In and out in 45 mins on a Saturday night. Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Clean waiting room as well as offered water to us. Came in on Saturday at 2:30pm waited to get into a room till 4:30ish sat in this room for over 2.5hrs with nothing told to us no dr came in. Had to go out of the room to look into the wait and was informed only 1 dr in the office and had to just wait. No info on how long or down the list was at just nothing other than you have to wait! If was not told had to come to this location for work related injury I would have been left! Can't believe this wait and all this staff that can at least be going around to each room letting patients knowing will be some time still and they didn't forget about them. Went here because it was 24 hours. The doctor was an D.O. not an M.D., you may be wondering what the difference is...several years of training. I had been sick to my stomach for days, lost 7lbs and she did nothing for me. Literally nothing. She acted like she didn't want to treat me. She asked over and over why I didn't go to my PCP. Considering I was complaining of severe abdominal pain and it was 4am apparently wasn't clear enough for her. I then asked if she could write me a note for work and she said "for today?". All reasons to stay away from this place and most D.O.s. the only reason I gave this place one star is because the medical assistant showed concern and was very nice. read more

I had a major knee blowout and waited an hour. My pain level was pretty high and I asked for ibuprofen, they said I had to wait. I wasnt seen for about 2 hours. I normally don't write negative reviews but this was a bit much. This was urgent care? Still though I smiled and thanked the Doctor, got a script for an MRI and for the ibuprofen. I wouldn't recommend this place unless it was the only place open. read more

I Have been coming here for over a month, before I was able to see a specialist, Charles Gagnon, DO. He was fantastic! He listened to what was going on with me, and knew what my issue was pretty immediately from my symptoms and his diagnostic survey. Very knowledgeable, nice, patient, and attentive. This place is the worst. I'm required to get my drug test and physical here or else I'd never go here. Told me twenty minutes for the wait. After over an hour she said the wait changed to four hours. So I decided to go back the next day. I made an appointment for the next day for 7 pm. At 1025pm I finally got called back to the room. Where I waited another hour. Just for a physical. Weigh me - take my blood pressure.. Are you kidding me? How does any business operate like this. The staff was nice (there's nothing they can do about being under staffed w doctors) but if this were any other field other than the medical field - waiting four hours past an appointment till 11 pm at night would be unacceptable. Want to the concentra in Phoenix, az with really extreme uti symptoms. As someone who constantly has UTIs, I know when I have one and was told that because my dipstick didn't show lukocytes, he couldn't give me anything. Bullshit! Uti testing strips are only 30% effective. I am a chronic uti sufferer who was crying in pain and felt that Darren the Worthless Pa who saw me didn't give a shit about me. I was consequently forced to go to the emergency room and pay 200.00 to be seen. He said "it'll take 3 days for us to culture your urine." Apparently he doesn't care if his patients suffer, good thing he isn't a female. Poor practice, he shouldn't be in the medical field. read more

I can't say enough great things about Concentra's Phoenix Airport Urgent Care. I came in via a work injury, and ultimately received care, and follow-up Physical Therapy. The facility is open 24 hours a day. It is super clean, and all who work there are professional and friendly. I was given some PT equipment so I could do additional therapy at home. I give it 5 stars. read more

You really can't be too picky about urgent cares because well, it's an urgent care. But anyways, this place is open 24 hrs and it's really helpful if you need one in the middle of the night or early morning when everyone else doesn't open until 8 or even later the next morning, and don't necessarily need to go to the hospital. I went to this location a few years ago when I got really sick and seriously felt like I was dying. Went around noon, so I expected a long wait. Was there for about 4 hours total and was a little miserable, but they fixed me and got the antibiotics I needed and I was a whole lot better two days later. This time I had to take my nana here for ripping her big toe open really badly, we got here super early in the morning so we didn't have to wait long. They got her toe wrapped up better than we did, and their podiatrist was on site luckily that day so we got an appt with him at his home office later that day. Overall, communication and treatment for us was fine and we didn't have any problems with anyone or anything else. So hopefully that continues if we need to go here again. However, they don't give you their privacy practice paper right away when they ask you to fill out the paperwork, so ask for that before you sign the paperwork that you got it and understand it. Also don't be afraid to ask the doctors and nurses questions if you don't understand/know what they're doing and just want clarification, it's their job to inform you and make sure you know what's going on and it's your right to know/accept/decline. read more

I haven't heard anything good about these guys I fell off a ladder at work the first doctor told me I could return to full work duty the next day lol well long story short after seeing 3 concertra doctors found out I tore my acl and fractured my meniscus in my knee and need surgery yet they still try to send me back to work only messing with my workman's comp. I think removing the word urgent is appropriate. Prepare to wait for quite awhile.. Especially for something as little as a drug screening. It's a very popular area for business to do their drug screening since it is right by the airport. The staff was courteous for the most part. Some of the staff seems young and nervous.. But as far as service goes, they kept it professional and organized. read more

I'm leaving this place a negative star. So here is how this place is a nightmare. Start off with the fake smile's and the The attitude of I am in a position of authority from the ladies behind his desk. Now couple that with the policies and broken credit card machine and you get a miniature nightmare. So I arrive for my appointment on time to pay out-of-pocket and they say I must pay before anyone will even talk to me. I hand the lady my Credit card and she informs me that they are only excepting cash for the last month or so. I look in my wallet and I have $160. The appointment cost $170. I go to the nearest ATM to pull out a 20 I come back with $180 and the lady tells me oh you must have exact change sir. So this lady is a real BIT CH because she knew darn well and lacked the foresight and courtesy to tell me to only bring exact change after demanding cash only. At this point I've already been waiting an hour and I'm frustrated and I tell her just keep the $10 I don't care. Unbelievably she refuses and tells me that I will not be seen until I had her exact cash. I sit there and wait for about another three hours because the first doctor refused to see me and I had to wait for another one To come in for second shift. Think I waited there for about four hours altogether for them just to refer me to get an MRI and take my blood pressure. Highly unprofessional place of business That clearly does not want to render service to anyone who is not insured. Sure they're not going to deny you service but they're going to make it really hard for you as hard as they possibly can to where you're so frustrated you just want to walk out. read more

