Not bad with time as I arrived @ 12:45 p.m & was done @ 2 o'clock. When I checked in there were 4 people ahead of me and 3 people behind the desk. As I'm waiting in the lobby only 1 lady (black with long nails...i wish I got her name) at the desk was checking people in and the other 2 people were just sitting. They should have a separate office space if they are working on other tasks because it's not a good look when you have a bunch of patients piling on 1 employee. Leslie the MA was pleasant. I find it odd that it takes 2 to 5 business days for drug test results to come back when this place is open 24 hours and labs do around the clock testing. The Asian doctor (I believe his name starts with a Z) is very pushy and think he know more than my PCP I've been going to since I was 12. He swear I need to get checked for sleep apnea. Mind you he never asked if I ever had a sleep study done before. My lungs & heart were fine, and I did all the mobility tests with no problem, I still was only given 3 months DOT certification. I'm going to assume this company gets money for sleep study referrals. It's 2026 & y'all keep using BMI and other vital chart references that were made for white people!!! I am overweight and active but haven't been diagnosed with HBP, diabetes or any other health issues. My PCP said I just need to get my weight under control with diet & exercise. All that pushing & I was still DOT certified. So the 2 stars are for Leslie and the other lady at check-in. read more

I have come to this location before and the service was not so well. Its a cool urgent care place. The staff were all professional and attentive. After seeing the P.A. whom was a pleasure and patient with helping me understand what he see is the issue. On the follow up visit with the Dr I was waiting in the room before he came in and a female, I dont know who she was kept coming in on the phone Im assumimg with IT looking at a computer. This was very annoying and eventually they moved me to be seen in another room. This facility does employment exams and physical therapy. The physical therapy staff are friendly l, patient and knowledged as well. I have had a decent time during my visits. If you are in need for care outside of physical therapy, depending in the time of day as its a 24hr facility, your wait time can vary upto spending 3 hrs to be seen and out. Let me recognize the PT staff first. Tavon, Eric, and Julia make the experience pleasant even if it is a little painful. Brandon is a little less attentive in my opinion. Seems like he's all over the place at times, listening to respond instead of understand. The staff on the clinic side is 50/50 and the services they outsource, like scheduling for specialized situations, could definitely be placed in the hands of companies that won't make them look bad or seem at fault. My particular PA could use some pointers...I'll leave that there. I feel like some things could be better communicated amongst the staff. Otherwise, the service has been acceptable and my time has been handled with care when keeping scheduled appointments. Parking lot is a decent size. There is only one step up the curb to get in the doors and they do have an accessible ramp are of the sidewalk in the front. I likely would not choose to have continued care there (except PT) but I have to go with the contracted partner for my care in this particular case. read more

My employer has been sending me to this location for my annual compliance testing. There is no appointment needed as they only take walk ins. For the past few years~ my employer mails a testing kit to the site and every single year it takes several staff to either locate the test box after having to verify with my employer that the kit has been sent with tracking a number. It is a true inconvenience to have to wait in the waiting area and correspond with both my employer and the front desk staff for a test kit that I called 2 days prior and confirm has been sent before I plan my visit for it not to be found at all. I would not recommend and I have discussed my concerns with my employer for an alternative location for getting my annual compliance testing completed. read more

Just like any other Concentra, Avoid this place at all cost. I went for pre-employment drug test and d.o.t. physical. I left with a headache. The physician needs to confirm with my PCP what well known medications do (shouldn't they know?) They will look for any small reason to have you come back for another visit. The staff is unprofessional and don't seem to want to deal with patients. I don't understand why companies contract these places. This place is exactly why I pay out of pocket to keep my CDL current. March 7, 2025, Friday evening, around 7:30 pm, I missed a step while leaving a three-step platform. I landed on my foot, twisting my ankle and falling to the floor. I was taken to Concentra, located in Arbutus, MD. There I was informed that there could be a three-hour wait and that they could take x-rays. After waiting two hours and 45 minutes, I was finally wheeled into an examining room, where I waited until 12:45 am without being seen. Frustrated, I wheeled myself to the doorway to flag down a staff member. A medical associate finally responded, and I explained that I had been at the facility since 8:00 pm and had only had my blood pressure checked--no X-rays or further evaluation had been done. Shortly after, the doctor come in and mentioned that I had been placed in the bleeding examining room, then asked if I was bleeding. When I told her no, she explained that she was the only doctor on duty and that no one had informed her I was there. She then had me moved to another room. Ten minutes later, I was taken to radiology for X-rays. After another 15-minute wait, I was told that I had fractured my ankle in two places. However, the doctor never showed me my X-rays--instead, she displayed an animated diagram of an ankle. She then asked if my job required me to climb stairs and whether they offered light-duty work. I told her no to the stairs and yes to light-duty. She informed me that I would need to see a chiropractor and had my ankle wrapped, placed in a boot, and provided with crutches. A staff member then briefly showed me how to use them. The doctor prescribed ibuprofen and a gel for pain. After being discharged, my daughters helped me to the car. However, when they returned to the front desk for my paperwork, they were told that it was not ready because the doctor was on a lunch break. We had to leave and return later to pick it up. This was a horrible and painful experience, and I will never go to that facility again. read more

