My wife was sick and not feeling well and there was very clearly 0 empathy. Today - I called ahead to make sure they administered flu shots here because that's what I needed (phone call experience was fine. The lady who answered the phone clearly didn't know a whole lot but she got the information I needed from someone else in a timely manner). I walk through the doors and I am IMMEDIATELY met with attitude from whoever was training the girl at the front desk (who was clearly the new person I spoke to on the phone earlier). Glasses, leopard print and a ton of attitude doing her best Fran Drescher impersonation shouted at me literally not a second after I walked in the door "You can have a seat there's plenty of people ahead of you in line right now!" Didn't even ask why I was here. I have time today so it's not a big deal but I just recall the last experience my wife had and thought about how obnoxious that would have struck me if I were actually sick or not feeling well. If anyone from priority one reads this just remember. Sometimes the people who come to you are genuinely sick. Empathy and a caring attitude goes a long way maybe wait to judge and give attitude till you know what's going on with that person. I've worked in healthcare for 25 years and that's something a lot of healthcare workers lose sight of and get jaded to over the years (myself included). Be kind. You are prolly seeing a lot of people on what is a really bad day for them and as busy as you are... I'm sure they don't wanna be there.

There are a lot of bad reviews of this place on Yelp. A LOT. And I can see why people would be…read moreupset: the only people who come here are sick or otherwise need medical care. They are likely tired, sore, bleeding, or suffering from other physical issues. They are then told to fill out three forms (who loves medical paperwork?) and then sit in a chair until called. The people at the reception desk can appear unfriendly. There is a fee ($25) involved too. This ain't a day at the beach. I have been here before right when they open during cold season and had to wait in line, only to finally be told that since I had only been sick for 10 days they wouldn't give me antibiotics but I could come back after 14 days. That sucks, and I probably would have left a 1-star review after that experience if I had remembered to. Anyway, I came back recently after work and had a much different experience. Yes, I still had three forms to fill out, and yes I still had to wait in a chair to be called. But they confirmed that they didn't bill additionally for "after hours" visits anymore. I only had to sit about 20 minutes until I saw someone (I had brought magazines to read so I was prepared). And the medical person was friendly and offered several different options to deal with my issue. I had several pleasant interactions with the people at the desk. I can imagine how bored they must get having to repeat the same instructions dozens of times each day. It can come across as unprofessional or apathetic. But I took the time to be friendly to them, and they returned the gesture. They also said mornings are much busier than evenings (though in an emergency... you go when you have to go). I've seen both ends of the spectrum but my recent experience was great and I learned a few tips for the future (be kind, go in the evening, bring something to read, etc.). Hopefully I won't have to be back, but if I do I will be prepared.

NP Susaye Smith prescribed a topical Rx when I asked for oral. What she prescribed was not even covered by my insurance. When I called the office to speak to her she would not let me get a word in edgewise and rudely continued with raising her voice, admonishing me even though I asked her if I could please speak. Nope-- she just kept on going. Receptionist very curt & abrupt answering the phone also, kept putting me on hold & also kept talking over me. What has happened to healthcare for the elderly in this country? Encountering this type of treatment is like a slap in the face! Paid co-pay of $40.00 for nothing! Avoid this place at any cost!

Editing to add: I…read moreemailed as requested by the response to this review and got no where. WellNow doesn't give a damn about patient care. if I could give a lower rating, I would. I usually go to WellNow clinics for urgent care. Before this experience they have always been kind, caring, and quick in getting me the medical care I need. This time, not so much. I went to WellNow with a terrible poison ivy rash that was on my face, eye lids, hands, etc. At the time my daughter was 4 months old and strictly breastfed and I was struggling with postpartum depression. Feeding her, getting her in and out of her car seat, just existing was physically painful. And she refused to take a bottle during this stressful time. Upon hearing that I was struggling with my mental health the doctor threw up his hands and attributed my symptoms to my mental health and I had to beg for treatment which he did eventually grudgingly give me -- but even that wasn't sufficient to treat the issue and I had to take the prednisone prescription he gave me in conjunction with the other prednisone I had been prescribed when I had previously sought care and devise my own tapering regimen which did finally do the trick. He tried to tell me he couldn't give me more than a certain amount of prednisone but another urgent care doctor back in November when I had the same exact poison ivy response gave me the dosage and the tapering schedule I was asking for. Then, I received a bill months later with a 20% discount. I went to try to pay it today and they are trying to charge me the full amount. I spent 40 minutes on hold and then the representative was unable or uninterested in doing anything to remedy the issue. I am now waiting for a call back from a supervisor. I am deeply upset with the way I have been treated and truly feel that this treatment is due to being a breast feeding mom that struggled with mental health. Stay far, far away from WellNow if you are also a breastfeeding mom. To add insult to injury, I left this same review on Google. The "owner" asked that I email them to resolve the situation. I did, recapped my disappointment and frustration and they sent me a form email asking for my DOB and address demonstrating that if a human being did read my email they have the empathy of a rock. I responded with the requested information to the billing email address and received an automatic reply that the address is not routinely monitored. Main take away: WellNow doesn't give a flying rat's behind about their patients' experiences in any way, shape, or form.
