Of course, we have our favorite places in other cities, but you can't drive to Hayward just for a snack. I come for the pupusas, but the kids like their tacos and quesadillas. Mind you that pupusas take 15 minutes to cook, but it's worth the wait. Last time, I called ahead and then drove over to meet the truck 10-15 minutes later. This truck apparently stops at various locations on different days before going over to O'Reilly Auto Parts. I've seen them by Corwood Car Wash and on Sierra Court. It's good to phone ahead just to confirm their location before you drive around looking for them. The O'Reilly parking lot turned out to be really convenient for me because I remembered that I needed something for my car. I was able to run into the store and pick it up and get out just as my pupusas were finishing cooking.

I told the male who took the order that I can't eat salsa or anything at all spicy. I left there and went to eat my tacos. The first bite I took was so loaded with spicy salsa (it was not visible to me, it was night and it was dark). I took a bite of the second taco to make sure I wasn't imagining things. That 2nd taco was just as spicy. My b mouth was on fire and i had trouble catching my breath. I went back to the taco truck and very nicely explained the situation to the same male who took my order. He just stood there and looked at me as if he were puzzled about what I was saying. The cook decided to jump in and said to me, "you said you wanted everything on the taco." I said, "no, that's not what I said at all." He repeated the same thing again. The order taker did nothing but look at me. I asked if they could remake the tacos and the cook said, "no." He didn't even hear me order, because I was standing there still while the cook asked the order guy what I ordered. They were both very bad customer service people. The food wasn't good at all, but then it was hard to taste due to being doused with super hot salsa. I spent $10 for 2 tacos and I had to throw them away.

There's plenty of parking in the lot and along the street. There's no seating; it's just pick up and go! I stopped by after studying in the coffee shop right next door! There was one lady running the show--taking orders and cooking up the food! She was awesome, and the food came out pretty quickly. I got an asada taco and an al pastor tacos with everything--salsa, onions, and cilantro, along with grilled onions, grilled jalapeño, and radish on the side. My one qualm is that I wish I had more salsa! So next time I go, I'll definitely ask for more. Other than that, it was good! Definitely a solid spot. You won't be disappointed eating here. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely get more tacos or try out other things. Yum!!!
