    Chorizo Breakfast Burrito
    Maira B.

Went in for a pan dulce, since my son loves his pan, and I decided to buy a breakfast burrito. OMG! so good, I was not expecting such a big burrito. It was delicious, chorizo, egg, potato, guac, cheese, salsa on the side. The lady at the counter was really nice, good store. And of course as always good Pan. I am definitely going back.

I was craving for conchas and didn't want to drive all the way to Turlock. I looked at yelp and found this little gem. It's a Mexican market and they have their baked goods at the back. I like how they have a little printout sign that has each and every bread they have so you know what you're getting more or less. The breads are fresh. The prices are pretty reasonable. I will definitely go back here again.

    Delicious Tres leche cake

The best Tres lecha cake, easy ordering and tons of options to choose from. I know we've ate here too and have always enjoyed everything but can't think of what we tried. I'll update once i return.

I wasn't very hungry, so I opted for a bowl of soup with a side of cornbread and a slice of pie to go. The soup was hearty and plentiful. I could have gone for a cup instead, but instead took what I couldn't eat to-go and enjoyed it later. The corn bread was delicious--slightly sweet, and moist enough to not fall apart when I cut into it with my fork. I usually love butter with corn bread, which they offered me, but it didn't need it. I wasn't sure which pie to get-they have so many to pick from. Checking out the options in the bakery case didn't help because they all looked so beautiful. I ended up selecting peach, and it was amazing. The peaches were perfectly caramelized but still maintained their texture. The bake of the pie brought out their ultimate peachiness. The crust was just the right thickness. Even though it was a cold slice, the crust remained flakey. The cafe had ample seating. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Pricing is on the high end, but I'm not sure how much that is because food is so expensive now-a-days. I was a bit surprised to see sandwich combos (with a side) all starting at around $20, and going up from there. It was after 2 in the afternoon, so the bakery had several 50% off boxes of baked goods to select. Four large cookies for I believe $12 or so (I could be wrong). There weren't too many options left in the bakery cases. I would love to see what this place offers when it first opens. Stay tuned for an update once I get that chance.

The young man provided me with excellent customer service and very helpful before I purchased it. The ambiance is a small establishment, order your food, some tables to sit, and like a small market. I need to go back and check out their food menu. They sell different types of papusas and other food items. The parking lot is small and hopefully, you can find some parking, I had no problem since I arrived at 3:30 pm. If you are in the area of Merced try them out if you are craving Mexican authentic pan dulce-sweet bread. Go try them out and go get you some.

Instead, they initially told me I would have to drive back to pick up the missing item. Since the mistake was on their end, I politely asked if they could provide a complimentary item of equal value for the inconvenience of having to make another trip. I was told they couldn't do that. I then had to drive back just to receive a cash refund. After sharing my experience in a Google review, the owner responded with a version of events that is inaccurate, stating that I asked for three additional pupusas afterward. That is not what happened. It's disappointing not only to have received poor customer service by a staff member insinuating to my husband that I asked for a free plate or free pupusas but also to feel that my experience was misrepresented publicly. Unfortunately, this experience has cost them customers and I won't be returning. We've spent hundreds of dollars supporting this local business because we understand that in order for a local business to thrive they need the support of the local community. However due to their actions we will no longer support it.
