Our Whale tour was so much fun. I'm definitely coming back. The staff was phenomenal.

While on vacation, my friend and I went in a boat ride of Morro Bay. The reservation was super easy to make. I called day-of and was able to book a tour. I traveled here in spring, so I don't know what summer bookings look like. The ride is about an hour long. We went on the booze Tiki cruise. The drinks were rather large. They offered two sizes, we got the smaller size and that was perfect for me. I was super excited that I was able to bring my dog! I paid for my 2 dogs, I only brought on (the other is 18 and he had been out all day, he was asleep in his kennel). They don't do Refunds, but I was supposed to get a drink pass, but I don't think I did? I didn't realize until way later, though. There was also a goat on the cruise! I like to call it, "The Story of a Dog, a Goat and a Boat". I think the boat only held about 22 or 24 people. It wasn't super cold on the boat. We were pretty shielded. Remember, people might be drinking, so it can get loud! I'm giving them 5 stars just on the fact that I could bring my dog! I can't say that she loved it (she was scared, she had never been on a boat before), but thank you for a fun experience. read more

We got lucky with beautiful clear and calm day. Saw both Blue and Humpback whales. The boat ride itself was fantastic with an informative and friendly guide. Parking was super easy with clean public restrooms. Very easy to find the check-in location in a nice area. We came up from Avila Beach so it was a nice excursion to see Morro Bay. read more

We have been to Morro Bay a few times now. I did not know until our most recent trip that there are daily boat tours around the calmer waters in the harbor area. Since it was my dad's birthday, we decided to book a reservation for our family. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a tiki cruise boat tour. Lost Isle Adventures is located in a nice area along the wharf in beautiful Morro Bay. Parking is accessible along the streets and parking lots. The tiki boat looked fun and inviting for families. There was a thatch roof which was perfect for shade which I appreciated. Our boat was fairly big enough to fit about 22 or more passengers. The boat captain was welcoming and friendly. He did a great job looking for marine wildlife and cruising the scenic harbor route along side the majestic Morro rock as the backdrop. The bartender was very nice and knowledgeable. He did a great job making some tasty tiki cocktails and mocktails. He also made sure to answer all our questions. They both definitely made our tiki cruise so enjoyable and memorable. Overall we enjoyed our experience with Lost Isle Adventures. The staff were great and made it very worthwhile. The price point for both the tiki cruise and tiki drinks was more than fair. The boat tour was about 45 minutes long which was more than enough time to relax and see the area. Witnessing the sea otters and sea lions up close made our kids' day. This weekend activity was definitely a major highlight from our recent trip to the Central Coast. The Wife and I went out on the Sunset 21+ Adult Tour. We had such a great time. The crew was amazing, funny, and friendly! They definitely encouraged the whole group to have a good time. And good times are always better with some drinky-drinks. We had 4 during the tour (Zombie, Leaky Tiki, and 2 others that I can't remember). Drinks were delicious and worth the price. Whether you take the sunset tour or any of the earlier tours, I'm sure you'll have a great experience. In fact, if we had more time, we'd take multiple tours in a day and just enjoy drinks on the water. Well worth it! read more

