The medical tech was solely focused on checking boxes - namely could I pay. And, unfortunately, the doctor wasn't much better. He looked at my wounds with mild disgust and of course asked several times how I was going to pay. They're getting at least two stars because I did get care, but I'd never willing come to get it again. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with our experience at Concerta Urgent Care on Monday, March 23. To start, the front desk employee was kind and patient, especially considering she was the only one working the front at the time. She made an effort to inform every patient about the long wait due to limited staff, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of our visit. My sister came in because she had been experiencing dizziness and blurred vision in her left eye for three days. After waiting about an hour, she finally saw the doctor, and the consultation lasted roughly another hour. She clearly explained her symptoms and concerns, but the doctor dismissed them and simply told her to eat something and take Tylenol because she hadn't eaten that morning. My sister explained that she hadn't eaten *because* she felt unwell and wanted to come in as soon as possible. It made no sense to us why her ongoing symptoms over several days were reduced to that explanation. We left feeling uneasy because nothing had really been addressed. Thankfully, my sister decided to call the VA hospital afterward. She spoke with a nurse practitioner who immediately told her to come into the ER that same day. At the hospital, we learned that my sister had actually experienced a mild stroke and has a hole in her heart. While I understand the clinic was busy and short-staffed, that does not excuse the lack of thorough evaluation and care. This could have had an even more serious outcome. We will never return here and would not recommend this urgent care to anyone. read more

My GodKid had an urgent care situation so I swooped her up to bring her here. After an hour or so, medical staff decided her situation needed more of an elevated/ER kind of attention. Brought her to the ER and informed them of the situation. Even ER staff were wondering why she wasn't even given an IV, for a "just in case" moment. I went for a TB test on a Friday. I was paying out of pocket, so not insurance issues. They were busy, but considering how many people were there the wait time was reasonable. However, I went in on a Monday at 12:14pm to have the test read. The lady at the front desk looked at my arm then told me I'd have to wait for my little printout it took an hour. I actually had to find someone because the lady at the front was gone. Time is money save your money don't go there. read more

I got a really good job offer which required a DOT physical exam before beginning training. I forgot to bring my glasses but was able to complete most of the physical exams and given a generous grace period to return the with my prescription glasses. These professionals are the absolute best. I would rate my personal experience with Concentra an 11 out of 10 and give them a 6 star review if I could. They truly set the bar in the "excellent quality care" category. The doctors and staff members like Christina are the best in the business. Just wanted to be seen for food poisoning and get a doctor's note and it took 2 hours when I was the first p toerson to show up. I got there at 8:30am, thinking it would be quick and fast but they sure took their time. The staff was extremely nice and helpful but I believe the slow pace was all on the doctor. So I can't even be mad at the staff. Maybe they need more doctors but there were less than 5 or 6 people that came in after me. It would make more sense to finish one patient off before seeing others. I was just sitting in the treatment room waiting on my paper work while he was seeing all the other patients. This is just my personal customer service opinion. I would recommend this urgent care because the staff is really nice, but if you have things to do or don't want to be there long, definitely go somewhere else or come in even earlier than I did. read more

