Had a scheduled appointment and I waited around for 30 minutes- business was a no-show. I called…read morethe business- no answer, left a message to find out where they were. No call back but recovers an "email" back later that night, saying they were caught up with another project. Explained to them how unprofessional it was and how this inconvenienced me and all they had to do was stay in contact and communicate their inability to keep their appointment but apparently, that is not important to them or earning potential business. Apologies after the fact don't mean much- especially when a potential customer has to hunt you down to find out why you didn't show to a scheduled appointment, and then you don't return their call- you email them. Seriously unprofessional.

My Mom's 1960's ranch house has had water issues since I was a child. She was fiercely independent…read moreand never wanted her children to help manage the house up until a few years ago. Her basement was a mess! Beyond it being filled with decades of stuff, the walls were "weeping" and a large puddle was forming in one portion of her basement. John did a walk-through with me and thoroughly explained what was occurring. I signed the estimate, which kindly included him and his staff moving all the "stuff" away from the walls to the center of the basement. H-U-G-E task. Before the job started we hit an unexpected bump in the road (the removal of some asbestos floor tiling, which NYS required licensed professionals to handle). John calmly walked me through the process and was able to work with me and my timeline. All throughout the project John would update me, even sending me pics, when I was not able to get over to Mom's house. He was honest about his abilities, and took the time to meet with me and answer questions after the project was completed and paid for. I found John and his company to be trustworthy and reliable and only wish they did home renovation so I could hire them to do work in my house.

Bonnie of Bonnie B cleaning has been cleaning my home for the past 5 years. A long time. The…read morequality, products she uses, and pricing of her service is top-notch. Everything is always, as she says, and does, is "polished to a shine." Every room, every corner, every surface. She always makes me, as her client, feel important. Even though I see her regularly she always contacts me the day before the clean to say hello and let me know what time she will be arriving, an added bonus. As we all know, COVID-19 has been a challenge. She takes this crisis seriously using the proper guidelines of social distancing to eliminate any exposure. Spending as much time at home as we have to do now has made her professional service and smile even more valuable. She is a true professional, who I am pleased to highly recommend.

I have used Bonnie about 5 times, both for my personal home and for move outs of rental properties…read more I started with her when she worked for someone else, and then when she went out on her own. Her cleaning is a bit all over the place. Sometimes it was thorough and other times she missed a bunch of stuff. And every time, she arrived either hours late or not at all. It was very frustrating, especially once when I was counting on her to clean before a huge party I was having. She was scheduled to arrive on Friday at noon and kept texting me with hourly updates saying she was finishing up at another house and running late, then getting gas, then on her way, then actually she stopped for more supplies, etc. By 4, she still hadn't arrived and the party was the next day. I was really annoyed and she apologized profusely, promising she would be there promptly at 9am the next morning. Well, of course, she didn't show up until about 10am. By this point, I was really frazzled and ended up just cleaning a bunch myself because I had no idea whether she was coming or not. It was a good thing because she cleaned just the downstairs and then told me she would need to come back because the new supplies she bought weren't doing a good job. Whatever. At least no guests were going upstairs. So she was scheduled to come back and finish on Tuesday. However, Tuesday came and went and NO Bonnie. I didn't bother to call her again for my own house because I can't deal with that. But then we needed a cleaner for a rental move out and my usual person wasn't available, so I gave her a call. I told her exactly what needed to be done, in two phases, and my budget. She agreed and things went smoothly the first time. However, at the second clean, she again didn't show up on time and cleaned things I specifically told her not to do (i.e. floors that were getting refinished the next day, etc) and didn't clean things I specifically asked for (i.e. inside cabinets, drawers, oven warming drawer, the top of the stove, dusting, etc). And to top it off, she actually tried to guilt trip me for cleaning what I'd told her not to do, and then charged $50 over my budget. I sent her pictures of what wasn't done and she completely denied it--and then told me to "F--- off." Yep. She did. She actually texted those words. Wow. Later, she actually apologized and said she was embarrassed by her behavior. We talked it through and she agreed to give me a refund due to the lack of work done and for her "poor customer service". However, 3 weeks of excuses later, I am still waiting for that refund. And I had to hire someone else to do the work that she didn't do. In summary, don't hire Bonnie. You don't need that kind of crazy in your life.