I'm writing this on behalf of my husband who is a truck driver and required to come to Concentra for his medical card to drive. If you need your physical for work, DO NOT COME HERE!! Here is why: 1. They required him to do additional screening with no information of what he needed to clear his physical. He has had to contact and return to this office 4 times within the last month. The information that was given to him today could have easily been explained in his first visit...but why do that right?? If you do not clearly explain things, then you can change the rules as you go along. And bill the insurance for each new "issue". Seems legit. 2. Because he was not able to complete his screening within the deadline, he was unable to work for a week. In the meantime, he was able to get his medical card from another medical facility here with no issues, no additional screenings. When he was given his card today, they told him that he needed to return in a month because he needed 30 days screening. Why would you not tell someone that when you required it?!!! If the process is consistent, wouldn't the dr/nurse tell him that they weren't going to sign off for 30 days?!! oh wait...because that's another few visits you can get out of him and his insurance. 3. If you value your time, just stay away. A clean office shouldn't be a luxury and friendly staff shouldn't be a big enough deal to write a good review. Clean and friendly isn't going to pay the bills. The only blessing in this is the company he works for is seeing a recurring issue with Concentra and is looking into moving their contract. read more

I went here because it was 3am, I had been sick for almost 24 hours to my stomach and wanted some answers and/or relief. I don't have insurance so I was trying to do the responsible thing and avoid the ER. I took a cab all the way there because I don't have a car and I was the only one there when I got there. I filled out the paperwork and about 10 minutes later they brought be back. The doctor took almost an hour to come in. Keep in mind my belly was killing me and I was nauseous. Basically he told me they couldn't do any tests and that I should just wait it out or go to the ER. He seemed annoyed when I asked questions. He wrote me some prescriptions and I had to wait for awhile in the waiting room to get them. For the only 24 hour facility in Phoenix, I'm really sad that they can't provide better service. I'm going to my regular doctor today which I should have just waited to do so. read more

Terrible place to go if you need any sort of medical help. I had called my insurance's 24hr nurse line for intense shooting back pain. I was instructed to go in immediately for an XRay. Front desk lady was rude, told me she has never heard of my insurance and just shrugged, I have blue cross blue shield. When I am finally back with the nurse practitioner in a huge room with other patients getting my blood pressure and heart rate checked he started asking me about my health history and other personal questions in front of everyone. Cut to finally being seen by Dr. Hakkarainen, he was rushing through his questions and interrupting me before I could explain what was happening. I had to stop him, told him he was being a dick and needed to slow down and listen to me or find me another doctor. His snarky attitude skyrocketed and he told me to stop being so vague with my answers. I am not a doctor. I don't know why I am in pain. So how am I supposed to give him specific answers? He is supposed to tell ME what is wrong. When I finally got his attention I asked for an X-ray he interrupted me yet again saying "I am getting there". He blew off my request and said he was just going to give me pain meds and I'll be on my way. I did not come in and pay nearly $300 to be ignored and have pain pills thrown at me and turned out. After he was done talking at me he told me to go and left me in the room to figure my way out by myself. I went to another doctor the following day and was given the X-ray I had originally asked of Dr. H, come to find out I have a bulging disc and my lumbar vertebrae are fusing to my sacrum. I'm being required to go in for more testing to see how bad the problems in spine really are. Thanks for the waste of time and money and all the frustrations and pain you left me with. I went to this clinic since it was the only one open 24/7. I had horrible pain running from my ear all the way down to my shoulder. From the get go, the ladies at the check in seemed rude and annoyed by my presence. I asked them to check if my BCBS insurance would cover for the UC visit (it recently changed and it was my first time using it) and they refused to do it. I ended up leaving in pain because they were unable to help me. read more

I arrived at this place friday night around Midnight. i was attacked by a dog; had a laceration on eyelid and a deep bite wound on my calf. I mentioned to them that i didnt have health insurance and i could tell right off the bat that I was going to be treated differently. They led me inside to have a look at me. The doctor had a glimpse at me and said "hey you'e going to need cosmetic surgery or trauma surgeon for that laceration and those puncture wounds". We left within 5 minutes and went to the ER, got my wounds cleaned up and a few sutures and didnt need any sort of surgery. The doctor straight up lied, I would assume because he did not want to deal with someone who didnt have insurance. I understand but at least be honest and have some integrity. My wife got hurt at work and they told her to go to this Concentra here. We waited for 3 hours for a shabby, dirty, unkempt doctor to come in for 3 minutes. Other than telling us her foot wasn't broken, he didn't do anything to diagnose what was actually wrong with it. She had to tell him 3 times that it wasn't her ankle that hurt. He prescribed her crutches and ibuprofen. Fast forward 3 days to her follow up appointment. Her appointment was pre-scheduled, she has now been down there for 2.5 hours past her appointment time, hasn't been seen yet, and they keep telling her another 40 minutes. I can understand them being a little behind, but not this much and especially with nobody else there. Based on the service from the first doctor, this exam should only take 1.5 minutes to complete. This facility is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. I recommend that anybody considering going here to reconsider. Drive across town, call an ambulance, pay extra to go to an emergency room, whatever you need to do to avoid this office. They are disrespectful, inconsiderate, incompetent, and they haven't even figured out how to use a clock..........IS THIS THE KIND OF PLACE YOU WANT TO TREAT YOUR MEDICAL EMERGENCY??? read more
