I've been going to this store since I was four. 30 years old now. For some reason, I've had issues with the owner, his son, all three of his nephews and one of their uncles as well. Never had issues with any other grocery shop owners around here before. Yet this whole family seems to have an attitude problem. Went here for milk a couple of mornings because they open at 7, supposedly. I don't know what their deal is but they don't ever open their doors until after 8. I'm lazy as well but can at least rely on Linda Liquor, Minit Mart, or even 711 for simple things such as milk at 7:30 in the morning because they actually open at the time their doors say. Also when you try to buy a bottle of water they try to tell you "buy the 3 pack instead, it's cheaper". Always trying to hustle you. I just needed a sip of water, dude. But thanks. read more

This is an exceptionally clean and well organized convenience store. It is family owned and operated by a team of very nice brothers who are helpful and friendly to everyone. It is next to a cleaner's and across from the Linda Vista Post Office, with adequate parking and easy access. Went to this place this morning, waited for someone to show...they were late, no apology no customer greeting, nothing, bought two packs of cigs, with one of those OCB flavor cards and put it a pack by 9:15, but by 1 the pack is still like a regular cig, which I don't like. I again walk back to exchange the product. I was told no, he couldn't exchange it and argued with me over the fact I could not get my money back or an exchange. He told me to contact the company. I also said the packaging I noticed was from 2022!!! Still no exchange...I have just had a shoulder replacement and i told him I wouldn't have walked here again for nothing, he said just because I'm having a bad day, that I didn't have to yell at him, I assured him I was not yelling, I was disagreeing that it was up to them to make the exchange. He said he didn't want the loss....I told him I came in here to make a purchase and was given something faulty. No one goes to a store to spend money on something that doesn't work, and then told to contact the manufacturer. Terrible attitude, terrible customer service, an oh well attitude. I told him I will never shop there again. Any business you patronize should show a level of quality and responsibility for the quality of goods sold. I am very disappointed in his attitude, not trying to rectify the situation, and at trying to turn it on me. ZERO STARS! THIS STORE IS HORRIBLE! I thought I would stop by really quick for a caffeine Mountain Dew fix after going to the post office and dropping off my dry cleaning. This convenience store is right next to the Dry cleaners (which is awesome!) I go in and grab a Mountain Dew and see 2/$2.50, ok great, I get 2! Luckily I had $3 cash. I give it to him, and he says "OK, That's it!" THAT'S IT??? WHERE IS MY CHANGE? I know it's not $0.50 in CRV and tax. I look over at the register and it reads $2.81. I ask, and "My change?!?" He says "That's it!" again! I ask, "Can I have my change?" His response was "OH".... I get $0.09 cents back... not the correct amount of $0.19. Was I supposed to leave a tip?!? For what?!? Since I don't have a tolerance for complete stupidity, dishonestly and downright shady businesses, I just took my $0.09 and left. They can keep the $0.10 to keep from going out of business! SHOPPERS BEWARE! THEY CHARGE WHOLE DOLLARS FOR EVERYTHING AND YOU DON'T GET ANY CHANGE BACK. HAVE EXACT CASH IF YOU HAVE TO COME HERE. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. read more

I have a 1 year old son and I'm a single father. I ran up to this place to grab something and realized I had forgotten my mask. And loading/unloading my child is difficult so I grab a clean T-shirt from my trunk and wrapped it around my face. As I go in the younger male behind the register yells at me "you must wear a mask". HE HAS A BANDANA ON THAT IS WAY THINNER than the double wrapped t-shirt I have around my face. I tell him I accidentally forgot my mask and I have my son in my arms can I please just grab what I need quickly and get out of there. He says "no get out of my store" at this point I tell him I I'll never give them any of my business again which I won't. Ever since we lost K Sandwiches, I've been looking for a deli that I like. Comstock has a great selection of sandwiches and sides at reasonable prices. Each sandwich is packed with meat and veggies and could easily be shared. The other remarkable thing is the customer service. Everyone who works there is so friendly and kind! It has that great mom and pop feel and the family that owns it go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The location is a bit ghetto but nothing dangerous and parking is a drag with 5 cramped spots. The beer selection is pretty great, too! I highly recommend Comstock to anyone looking for a good deli. Just make sure to call ahead as they get busy in the afternoon with 20 minute waits since it is usually one person making all the sandwiches. Their deviled eggs are pretty great, too! read more

I've walked in to this market multiple times but it wasn't until just recently that the clerk asked if I've tried their subs and I of course had not, so I said no and the rest of the customers waiting behind me said that I had to try it and assured me that they were the best! So today I decided to give it a shot and I fell in love! I give this place one star for the awesome sandwiches but bad review for service. They take forever to make the food but this is where enough is enough. Me and my boyfriend just call in our food to spare the waiting time. We go there HALF AN HOUR (it takes that long, I shit you not) later. I've ordered sandwiches from Comstock Deli. The food is good. However, I really feel they should wear hairnets , I believe that is a healthcode . Also plastic gloves while preparing sandwiches. It kinda grossed me out that they were handeling the food, and touching other things. The workers are friendly enough, but I do recommend you call and order ahead of time. It is a small deli, but lots of customers, not enough help. Especially on the Saturdays. It can get pretty busy. I give this place a 7. I feel the sandwiches are good, and if they observe healthcodes better, and maybe hire 1 extra person on weekends to maybe take irders over the phone, this place has potential. read more
