We spent two days in Cape Town with organized dinners, tours and wine tasting. We transferred to private reserves and lodges managed by "and Beyond" and spent 12 days at three different reserves and lodges on wonderful "game drives" where we saw all the wild animals we went to Africa to see, up close and personal. The lodges and food were great and our whole experience was managed by the &Beyond teams as arranged by John. It was a great experience!

Given the choice to book travel myself and cut off my pinky finger or work with these guys again, goodbye pinky finger. Whenever I have a question, I get snotty and argumentative answers from Alex. I get tons of calls from them asking for information they could have covered in one call. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot when they wanted to book my flights at a higher cost than I could find them online and I decided I'd rather book myself and pay less. But ever since then every conversation feels like a battle with someone who thinks they are too good for me, as opposed to a helpful call with a professional. They also told me that I couldn't take a flight home that left before noon because I wouldn't be able to get there from our cruise. So I called the cruise to confirm, and they said that I should be able to take any flight after 10am. So the travel agency was programming in an extra two hours of sitting in an airport. Honestly, theses guys are making everything worse, not better. I would pay more to NOT have to deal with this company ever again.

I was a loyal AAA customer for many years with a clean driving record and no at-fault accidents,…read moreyet my premiums continued to increase year after year with little explanation. Instead of rewarding long-term, low-risk customers, it felt like my loyalty was taken for granted. The cancellation process was even more frustrating. After I switched to a different insurance company, I was asked to provide proof of my new insurance. I believed this was simply to verify that I had continuous coverage. Instead, my policy was reprorated in a way that resulted in me owing additional money. I felt misled because this was never clearly explained before I sent the documentation. To make matters worse, I was able to get full coverage on my 2023 GMC Yukon through ASI for about half of what AAA was charging me. That made it even more obvious how overpriced my policy had become despite my excellent driving record. Overall, my experience left me disappointed. After being a customer for so many years, I expected more transparency, fairer pricing, and better treatment during the cancellation process. I can't recommend AAA based on my experience. Their behavior is predatory and they will lead you to believe that cheaper insurance is hard to find, when in fact there are many good options. This review is not based on the individuals at this local but for the AAA SoCal division and the corporate policies as a whole. This corporation is encouraging price gouging and I am sure there employees need to follow policy in order to stay employed. I regret supporting this company for as long as I have and I think what was once a wholesome business has declined over the last decade.

This hotel is absolutely charming, with a gloriously comfortable bed and cute little patios that…read moreyou can enjoy their delicious croissants and coffee on in the morning, and a glass of wine in the evening. It's walking distance to the main part of downtown and there is a pizza and a Mexican restaurant across the street. My only real gripe is how hard they're pushing guests to buy their snacks and wine-- the room has not one but two pieces of furniture loaded with premixed cocktails, a bottle of wine, snacks, and bottled mineral water. They don't allow "outside food" in common areas, whose definition was never clear to me- does it include the patios in front of the rooms? So I felt like a criminal bringing in takeout for dinner, but there is no food onnthe premises other than various kinds of overpriced chips and cookies. They don't let you bring outside wine in common areas, either, which might have something to do with licensing or might just be trying to make you buy their wine. So we waited until it was dark and no one was around to enjoy our outside wine on the patio. But we didn't get in trouble so maybe it was ok. They're also really promoting their bath products, for sale in their little gift shop, along with membership in their hotel chain for "rewards." The website says pet friendly and indeed, dogs are allowed in all rooms-- $50 each is a little steep for pet charge though. The website says there's something for pets in the room but there was none in our room, even though we booked in advance. I don't really care that much but if they say it, they should do it. There were also some rich women guests who looked at me like I was a homeless person or space alien, but other guests I met in the breakfast room were normal and friendly. But basically, it's a hotel oriented toward well-off "classy" wine tourists, and if you're not one of those, you might feel a little awkward here. (I did.) But it's a lovely, comfortable little room with charming grounds, probably nice for a romantic getaway without your dogs.

If you're seeking an offbeat retro remodeled motel with terrific front service, room appointments,…read morenice grounds and wonderful accommodations, check out the Farmhouse Motel. The property was easy to find and close to downtown Paso. Our Room was clean and the bed comfy. Sure the bathroom was the size of one on a cruise ship, but they made the most of the space and the bath products were nice. Prob locally made, which we support. Decor was bright and eclectic- also possibly representing local artists. Wine tasting happens from 3-5p (bummer I didn't know and got the text at 615p). Next time. Heads up. The front desk closes at 10p but the desk reminds you every evening. One of the best things? Continental breakfast in the lobby...don't miss the locally baked croissants- they rival ones we had in France. Will I return? Absolutely!! I'd forgo the hotel giants for this slice of heaven.
