I had a consultation and treatment session with Riann Bullock a couple weeks ago. I have chronic neck/shoulder pain, joint and muscle stiffness in my legs from running, and gut issues. Riann listened to my concerns and devised a treatment plan catered to my needs. After our acupuncture session, she also incorporated cupping on my back and on one side of my hip where I was having some pain. I walked out feeling so rejuvenated, and was in much less pain. The office is also clean and well kept. It was a little chilly in the room, and since you have needles pricked into your skin, you can't exactly be under the covers. In May 2016, I found Lisa at Conception Wellness by chance when I was the sickest I had ever been with my autoimmune disease. My GI doctor told me that there was no other way for me that wasn't steroids or surgery. I told him that there had to be another way, because one day I wanted to have another baby without being on harmful medications and on my own. That same month, I met Amy and she brought me to Lisa. Within 6 months, I was in complete remission. I finally didn't have pain every day and I had so much relief that I was able to go grocery shopping, hold my toddler, and even start going to school for acupuncture myself. This review is long overdue as I have been coming to CW to see Riann and Becky since December 2020. Battling secondary infertility and my shock over a failed embryo transfer, I frantically reached out to them to see if they could help gear me up for my next one in a few weeks. After that failed as well, I took a break from IVF and worked with Rian to assess my hormonal needs, nourish my body, and focus on my mental health as I was completely shell shocked and too terrified to even try transferring my third and final embryo. These appointments became the highlight of my week and I counted the days until the next one. With Riann's encouragement, I finally felt comfortable and healthy enough to go through with the procedure about six months later and we were able to achieve our miracle. I had a recent one-time back injury from playing sports, that left me in a lot of pain, where I couldn't sleep through the night. Though I was slowly improving the next few days, I still needed pain relieving patches, and the soreness was deep and not just surface level. I've tried PT and going to a chiropractor for past injuries, but was hesitant because of their lack of previous efficacy, and wanted to try acupuncture for the first time. Dealing with infertility is very expensive and emotionally draining. When I first heard of Conception Wellness, I wanted to go but I was worried that it would just be another thing that I spent money on with no results. I had already spent so much money on infertiliy and my husband and I were saving for in vitro. Going to CW was the BEST money I've ever spent. I live a few hours away from CW, but it was definitely worth the drive, and I was able to have several phone appointments as well. If you are on the fence- please jump over it and try CW. Because of my two in person appointments and several phone appointments with Lisa, I now have a beautiful four month old daughter who was conceived naturally. (We had gone through 3 years with unexplained infertility, had seen many REs, two IUIs and were told we had a 1% chance of conceiving without in vitro). Being diagnosed with "unexplained infertility" was so frustrating because I knew deep down that something was wrong. However, all of the doctors I saw just wanted me to follow protocol without finding the underlying problem. I was worried that if I went through with IVF not knowing what was causing my infertility, that it would not work. Throughout my journey, I saw many RE's, naturopathic doctors, and acupuncturists etc . No one analyzed all of my data, blood tests, fertility charts etc. the way Lisa did. She also put in orders for very thorough blood tests to make sure my thyroid and hormones were at the right levels. (I feel like the other docs just checked them once and were not interested). The most important thing was that Lisa suggested I get an SHG (diffferent from the HSG which I had already done). No one else ever told me about the SHG. Long story short, when I had the SHG, they found a polyp in my uterus. Polyps can make the uterine environment inhospitable. After finding the polyp, Dr. Tsai (an awesome OB who Lisa recommended) did a hysterscopy and removed it. Much to my surprise, a few months after the surgery I got pregnant. I should have written this review a long time ago. I am so thankful for Conception Wellness and all of the guidance, support and advice I was given during my journey with infertility. Mother Roasting / Mother Warming / Moxa On Friday I had my appointment at Conception Wellness for the Mother Warming Treatment with Michelle. For those not in the know Mother Warming or Mother Roasting is the age old practice of combining acupuncture with the burning of Moxa over the uterus. It is recommended for 2 weeks postpartum to help shrink the uterus, shrink loose skin, settle the organs, align the spine, and aid with healing by creating more blood flow to the area. I must say, it was pretty awesome. I didn't know what to expect when I arrived. Michelle explained the treatment and was more than willing to answer any questions or concerns that I had. We talked about my birth and the healing process I was going through. First you lay back and get your acupuncture. Next Michelle gets you ready for the "campfire". The Roasting was done with what I can only explain is an incense stick on a shoebox size wooden burner. The box is placed on your belly with the Moxa burning a few inches above your bare skin. Yes, it's quite warm in the beginning, but Michelle explains how to alleviate the warmth. Then you sit back and relax. After a few minutes the warmth subsides due to acclimation and the embers cooling. It's hard not to just nod off. Michelle then comes in and gently massages your belly. I felt very relaxed and cozy afterwards. Personally I don't tend to feel results with acupuncture right away, but I cannot deny that it has helped me dramatically after only a few treatments. I believe this works in the same way. You leave feeling warm and cozy and ready for a nap. Later in the evening I felt some uterine cramping, I passed a bit of blood (I hadn't bled in a couple of days), and the cramping subsided. I was told by Michelle that this could happen as my uterus would be actively shrinking over the next couple of days. This was the only discomfort I felt. I believe the treatment was successful and very relaxing. I would most definitely recommended it to you ladies because l believe any healing will help. I also wanted to point out that during my last 6 weeks of my pregnancy I was being monitored for low of amniotic fluid. (My fluid was measuring at a 4 at 34 weeks) After a supplement recommendation by Michelle my number never dipped below 10. read more

My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for about 10 months with no luck. Everyone kept telling me the same thing, don't stress about it so much. I absolutely love this place! Everyone is so sweet, always asks how I am doing and offers suggestions. I've been coming here for severe morning sickness. This is my third pregnancy and it has been the one with the least severe nausea and I attribute it in part to acupuncture. I've seen both Lisa and Michele and they are both great. Lisa is an amazing practitioner. I first went to her years ago for persistent morning sickness and, although I was very skeptical, I was desperate. After my first session with Lisa, I was convinced since, to my amazement, it worked! I see her now for some ongoing "female" and digestive issues. Her treatments and supplements (although not always delicious!) have helped me and now she sees my Mom and sister too. The first thing that struck me is what a detailed history she took and how much time she took to listen and clarify everything I was telling her. As a nurse, I know how rare that is for a western practitioner. She is empathetic and seems genuinely concerned for her patients' well being. Her office is really nice, treatment rooms and beds are cozy, warm and relaxing. I am reluctant to get off that bed at the end of a relaxing acupuncture treatment. I think this is the perfect place to go especially for ppl who are new to acupuncture or chinese medicine. Lisa is also a nurse, so she is able to converse about western treatments and medications that most of us use (or have tried) and can then offer a different perspective that may prove helpful. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would do just that!! Lisa and her staff have been instrumental in my long term health. Several years ago, Lisa noted I had a swollen thyroid gland. She encouraged me to have blood tests done. Low and behold, Lisa was correct....I had an autoimmune thyroid disorder. Most recently, Lisa's acupuncture helped me recover from a fractured vertebrae. Bottom line... Lisa is on another level. For a "standard " acupunturist they can put the needles & go but not Lisa. She is most thorough healthcare professional I have ever met. She spends time to get to the root of the problem. They are not only into conception but wellness over all. She was very close by & after being tired of driving so far (to see another acupunturist) I tried her for a knee injury & she helped me above & beyond!!
