Editing to add: I…read moreemailed as requested by the response to this review and got no where. WellNow doesn't give a damn about patient care. if I could give a lower rating, I would. I usually go to WellNow clinics for urgent care. Before this experience they have always been kind, caring, and quick in getting me the medical care I need. This time, not so much. I went to WellNow with a terrible poison ivy rash that was on my face, eye lids, hands, etc. At the time my daughter was 4 months old and strictly breastfed and I was struggling with postpartum depression. Feeding her, getting her in and out of her car seat, just existing was physically painful. And she refused to take a bottle during this stressful time. Upon hearing that I was struggling with my mental health the doctor threw up his hands and attributed my symptoms to my mental health and I had to beg for treatment which he did eventually grudgingly give me -- but even that wasn't sufficient to treat the issue and I had to take the prednisone prescription he gave me in conjunction with the other prednisone I had been prescribed when I had previously sought care and devise my own tapering regimen which did finally do the trick. He tried to tell me he couldn't give me more than a certain amount of prednisone but another urgent care doctor back in November when I had the same exact poison ivy response gave me the dosage and the tapering schedule I was asking for. Then, I received a bill months later with a 20% discount. I went to try to pay it today and they are trying to charge me the full amount. I spent 40 minutes on hold and then the representative was unable or uninterested in doing anything to remedy the issue. I am now waiting for a call back from a supervisor. I am deeply upset with the way I have been treated and truly feel that this treatment is due to being a breast feeding mom that struggled with mental health. Stay far, far away from WellNow if you are also a breastfeeding mom. To add insult to injury, I left this same review on Google. The "owner" asked that I email them to resolve the situation. I did, recapped my disappointment and frustration and they sent me a form email asking for my DOB and address demonstrating that if a human being did read my email they have the empathy of a rock. I responded with the requested information to the billing email address and received an automatic reply that the address is not routinely monitored. Main take away: WellNow doesn't give a flying rat's behind about their patients' experiences in any way, shape, or form.

We went to the Urgent Care in the early afternoon after my 2-year old son cut his chin, It was…read morerelatively minor and a clean cut, but would need to be closed. I checked into the Urgent Care Center and then waited over 2 hours in the waiting room before seeing anyone. They did not triage anyone who registered, it was just first-come, first-served. People with sore throats were seen before my son, who was bleeding all over the place. When we finally got into an exam room, the nurse (who was less than friendly) washed his chin and told me that the doctor would be in soon. A few minutes later, a PA shows up and proceeds to tell me that she can't glue his chin because the tissues were too swollen and would need to be trimmed (in my opinion, probably as a result of waiting so long), that my son will need stitches and that she doesn't do trimming or stitches and there was no doctor in the office. So, after waiting ~2 1/2 hours to finally see any medical personnel, they tell me that I have to go to the ER instead. If they actually did TRIAGE when I first got there (like any other Urgent Care or ER I've ever been to), they could have referred me immediately to the ER and I could have saved a lot of time and money since they also billed me for doing absolutely nothing but telling me I needed to bring him somewhere else. (On a side note, the Ellis ER got us in and out in about 30 minutes). I would avoid this Urgent Care, there's a total lack of process or organization and the staff is less than friendly. I guess it's ok if you have a sore throat or congestion, but beyond that, they seem incapable of taking care of minor medical problems that shouldn't require a trip to the ER.

Don't go here. Saw a Dr. Shin, who clearly needs to go back to medical school. (maybe he didn't go…read morein the first place and he wears the lab coat to impress) Scary dumb. Scary advice given. A dog may have been able to help me more than this idiot. Sorry to be so negative, but my experience with the doc was sad and pathetic. I suggest, if it's urgent, go to St. Peter's E.R. in Albany. Or even ask your cousin, who just woke up, what to do, before seeing this doc. Wait was long. Receptionist was aloof. Location was a challenge, too. Go elsewhere!

Do you want the solution to be seen quick at this emergency room? Come in one night and come back…read morethe next day. I couldn't BELIEVE the amount of people who were here hours after me and then were seen before me. The common phrase overheard "I was here last night and left because the wait was so long I'm feeling worse today." There is clearly no systems in place here to help patients in a timely manner. I only came here cause all urgent cares were closed at the time I needed assistance. Wait times now are going on 3.5 hours. I'm only staying at this location because I have committed to waiting here for this long. If you need assistance seek help elsewhere. I can't comment on the care cause I haven't been seen... I will update this review after being seen. Update #1: we have hit the four hour mark. The RN behind the counter sincerely cares for patients you can tell she is doing anything she can to get people in. We will wait a bit longer and give a second update. Update 2: Nurses in back are very friendly! I would have less severe and severe rooms to reduce wait times for all patients. There was NO reason to be here four hours for what I needed to be seen for. The only reason to come here was because nothing else was open at the time and my primary told me to.