I honestly don't understand the low reviews for this location maybe that was before the current team came in, because my experience was nothing short of amazing. Dr. Kay, Christina Ly, and the entire staff went above and beyond. They got me through the process quickly, helped with all my needs, and even guided me through parts I didn't fully understand. On top of that, I made a mistake on my end that required me to return to the office after I had already left. They could have easily made me wait for hours, but instead they handled it on the spot with zero hassle. That level of care and customer service is rare, and I can confidently say this has been the BEST experience I've ever had with Concentra. It's hilarious how you hire people because they're bilingual, but they couldn't do their job even close to someone who isn't bilingual. This place is a complete joke and an embarrassment of a clinic. The entire office experience was beyond horrible. The medical assistants, the receptionist, and even the so-called director in charge are wildly incompetent, unprofessional, and outright rude. There is absolutely no respect for patients, no basic manners, and zero accountability. It's painfully obvious that no one here cares about patient well-being -- they only care about wasting your time. The owner should stop whatever they're doing and focus on replacing the entire staff with people who actually know how to treat human beings. If you're thinking about coming here, don't. Bad service. I got poked 4 times, nurses are not emphatic. Only the front desk lady was nice. They dismissed the urgency of my concern. They had me wait almost five hours. 20 mins almost each step - blood draw, doctor wait. I don't make reviews but this deserves a really bad review. This clinic location is actually in Torrance from what I was told by one of the employees, but the address states Gardena at 1149 W. 190th Street. All of the employees exhibited professionalism and excellent customer service all the way to the doctor who performed my physical. The 2 employees Luis and Naz was truly great, and I would just like to express my gratitude because all clinics are not like this or friendly and Naz even booked me an Uber home one day caring about my safety and me making it back. The wait for a full waiting room wasnt that bad (45 mins) because I showed up early considering I read previous reviews of how busy they get. So, from my actual appointment time I was seen within 15 mins. Staff were very friendly, helpful and were on top of everything going on in the front. I did not feel some of the pre-employment testing was done accurately. For vision I felt rushed. She had me take my glasses off a tell her a location of an object then she had me put my glasses back on and tell her the location of the object. Then take my glasses off for the next one. Then repeat this cycle for the next vision test. My vision needs time to adjust when taking my glasses off. So finally I asked her can we do all the non-glasses tests at the same time then repeat same tests with my glasses on? I dont know about you but my eyes need time to adjust when I take my glasses on and off. I just felt like she was going through the motions to get through with me to get patients completed. But to me the results could possibly determine whether im considered for a job or not at the company that sent me to this place. I think in the medical field you need to be accurate and patient with each test being done. The results do have an effect on the person going to get these tests done. Be compassionate and care for what you do at work....medical jobs should never be about the paycheck!! if its a paycheck you want then you're in the wrong line of work. read more

A week ago one of our employees had a small cut in his hand, no stitches was required. He went to this place for tetanus shot. We called asking to send us the bill in order to avoid a claim for such a small incident. They are trying to tell us that this issue can go only through workers compensation. Its so obvious that its better for them to deal with the insurance they can charge any amount they want. They also sent us an email stating that our account will be flagged unless we provide the insurance carrier info. Our insurance has no problem to pay out of our pocket. read more

I had to come here because I sprained my left shoulder at work. Workers comp sent me here, the wait time is HORRIBLE EVEN WITH AN APPT! The two older doctors dont seem like they should be working...I also dont know if they can really figure out what is wrong with you. But today was the worst, I had my physical therapy next door and came over for my check up. 10:30am was my appt time and i left at 12:30! One hour and 45 mins of just sitting in the lobby with a bunch of people then 30 mins of more waiting in the room for the doctor and etc. Talked to the doctor for like 5 mins and then waited just around 20ish more minutes till finally someone came in to give me my discharge papers. It's ridiculous, they all seem like a hot mess...they're singing and joking around in between patients rooms. As I write this I am inside waiting to be seen. I got here at 12:20 pm for my DR's Appt... BUT there were afew people in the waiting area. So I was sent to Physical Therapy first instead of waiting for the Doctor bcuz they were "So Busy" (Which Anna apologized for, Wonderfully sweet & Professional) and I was there ahead of time. (Maybe better time management would help folks) Needless to say....I FINALLY saw NOT the Dr,.. But the P.A. (PA-C doesn't listen very well and will talk over you, abit condescending) and apparently the M.D. side does not really confer notes with the Physical Therapy side reference patients who are seeing both. (Which might help in a Personal Injury lawsuit work related case...just sayin) Avoid this place. You're not really listened to, employees chit-chatting about their personal stuff while people are waiting. ONE Doctor,.. for such a busy facility?
