Came in for follow up to a visit at the concentra near metro center that I had to go to after a work accident. This ones closer to home. Called ahead and was told wait time is 20 to 35 minutes. Got there (15 mins after calling) and waited 2 hours before getting called back to be seen. Also, the girl at the counter had to call the other location to get my records, and I could hear her say my name date of birth and ssn from where I was sitting. Not a pleasant thing in a crowded room. At this point, I was in a room and told the dr would be about 15 mins. After an hour, I went out of the room to inquire about the eta and was assured I was next. Finally, got seen and got out. Pros: Care was good, place was clean, and I got to wear a gorgeous pair of paper shorts! Cons: Prepare for your visit as if you were reporting for jury duty at the north pole. I came to this urgent care/occupational health clinic for a simple pre-employment vaccination. It took hours for service that doesn't even require meeting with a physician. This, obviously, is not the staff or establishments fault, but be prepared to wait for extreme wait amounts of time for even basic/simple "procedures", occ health or otherwise. I even came twice throughout the day, once originally and was told it would take at least two hours; the second time i came back in what i was told were less busy hours. it took two hours to get a vaccine that took 8 seconds to administer. the US healthcare system sucks. read more

Employment drug test on a Thursday at 7pm review---- Setting: clean, well lit and near the airport, with a large lobby with plenty of magazines, a terrible movie on TV, a water cooler, and a keurig machine with lots of drink options Front desk: not too chipper or friendly but not rude either. Well-staffed and greeted me right upon entry and got me checked in ASAP. They couldn't seem to find my employer for some reason, so it probably took another 5 minutes longer than it should have. Drug test: well, it's a pee in the cup situation, nothing too exciting here. They didn't have the door wide open during the deed, which is a nice change. The gal was nice and friendly, friendlier than the front desk. Timing: I was in and out of the facility in less than 20 minutes. I asked if this was normal and they said it really just fluctuates, since they are open 24 hours a day and do a lot of workman's comp cases (amazon, airport employees, random walk-ins) Summary: maybe call before you stop by in case they are understaffed and especially if you need to see a provider (eg not just there for a urinalysis), but I was so very pleasantly surprised with Concentra! read more

I've had to visit this location several times and the average service is below average, although convenient because it is open 24/7. Most of the front desk staff has horrible communication. There are a few ladies that offer an update on your wait time without asking, and are helpful. But again, most act like you're ruining their day by simply walking in or asking a question (hello, this is your job). They are also often (what looks like) texting on their phones... which doesn't make me feel comfortable with them being able to see all of my personal information. I can't assume they're not sharing my information (probably safe to assume they could care less about who I am but still, doesn't make me feel at ease). When I had to attend physical therapy here (for a workers comp claim, so I HAD to come here), once more I felt unheard. There was 1 physical therapist I appreciated, but she works at the Tempe location so wasn't always available unless she was covering for someone. I believe the lack of listening is why my case has gone on for so long. I was given the same exercises no matter what was said, was discharged because "it was long enough", then ended up returning months later for the SAME injury. Maybe if they would have listened, I could have properly healed before returning to 'normal duty' & re-injuring myself. Most recently I was here for a 12:45p appointment & wasn't taken back to a room until I spoke up at 1:20p. Then didn't see the Dr until 1:40p, then had to wait to "check out" & wasn't helped until 2:22pm. Unfortunately, supply & demand, people might have to come here because of distance, time or work. Front desk staff, while not being outright rude, are just somewhat hostile in their tone and facial expressions. Clearly don't like to interact with patients. Was almost charged $40 for a check-up; it was clearly written on paperwork I handed in that this company mandated check-up was covered by company. I had to get a higher up to clarify for the front desk staff. Wait time was average for a UCC; check-up was somewhat brief. Doctor was clearly in a rush. HOWEVER doctor had me wait in my room after the check-up was complete, closing the door behind her (universal sign of "stay here.") I waited over an hour there until I got suspicious and poked my head out to ask around. They had completely forgotten about me. Apparently front desk staff had been calling my name for a while, and nobody had the foresight to check with the doctor, or my room. I don't even think I got an apology out of the experience from any staff present. To put this into perspective, I arrived at the UCC at around 3:30, and left at 7PM. This was all for a wellness check-up that lasted about 25 minutes and was nearly incorrectly charged to my own insurance. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because technically, I got what I needed out of the visit. UCC ARE FOR-PROFIT ENTITIES AND TERRIBLY MANAGED/RUN. GET YOURSELF A PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN. GO TO THE E.R. LITERALLY ANYTHING OTHER THAN A UCC. God forbid I have to return here for any reason whatsoever. read more

If you are doing a federal employment medical exam, have your agency reschedule you with another facility. What was supposed to take a max of 2.5 hours took 5. UA had to be done twice, blood draw had to be done twice, lost paperwork for a portion and have to redo. Absolutely NOT worth the headache. read more

If you are being sent here on a weekend for a follow up check up, be prepared to wait for 3 hours after checking in for your appointment time. The only answer they have is they only have one doctor. My daughter (minor) was scheduled here for a Sunday follow up check and with them knowing we live 32 miles away, we had to wait so long just to be seen. Long drive, long wait. There is a Concentra office that was closer that is open on Mondays but they scheduled it to be in this office instead of being there. I wish they can be more mindful to the employees time and pain but because they are being paid by the Employers (Workers Comp), I guess they dont really give a damn. read more