The deckhand spoke very highly of working for the company which is always a good sign and the crew were very kind and helpful throughout even when half the boat was puking over the side! My wife and I live in Orcutt and this was our first whale watching trip on the Central Coast. The weather was perfect and the swells were not bad. Captain Bruce and his crew were awesome and took us to where the humpbacks have been previously spotted. We saw a pod of 3 whales plus many more. It was an amazing experience. The whales were very active, jumping out of the water and many tail waves. We have been on many whale excursions in Maui and were excited to see our local whale population. Are you in Morro Bay and looking for something to do and you're on a budget? You need to come to Lost Isle Adventure! My husband and I stepped into a shop to look around and the clerk asked if we were checking in. We were very confused at first but apparently they do little harbor tours on this little tiki bar/boat. It was only $25 per adult. We decided to sign up for the 5:00pm tour. My husband didn't want to at first but once we did it, he was very pleased with the experience. We learned some interesting facts about Morro Rock and went home with some cute tiki souvenir cups. They don't short change you on the drinks!!! The staff was super nice and it was a fun experience. Husband and I did the tiki sunset cruise on 10/23 and it was so fun! Definitely our vibe. There were only 2 other couples on board so it was laid back. Cocktails were good and views were even better! Bartender and captain were also super nice! Bartender gave us some fun facts about morro bay and even gave us some pirate tea. I can't say enough great things about this tiki bar adventure! We came on a busy weekend and the tiki bar itself was full, but the staff offered to take us out on the whale-watching boat for a tiki cruise instead. I actually enjoyed it even more, since we got to head out into the ocean instead of just staying in the bay--what a treat! I love visiting Morro Bay and especially if it is a sunny day! I found this fun 45 minute boat ride of the Morro bay harbor. Perfect for families with kids! Loved the fun cocktails offered, or for kids a Shirley temple! The staff could not have been more friendly and fun ( thanks Doug, Kevin, and Emily) who shared some fascinating facts during the trip. Most amazing whale watching trip I have ever been on! Sony whales, sea lions, pelicans and cormorants. The whales were singing, breaching, spouting and hanging out on the surface next to the boat. It was so awesome! Bring water, a jacket and snacks for the trip! read more

Saw the Tiki boats on a previous trip and was interested but did not have time to stop. Me and the girls were visiting the central cost and decided to try out the Lost Isle Adventures Tiki bar boat and it was so much fun! Not only is the boat ride kid friendly but it is also pet friendly and Stella even made a few friends in the boat:) drinks were good and of average pricing the tour guide and bartender were very entertaining and had lots of info about the bay and wildlife. Exceptional time!! My husband Bruce and I opted for a three o'clock harbor tour on the tiki boat. Dane , who checked us in, was so gracious and friendly and professionally answered all of my questions about safety concerns... Captain Bruce and bartender Kevin were entertaining as hell! And informative! This was 45 minutes of pure fun and adventure. At 74 (almost) and 75..we don't often do things like this. We enjoyed watching the sea lions and and getting a close up view of Morro Rock. The drinks were moderately priced, made and distributed by Kevin. Blankets and life vests were free of charge. We were disappointed when our tour came to an end.But we plan to do this again next time. My family did the 45 min tiki boat ride and it was fabulous! I have to admit I thought it would go further out into open water BUT we saw soooo much marine life, this little tour around the marina did not disappoint. We saw soooo many otters, there were pelicans diving right in front of us! We saw sea lions and their babies and even a tiger shark someone had caught off the pier! First, the man who checked us in at the shop was awesome. Friendly and made sure to make us aware of options for sea sickness (thanks for the loan of the pressure point wrist bands!). Once in board, we were pretty much left to our own devices. No one came down asking if we were in need of any ginger chew/ale, no one told us when whales were sighted or in which direction (we had to go tell the other viewers on the stern of the boat to come to the bow when we spotted some), and no little bits of whale information was imparted. That being said, it was a very decent price at $65 per person. We did appreciate the respectful distance the captain kept from the whales, and that we got to see them at all, as we went at a shoulder season. read more

Highly recommend! I was a little underwhelmed with Morro Bay itself but this tour was great! We did the 5:30pm sunset tour which was awesome but for evening tours they don't go in detail about wildlife and narrate they just play music while serving drinks. I think I would've liked more narration like the earlier tours maybe the last daytime tour around 4pm would be ideal or maybe a very early one. Nonetheless the boat was shaded (a big plus), they weren't pushy with drinks, and we still saw a ton of wildlife despite it being the evening! We saw a lot of sea otters and different birds. We were visiting Morro Bay and decided at the last minute to do the tiki cruise. We got to the ticketing booth 10 before they were set to leave, and got lucky that they had 2 spots available. The cruise is about 45 minutes round trip. Once you board on the very clean and comfortable boat, the bartender takes the drink orders, which are extra of course. I got the Zombie and husband got a mai tai, and both were good and strong. The captain gave us a good tour around Morro Bay, and we saw so many otters! I really enjoyed that. read more