The PA was great, but the lady at the front desk was horrible. She initially told us they accepted BC/BS, then when we got there, we were told they didn't. She "had trouble" with putting him in the system and created another account with (strangely) by putting an S on his last name. We ended up paying out of pocket, since my son had a horrible ear infection and it was the first night of the bad snowstorm. Turns out they DO accept BC/BS and the account she had trouble with already existed and had all of his insurance information. I called the billing department at Concentra, and the person I spoke with was very nice and reconciled the two accounts, as well as submitted the claim to our insurance. In addition, we overheard this lady taking a call from someone who wanted to be seen. She told the caller that the place was full and that he'd have to wait an hour. Every time I for a job related drug test it might only be a few people ahead of me but the wait can be few hours because the staff is always joking around with each other and not taking their job seriously. You sign your name on the list and it gets skipped over because they are to busy playing around. One guy behind the counter was actually trying to flirt with a patient and that is totally unacceptable. They always have an attitude and act like we need them and we are not important. They walk around like they don't want to be at work and the atmosphere is totally unprofessional. This review is in reference to Tavon B. the physical therapy patient assistant at Concentra in Arbutus. He greets everyone by name beginning with their first visit and is welcoming each and every time making you feel comfortable. I was there for 5 sessions and each time Tavon greeted me with a smile. I also observed Tavon walking around making sure patients had what they needed, he wiped down machines, put items away post exercise & prior to one's dismissal he would hand you your paperwork and wish you well. Tavon also served as the resident DJ keeping the atmosphere filled with good tunes & energy. It's clear Tavon has good work ethic and interpersonal skills. read more

