entitled attitude, because we're the only winter option around. Nasty folks! Some of the former regulars are boycotting the place. I wish them luck, as the little guy takes in once again! read more

After a long day at the river, Kitty called me to ask why we hadn't checked out and then I realized our mistake. She worked so hard to find the other people another site so we could stay another day. The park is clean and nice, trees are nice and smells great, close to town and the staff are great with the exception of Sue one of the maintenance people terrible personality zero customer service, she never smiles, she probably would crack open if she did. Obscenely overpriced and amenities not as advertised. We specifically asked about laundry and Wi-Fi, which the receptionist said we're available. No Wi-Fi to speak of and the laundry machines are broken. This is what you get for $90.00 a night? Yes, it's Tahoe area, but an overpriced parking spot should at least be truthful about the amenities, or lack there of. read more

36' Class A with extra vehicle (not towed). Space was good in both length and width. We were able to extend slides on both sides, as well as the awnings, without encroaching on the neighbors on either side. Friendly, helpful staff. Showers, bathrooms, and laundry room (washers/dryers) well maintained and clean. Huge dog park. The location is great - a couple of miles to town, close to Donner Lake and North Lake Tahoe. Reno is about a 30 minute drive. We were there with three other families in various sites - all were happy with their stays. During our stay (June 23-27) Wifi was only available around the office, but we used a hotspot for the kids. Verizon had a very strong cell signal. Oh, almost forgot, when we checked in we were told on Saturday mornings the park provides free breakfast, but we forgot We will stay here again. read more
