He gave us his time, listened, answered every question, and helped us find hope in our hardest days. Our first nurse, Amy, treated us like family. She really went above and beyond with our care. When she moved, we could tell the care turnover was done well and that no shortcuts were taken. Ashley, our new nurse, knew everything about our situation. Ashley gave the same amount of care and time that Amy did. The whole team made us feel truly cared for, like family, and not just patients. These two years have tested us with ups and downs more than we thought we could bear. But with support from the HRC San Diego team, we never felt alone. I scheduled an appointment that was several months in the future for well visit and to discuss other concerns. I was told any other reasons would have to be scheduled during a separate visit. When I tried to schedule the separate visit with the scheduler for the same day as my wellness appointment she told me their Medical Assistant indicated the insurance would deny my visits and I would be responsible for paying for my visit. I asked clarification and requested to speak to a Manager or someone in charge. After waiting someone named Emily got on the line. She was unprofessional and unfriendly. She didn't even identify who she was, nor did she confirm who I was. She was clearly annoyed that she was asked to speak with me. When I asked for clarification on what I was told in regard to my future visit she did not offer any information. I requested the matter be escalated to a higher level. She was so rude she hung up abruptly without even saying good bye. I later found out Wendy Buchi canceled my appointment. She never spoke with me. She's definitely not holding her staff accountable for their interactions with patients. It's pretty low a healthcare provider would cancel a patient's appointment without speaking with them. The practice is unfairly targeting a patient for requesting their concerns be escalated. Also, refusing to answer questions or provide clarification to their patients.

She acted as if San Diego's only qualified radiologists work at ucsd, pleeeeeassse. Get over yourself. This city is chocked full of qualified radiologists, to suggest any other imaging center is incompetent was absurd. She then said "I don't think this is working out", yeah, no crap, you just want to empty my wallet and cut me open. She offered no alternatives, I have to ask her for everything and then she says, "sure, but it won't work". Awesome bedside manner, I'd recommend going anywhere else if you don't appreciate being spoken to in a condescending tone while being denied care because your doctor is too sensitive to take any pushback on their terrible ideas. Chat gpt had better ideas than she did. If she's your doctor, run, don't walk to any other provider.

The office is clean and tastefully decorated which one would expect in La Jolla. I really like Dr. Buchi and would highly recommend her to my friends and family. BTW I think its extremely uncool to give such a low rating to a business because you don't like the person that answers the phone. IMO Dr. Buchi is a 5-star service provider. I was referred to acupuncturist Jeneanne Paden by my primary care physician, whose wife had been helped by Jeneanne while trying to get pregnant. Having already received several treatments with an acupuncturist in La Mesa and another "fertility"acupuncturist in Kearny Mesa, I was not really in the mood to visit yet a third acupuncturist on what was then a demoralizing journey of infertility two years in the making. But I'm so glad that I did. Jeneanne is not only an effective acupuncturist with a deep understanding of acupuncture for fertility needs, she is a tremendous resource for fertility patients. She has worked with many of the reproductive endocrinologists in San Diego for years and knows their reputations and their areas of success. In fact, after failed procedures with no fewer than four other endocrinologists, Jeneanne gently urged me to try a specialist in another city. The only reason I worked up the energy to visit yet a fifth fertility doctor was because Jeneanne suggested it. And it worked. Were it not for Jeneanne's guidance married with her healing acupuncture treatments, I do not see how I could have had my first child over a year ago. I truly cannot express how grateful I am for her care. She is a true healer, treating both the body and psyche of those on the difficult road of trying to start a family. I am so grateful for the care I got, whether I was going to go into labor naturally at 39+4 or if it was the acupuncture that got things started, coming every week the last stretch of my pregnancy really helped my nervous system and encouraged much needed rest before giving birth. The office is also clean and well kept. It was a little chilly in the room, and since you have needles pricked into your skin, you can't exactly be under the covers. They do have heat lamps to keep you toasty though. I will certainly be back for another session with Riann.

This was my first experience doing acupuncture and trying Eastern medicine but she made me feel so comfortable and cared for. We were able to focus on trying to naturally induce labor, and I was able to see her twice before my baby came. She was incredibly thoughtful and followed up after my delivery to check-in and see how I was doing. Fast forward to my second baby, I scheduled more regular visits for some other minor complications. Over the course of my visits, she also checked in on other symptoms and helped me feel better with things like congestion and other minor aches. With both babies, I had quick and healthy deliveries! Prior to this, I had tried two other places and have decided to continue to receive treatment here. for me, I was looking for a practice I felt comfortable going to regularly and consistently. While there has been some confusion with the front desk regarding billing, the owner, Marc, has been helpful in clearing things up. I have found Katie to be knowledgeable and warm. Her confidence in me has been super helpful and I like all the tips and nutritional/supplement information. As for the treatment itself, the needles don't hurt and it's a relaxing experience. Acupuncture is a practice that I wasn't super familiar with. However I have a friend who swears by it. improving blood flow, nutrition/diet tips and having that resource/advocate has certainly been beneficial. Also not all places take insurance but I am glad this practice takes mine as regular treatments can add up over time! That was a big reason I decided to switch from a previous provider who I liked as paying out of pocket for regular care would add up. parking is easy and the location is convenient.
