There are a lot of bad reviews of this place on Yelp. A LOT. And I can see why people would be…read moreupset: the only people who come here are sick or otherwise need medical care. They are likely tired, sore, bleeding, or suffering from other physical issues. They are then told to fill out three forms (who loves medical paperwork?) and then sit in a chair until called. The people at the reception desk can appear unfriendly. There is a fee ($25) involved too. This ain't a day at the beach. I have been here before right when they open during cold season and had to wait in line, only to finally be told that since I had only been sick for 10 days they wouldn't give me antibiotics but I could come back after 14 days. That sucks, and I probably would have left a 1-star review after that experience if I had remembered to. Anyway, I came back recently after work and had a much different experience. Yes, I still had three forms to fill out, and yes I still had to wait in a chair to be called. But they confirmed that they didn't bill additionally for "after hours" visits anymore. I only had to sit about 20 minutes until I saw someone (I had brought magazines to read so I was prepared). And the medical person was friendly and offered several different options to deal with my issue. I had several pleasant interactions with the people at the desk. I can imagine how bored they must get having to repeat the same instructions dozens of times each day. It can come across as unprofessional or apathetic. But I took the time to be friendly to them, and they returned the gesture. They also said mornings are much busier than evenings (though in an emergency... you go when you have to go). I've seen both ends of the spectrum but my recent experience was great and I learned a few tips for the future (be kind, go in the evening, bring something to read, etc.). Hopefully I won't have to be back, but if I do I will be prepared.

NP Susaye Smith prescribed a topical Rx when I asked for oral. What she prescribed was not even covered by my insurance. When I called the office to speak to her she would not let me get a word in edgewise and rudely continued with raising her voice, admonishing me even though I asked her if I could please speak. Nope-- she just kept on going. Receptionist very curt & abrupt answering the phone also, kept putting me on hold & also kept talking over me. What has happened to healthcare for the elderly in this country? Encountering this type of treatment is like a slap in the face! Paid co-pay of $40.00 for nothing! Avoid this place at any cost!

He barely spoke to me, didn't ask about my symptoms, only handed me a fresh piece of tape so I could stick my own bandage back on. (Sweet? ) He did not ask about the injury or what I experienced afterward- which would have informed a diagnosis, had he been interested in making a correct one. He handed me a printout about burns on my way out. Maybe he could try talking to a patient instead of providing reading material that is available on the internet- that I'd already seen- which prompted me to go to urgent care in the first place. Thanks, WebMD! AMC EmUrgent Care, not so much. (On the other hand, the receptionist and triage nurse were very nice.) There are 5 urgent cares in this area. I really wish I hadn't gone to this one!

Why can't they do that? They charged me for a COVID test but it takes 3days to get results .I asked for a copy of my XRay & was told the machine was broken ,it had been broken for months they stated They actually wanted me to go out of my way to Guilderland to pick up a copy. This while sick as a dog & heading in the opposite direction to Malta after wasting my hrs in this facility .I told them to send it to this facility & I would pick it up later. It took forever for them to figure out how to do it I went to Malta where I had to wait more hrs.Atleast they were able to do blood work & COVID & give results right away not in days.I told them the Dr saw a shadow on my lung in the X-ray.They tried to get the results but even 12 hrs later AM's radiologist still had not read it.Like the COVID test they send out to LabCorp ,getting an XRay read can take days .So they had to take the same X-ray again ,that meant the insurance company paid twice,& I had to be exposed to more radiation that day.

I was recently turned away without treatment for suicidal feelings. They gave me nothing but a bill, after holding me there against my will. No doctor, no therapist, no follow up to help me get back on my feet. Just a bill and cruel words. Beware the nurse with the Nickelodeon tattoo.