I walked in explaining my blood pressure concerns - just wanting to get checked out. I had my DL/Insurance in hand knowing it would be the first thing she asked for... her first response was "you sure you want us to bill you for something like this? Just go to your primary care" when I stated that I still wanted to me to be seen - she had me fill out 3 pages of paperwork only to tell me the doctor wouldn't see me. Went there with a laceration on the side of my hand. The women in the front acted like she didn't want to help me. She kept saying that I will probably have to go to the emergency room to get looked at. They never even saw my laceration, which ended up needing 3 stitches. I asked if they did sutures and she said yes, but I'll probably have to go to the emergency room. She said this like 3 times saying she wouldn't have to if I didn't keep asking the same question, which was completely inaccurate. I asked if I could sign in and just see what the doctor says and she dropped the clip board in front of me and it slid across the counter. This made this experience that much easier and faster and I was able to stay in my car until I was called. In and out within 40 mins from checkin to specimen drop off. This was WONDERFUL. Meanwhile, people who are in actual pain and have problems, have to wait hours. Even if people came in hours after you, they would take them almost right away because it was drug testing. This (THIS) Concentra is by far the worst I've been to. I had an appointment at 8am and I wasn't seen until 1 hour 45 minutes later. The staff at the reception desk are rude and not welcoming. The med tech I saw that did my vision and hearing was the only positive about my visit. The doctor was in a rush and mentally elsewhere. If you have the options, AVOID this location. UPDATE: From going to another facility I learned that the med tech did not perform my vision test the correct way. It was a depth test that required goggles. I am currently in this location for the 2nd time. I had to come back because the wait time was 4 hours; and no they were not packed and there were plenty of staff. I have currently been here for 3 hours. 2 hours and 45 minutes was just pure waiting. No updates, nothing. Just attitude when you ask about your wait time. I came in at 9:15 am. wasn't seen until 10:45. Then I wanted until 11:52 to see a doctor just for him to give me a bandaid. I could've gotten a bandaid 3 hours ago! I waited over three hours for assessment of UTI/kidney injury and it seemed as though they prioritized physicals, work injuries, and everything else under the sun before me. Doesn't seem right. When I asked when I should be expected to be seen, and pointed out that people arriving after me were seen before me, the staff claimed they had arrived before me. The doctor's medical knowledge is questionable. I had to argue for tests that I believe should have been completed. He sent me home with a script for antibiotics, and if they don't work I will not be returning to this clinic. The doctor was rude and argumentative after having me wait for hours. We got here at 7 am to get a quick physical for school since the primary is booked. First I was informed that they don't take health insurance for physicals. That's just ridiculous. I was told I could always go to the primary and they'd take insurance. If I could get her I there I would. Well we can get her in right away but it's $81. We get the first set of paperwork done and wait. Almost an hour later they call us. Time to pay the $81 and fill out another paper. There was one person in the waiting room and one walked in right behind us. They were far from busy. The whole time we're sitting in the waiting room the girls behind the desk were spending more time watching the Kardashian's than anything. No one came out snd the parking lot is empty, so it isn't like they have a packed house. It would have to be an emergency not serious enough fir an ER visit to make me come back here. All I can say is THANK GOODNESS for 24 hour urgent care! There is a Patient First in Catonsville but I didn't realize they closed at 10:00 pm so when I got home closer to midnight and my arm was swollen to twice it's size, hot, and hard as a rock I sat in the parking lot stressing over going to a hospital ER because it would cost $150 co pay and I would be in there for the rest of the night. Luckily, I found Concentra and I am so grateful for them! As soon as I walked in, Tinia M looked at my swollen arm that was continuing to get larger by the minute and had me go directly into the examination room - no stopping at the waiting room, no time to collect my co-pay -- she was on it! I really couldn't have asked for more helpful, attentive assistance at 1:00 am - both Tinia and the Physicians Assistant Rob Mosley hooked me up! I have both a steroid and a Benadryl injection and while I wouldn't recommend them to anyone they really did alleviate the pain in swelling almost immediately. I then stayed around for an additional 30 minutes to ensure that I didn't have any other reactions and they also had to fill out my discharge paperwork. From start to finish I was in Concentra for an hour and a half and I would have to say that I only saw two points of improvement. 1) They really need blankets or sheets for people to use when laying in the rooms. No matter how warm blooded you are, once you have two ice packs on your lower back, the room starts to get cold very quickly. They gave me two nightgowns to place over me but that was NOT nearly enough. 2) Because I was there so late at night their computers froze - that is no convenient for the customer/patient or for the PA/doctor who has to do their job so I hope they upgrade their systems soon. When I walked into Concentra, I was tired, in pain, and freaking out because my arm just kept getting bigger and bigger. I am so grateful for both Tinia and Rob for keeping their cool and putting me at ease!! If you have to go to Urgent Care, I hope you have them! read more

I wish I could do 0 stars. I went here while I was having an allergic reaction. I couldn't breathe, my tongue was swelling, I tasted blood etc. i walk in and they made me fill out paper work. The place was EMPTY. I had to wait 15 minutes. They told me that because I had respiratory issues that I could NOT be seen and had to go to the emergency room. I have NEVER experienced a situation where it seems like the sole mission of nearly the entire staff is to make your experience as BAD as possible. From the check in to seeing the nurse, doctor & PA, the service was absolutely terrible. The mistakes that were made and the attitude of the staff once I respectfully called them out made me feel like I was in a HORROR movie! I came to do a routine DOT physical and it turned into, missing paperwork, contradictory request from different staff members, multiple days of back and forth with the staff, the unprofessionalism the staff shows in front of customers... I understand that there are waits at urgent cares but it is not odd to inquire after 3 hours on the status of being seen...1.5 hours of that was after being put into an exam room. The 1 star isn't for the wait...it is for how obnoxious the Dr is. Dr. Weeks happened to be by when the staff was asked about the the additional wait after 3 hours but he was rude and terse. Please acquire some manners and decency. Patients can inquire about wait time after being placed in the exam room for 1.5 hours.