Everyone was pleasant and helpful except for Dr. Patel. When he was conversing with me about my situation he spoke in a very loud voice and kept interrupting my questions. I am a very intelligent person and I don't prefer to be cut off when I'm asking very polite and pertinent question. I did not like his bedside manner at all. I felt like just another cow being processed through their highly corporate-like system. This place obviously makes money by volume of care. I felt absolutely horrible when I left there. I was told that my application for my physical would be held until my return. It was not held. It was submitted without my approval and it really screwed up my situation. She was waiting in the patient room for 3 hours before she came in. I work in healthcare myself in the hospital setting, and had this happened in my occupation, I'd have lost my job. The lack of care is very present as this location. Not only was coming here a huge waste of time, but from walking in the door, until leaving not one interaction with the employees was a positive experience. I had physical therapy at this location today as my first visit. Everyone was very friendly and professional and the atmosphere was fun too. I had Matthew who was absolutely AWESOME! He was positive, uplifting and easy to talk with. He knew his stuff and made me feel comfortable for my first visit. I highly recommend if you need P/T to sign up at this location and meet this dynamic team especially Matthew. Just to get this started, I am normally a very patient person. I always try to look at situations from other perspectives, and understand that there is usually a reason why a business may be slipping a bit in their service. That being said, Concentra is one of the only places that makes me scratch my head in bewilderment as to how they can be so universally bad at providing a service. I've been to several Concentra facilities in the past; mostly just for physicals/drug screenings. Stuff that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes at most, always turns into a 1-2 hour wait just to be pulled from the waiting room. On one occasion, for an FAA physical with a DME, it took FOUR HOURS for the doctor to finally enter the exam room. All that waiting just for the doc to test my physical mobility and do a hernia check. Yesterday, I went in for yet another drug screen, and was told it was a 30-40 minute queue. Not bad, but not great, right? They didn't call my name for an hour and a half, just to do a simple pee test that took 5 minutes! If you're going to provide an estimated wait time, at least be realistic. I'll reluctantly give them 2 stars because the nurses were friendly, and the Phoenix clinic was clean on the inside, but I will always despise visiting a Concentra because I know I will be waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting. read more

I wish I could give negative five stars. I went to this site for a drug test on May 15th, 2021, and first waited for 4 hours to get my name called out. The same day I got vaccinated and was highly dehydrated and tired, so I stepped outside the premise for literally a minute to get a coffee and was exactly 3 minutes late when my turn came after 3+ hours. The front desk lady put my name at the end, and I had to wait for another 3 hours. I finally got done at 10:50 pm when I had reached the center at 5:00 pm. The worst is not even the wait. It's the insulting behavior, rude comments, and blatant disregard for the patient's condition, time, and needs by the front desk. Kindly look into this and terminate her if need be. Patients and job applicants deserve better. I could have lost my job because of the delay caused at this particular center, primarily because of the terrible attitude of the front desk lady. Had no help or assistance after injuring my foot. The lady sent my family out of the building (found out that Concentra doesn't have that rule) as I went to another Concentra today. As you can tell by the reviews, they aren't meeting customer satisfaction-not even close. Obviously the system they have isn't working. Which means they need to reevaluate and change their process for extremely long wait times. After over an hour of waiting I was told I haven't even been officially "checked in yet". Also was told there was three people ahead of me at point of initial walk in. It's unacceptable that the wait times are this long. Snack ,water, then apoke wit the doctor n ahe was very helpful to my needs. Walked out in a brace, crutches, med prescriptions. Very helpful to everything. The past concentras I've been to in California were shitty just lame. I liked this environment alot n all the other staff was awesome too. Very curtious, great customer service. Went in for a drug and test for a job, in 11:45am, out 12:15pm on a Wednesday afternoon. Really easy. You will have to fill out some paperwork before they add you to the queue so expect that and come early to do it! The actual test too like 5-10min. Closer to 5minutes. They had plenty of parking, so that was nice. read more

They were rude when I called....and the adjuster from my workers comp case said the doctor didn't even put in his report about my hernia so now I'm having to go to a completely different doctor and a completely different facility.... whatever you do don't waste your time at this location with this staff it's the worst place ever. they even had me doing weight lifts using my arms when I have a hernia in the front of my stomach totally didn't understand that one and neither did the adjuster or any other doctor. read more

Highly recommend . I come here more often than my primary care physician because the fee is less and for the walk-in convenience. The staff is excellent. They are very helpful, patient and courteous . The wait time can be long. Today, Friday afternoon, it was 2.5 hours. They told me this when I signed in. They were apologetic - many times over by several individuals. They offered water, coffee, and snacks. I had a book and my phone. Other times the wait is less than 45 minutes. It depends and there is no way to know unless you call ahead or just come in. Call ahead and compare other locations wait time. I rarely see the same doctor, though if I may need a follow-up, the doctor has told me his schedule. The doctors I have seen have all been MD's and they go out of their way to be helpful and informative. For example, today's doctor downloaded information about my illness and looked up the specific brand of medication that my insurance prefers. They listen and ask questions and have all been personable.. Two suggestions that would make the wait easier: Offer free Wi-Fi. Most businesses offer it and it seems with a place that can have long waits, complimentary Wi-Fi would be a nice feature. Lazy Boy recliners would be awesome too! Keeping the television volume low and having closed caption would be less intrusive for people wanting to read, work or listen to their own music. Most times someone calls a day or two later, asking for your opinion about your visit. This is a nice touch. read more
